You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Probably all of us know of the skill of going BERSERK. A skill that increases one's hit and damage rolls, but decreases skill's effectiveness.

Is there a skill that does the complete opposite? Dreasing hit and damage rolls, but increases your skills? If not I think it would be a fantastic idea to have one. Perhaps, with its opposite nature to Berserk, called Concentrate?

Truthfully this idea would be nice.
A warrior would be more likely to strike his opponent if he is concentrating. I think it would be better for races with higher int and wis than strengh.
It would be more likely that it would Increase your hit roll rather than decrease it.

It also sounds like something that would be good to make mages not fail spells as much. I doubt they will add this idea.
