You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

I'm looking for a good font to replace the default Terminal font in Mushclient. The default is a little to small for my old eyes and the only other size bigger is way too big. I've fiddled around a little bit trying to find another font that still lines everything up the way it's supposed to be but so far no luck.

A lot of the code assumes a fixed-width font if you want columns to line up neatly.

Angband fonts. Nice, crisp and fitting for a text-based game.

In yTin I use "Fixedsys". It's the same font you get when you open a command prompt in Windows.

I like the proggy clean (with slashed zero). Dina is pretty good too.
