Seen elsewhere:

"I noticed that when I took Lyrical Adaptation and slept a felar and sang him up with romantic then switched to tragic.. my fiend was 'barely create a fiend' on most occassions. You do not get the bonus to tragic Immediately. It BUILDS. Like i said has a 'set in' period."

So I'm asking: when switching repertoires, is there any sort of "ramp up period" where the bard doesn't get the full benefits of the new repertoire immediately?

There is no ramp up period as far as I'm aware. The bonus is there or it isn't.
