I'll assume this is by design, otherwise I'd post on the bugboard. You can call feral growl on top of warcry and get the feral growl bonuses that don't overlap warcry then an echo "you are already blessed" for the +hit bonuses.

However, you cannot call warcry on top of feral growl. The thing is though feral growl doesn't have any spell saves bonus. It seems to me, since you don't have the full affects of bless (or warcry) from feral growl that you should be able to use either while under the affect of feral growl.
