NB ALL HYPOTHETICAL!!!!

Each weapon type an AP wields would allow entry into a demonic-devilish path of AP adaptions. The first step would require dedication to the pathway by sacrificing a weapon with X number of charges in it. This may be done with a level 51 spell something along the lines of dark sojourn.

Examples:

Morosa path way would be entered by sacrificing a polearm with ten charges in it.

Vrok via daggers

Succubi/Succubus via whips.

Barbed via flails.

Etc..

Each step on the Morosa path would require the sacrifice of a polearm with greater number of charges on it. Steps would give the AP demonic attributes that would aid him depending on which path.

Example:

Vrok path, entered via charged dagger sacrifices:
1) dedication to Vrok with some unknown benefits/weaknesses.
2) second step the AP's nose, mouth and chin are fused into a beak for slashing bite attack.
3) third step the AP gains a set of ruby eyes which grant infravision/nightvision/detect invis permanent.
4) fourth step could possibly be clawed feet for stronger kicks with the possibility of some malediction from being kicked.
5) maybe the final step wings for permanent flight and/or the wingsweep(enhanced wingsweep for Arials)

Now of course this would have to come with a drawback to balance it. So I propose that each time an AP dies he or she takes a CON check to see if they are fully absorbed into a ravaging demon that takes over their body and runs amok. This would be a final death then and leave a present for anyone nearby in PK range to have to deal with.

Demonic Source material:

Also this allows for a very well RPed AP to be given a chance develop along a quest demonic/devilish path as the Imms feel appropriate. Much like shifters but the attributes are not all encompassing and the AP never loses them once acquired unless of course they do something to earn the ire of their demonic/devilish focus.

I think this would work well in balance with Paladins being very RP driven. Also it gives APs a way to get some benefit out of charges without the fear of losing that key weapon and having to start all over again. Sure they lose a weapon but in the hopes of greater power yet with a definate risk involved. Much like the necromancers.

Also an AP would not have to chose to follow any path at all and just be a charge monster. More options may mean more fun, no? Also I think it would rock not knowing what type of AP you were fighting until you looked at it or saw some skills of the path being used. Oh one path per AP cause we all know demons/devils are very selfish.

Cheers.
