You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

#20024, "Push"

I was thinking randomly at work about rescue. Why I don't know. but anywho

What if there was a skill warriors and even Paladins could use where you push somone whos tanking the blows or in the way. or even getting hurt badly buy spells and such, to one of the surrounding rooms?

This would be a good idea to kind of get them out of the heat of battle, rescue is good and all but it wont stop them from area spells or area attacks and stuff. and you could have it set up sorta like, when your practicing it. You will push them in the wrong direction or miss. And later on youll have less chance to miss and push them in the wrong direction.

ae

push (char) east.

In the sway of battle you accedently push (char) west.

Personally, I don't see the need for your suggestion.

When you're rescued, you're lagged. Walking out of the room requires a wait time. Time when you could be aoe'd.

If you're like me, you use autoassist liberally. When you're rescued, most people are put right back into combat.

When you're fighting multiple foes, a rescue saves you from one. The others will still be doing harm to you. You can't walk out.

So push would be very useful. Much better than rescue.
