It seems a lot of times when i try to distract it doesnt work, I was under the impression that it worked all the time, is there a save against it or something?

Doesn't seem to lag them or the people though which is a nightmare when you fight mutliple foes. Mongoose/dillo spamming and noone badly effected by it expect you. Bites have lags, roll, and other stuff. Maybe I am mistaken but there seems to be little drawback to it, unlike warrior/paladins rescue.

Distract and intercept both have advantages and disadvantages when compared to rescue. What those are is left as an exercise to the reader.
