So. If I use the java client up in the top corner, does that bypass using port 9999 on my end and instead have all the traffic flow through typical web traffic ports?

I don't want to use telnet and have an open connect sitting there for an hour plus.

If the java/web client just looks like standard web stuff then I should be ok, right?
