You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

It's probably just that evil RNG messing with my head but I have noticed a pattern that I was curious about.

Does snare check against levels or saves for the PC walking into it?

Every time I've used it and PC's around my level walk into it, it works. Every time a PC with more than 5 or 6 levels on me walks into it, it fails. It just seems a little uncanny so I thought I'd ask.

Try looking at these things as half-full. You'll have more fun. The times at hero where you have three senior enemy cabal leads sitting in a snare is priceless. Or the nightreaver of course. That was priceless too.
