Does strength play a factor in that? So if I start out by weakening a thief would their chances of fleeing and knocking me out be reduced?

Also, for blackjack, it's relatively well known that wearing a strong helmet helps (doesn't stop). I.e., don't wear a crown or a hood!

Of course, the guarranteed way to stop them is to blind them!
