You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

#20435, "question about overt malice edge. txt"

OVERT MALICE
Assassins with this edge who stand proudly in the open (foregoing any
subterfuge or stealth) enjoy increased damage to the various kicks taught by
their society.

Isn't an assassin *always* "in the open" when using kicks, since he's in combat? Or does choosing this edge make it so the assassin can no longer sneak/hide?

i.e. if you have a zero stalk counter (on anyone, not just the guy you are fighting), your kicks do a bit more damage.

I could be completely wrong, but I believe that was the general purpose of the edge, was for non-sneaky-stalker-types of assassins who want to just run up and smack some guy.
