It might be beneficial if pledges had to renew their pledge to a cabal every week. If nothing else, it would give the cabalwars command a more accurate headcount.

And how does this improve anything?

And yet...it is a completely accurate headcount. That number of characters have pledged to the cabal.

Add a login echo when you should renew your pledge and this would be nice idea.
