You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#25069, "Ghostly Conjurations"

As a conjurer, when you die you are pretty much a waste of skin until you reform, and have time to reconjure, non of which you are able to do except for creating the circles and getting to full mana.

I can totally see why you can't allow a ghost to conjure, since the inherent risk of conjuring isn't there if you can't be attacked by them, but with this it really stinks that you can't kill mobs to regear before you unghost, or do anything else others still have the capability to do, like attack an inner guard to unghost, etc.

I was thinking that perhaps conjurers could have a ghostly conjuration option, that takes less mana than a normal conjuration, but also can only call weak servitors that only last a handful of hours past unghosting, at which point you would need to reconjure as usual. They aren't powerhouses by any means, but can still kill basic regear mobs to get ready for unghosting.

Maybe even make it part of the outfit command for conjurers, where as part of the outfit the guildmaster casts the spell on you and binds them to you to help get you on your feet.
