You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#24057, "size and knockouts"

Assuming my size vs. the thief's size is such that a garrotte|blackjack|weaponbutt can actually happen, do I make the move less likely to succeed by being one size larger than the thief?

That is to say if both the thief and myself are human and I want to minimize the likelihood of getting knocked out, should I enlarge?

Without looking at the code, I know you generally don't help yourself out by being a size larger than the person trying to knock you out. It's possible one or two knockout skills handle it differently, but I can't think of any.
