#25162, "Attunement edges"

How do Aura, shield, and barrier attunement work? In the help files it says there is a ---->chance<---- to find a new source. Does that mean that maybe you will not roll a second sleek spot and would have wasted a whole load of edge points?

No, you get a second location. The chance is whether or not you actually find it.

Correct. It's just like having a 'reroll location' edge, except you get to keep the first location(s) too.

I found my sleek amber with previous character and always could have 3 of them (took one, left area, took second, left area, took third and it was all).

But with current mage situation is different: I found my amber, but it is always only one amber wand there (on the mob). It's not difficult to kill him, but it requires additional (regular) time/running, which isn't fun. Can it be solved somehow? I thought attunement would increase this amount, but looks like not?

That it is tedious to kill the mob to get another amber? (There is always only 1 sleek in the location.) Attunement doesn't mean that you get 2 sleeks from that location.

This is how every sleek works. Most sleeks are actually on mobs that you need to kill (to my knowledge at least.) thus every mage has this "problem" that I am 100% certain is BY DESIGN.

You know, gathering wands once you've done it 100 times isn't fun. So why not give every mage the shield/aura/barrier spell once they located their sleek rods so that they don't have to gather them?...

(For those who didn't notice, no I am not serious about that!)

No seriously, I don't see where the problem is in your post. Lots of things in CF ain't fun, but it might be a part of the game balance perhaps?

I have my aura in a container, and there were 3 of them. I didn't need to run there each time I've used out amber rod. I could have 3, and could go somewhere far and use 9 auras, instead of only 3.

In my experiences rods repop a little different than mobs. If I had my black on a mob, I would kill it get my black, either wait a fair amount or kill it twice to get my second rod.

What I wonder is how expensive are the attunement edges really? I seems they are so far above ehren soul, that I might never see them.

Either you're mistaken, or someone got a bunch of aura wands and then stuffed them in that container for some reason.
