What is to be gained by consolidating areas and making fewer cabals that does not involve making it easier for you to find someone to fight?

I question the notion it is so air/offense shapeshifters can have an easier time to find someone with whom to roleplay.

Because if I type out a 5-10 paragraph post or a two sentence post it will meet with the same response. I rely on the grumpy playerpase to put a lot more passion behind it.
I think the reasons I suggested it are pretty clear.

lol, true, they are, and they will. Though I am not sure how many people you are going to get that will say, "yeah sure close down X, I have never wanted to go there before." or an IMP that goes, "You know what? I didn't relly like a whole crap load of these areas anyway."

My guess is not many.

Area consolidation isn't about getting rid of areas. It is about joining them on the where command. As an example arboria, silver tower, and onyx tower are three seperate areas. They could easily be joined to be one under the where command.
