Don't know how whacked-out this is, but I recently had an idea about classes. I haven't thought too much about the cons about it, so it may be real crazy, but I thought I'd shoot it at the CF populace.
Classes and races are always seen in the who list, group command, look, etc. I think seeing the race is good, as it's usually obvious in a realism POV. But I was thinking that, perhaps, classes shouldn't be obvious. Imagine CF where you meet people without knowing their profession and it only becomes known when you rank or fight with them. I think it adds a good bit of mystery and gives weight to the knowledge of a person's class. I like to think of it like the gold change. It's much more scarce, but at the same time, more valuable. I think people would pay more attention to people's descriptions as they would try to find out their class by it. It would probably (heh) change CF in a big way, but I think it'd be in a good way. People would be more cautious in PK situations and it would create a larger enviroment of strategy and the like.
