Guy was a rager I think (least I hope so as there was no real reason to hunt/kill my mage if not) so I am presuming a 1 size difference between his giant form and my human sized form.

Will this extra information help me get a more reasonable reply?

There's other factors, but with a size advantage something like trip lag is possible out of the wilderness, yeah.
