You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

A vulture pecks at you with his beak.
A vulture's pecking beak MUTILATES you!
A vulture is in perfect health.

You begin to get a feel for a vulture's preferred attacking movements.

This is a rediculous scenario that a dark-elf warrior can get a feel of a vultures attacking movements from one peck!
Recently with my shifter I was fighting an elf dagger spec and he would continually attacking with his low lag dagger spec skills and then flee. This allowed him to build up charges with STSF and never actually have to deal with much in the way of melee attacks from my form.

Could STSF be tweaked a little to at least let a few rounds of combat go between them gaining charges?

P.S. He never killed me solo despite the STSF but probably only because my logins were so short. Think of the poor newbies facing that!

I don't have a problem with the way this works.
