#79, "Improvements for the New CF player: Quests"

So I was thinking about the low level quests in the beginning mainly revolving around Olgakar, Simon and maybe some other super low level one. What if the person in question does something dumb like gives the xylophone back to Olgakar before its finished or another mob, or the jug to simon. Could there be a way for the Mob to go "ACK I DONT NEED IT YET" and hand it back? With a re-explanation of the quest. Just a thought.

So giving the xylophone back to another mob will never change. You're screwed at that point (because I'm not adding code to every single mob in the game to check for random gives).
I'm not opposed to changing quests to make them more newbie friendly, but if the quest log is accurate and you screw up, I'm less inclined to protect you.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Perhaps what could be done for quests like that is to break them down like with the Cabal quest. One item at a time.
Right now, the xylophone quest is just one big list in the "Quest" command. And I can think of a few others like that. If it would be changed as the Cabal quest, current job to do only, perhaps it would ease the burden a little and be newbie friendly ?
Also, I think that the Demon quest from Voralian has a nice feature that could be incorporated to other quests : The mob sais something like "You're not ready yet, come back later" and this, I think, is a good way to know if you're too early for the quest (And perhaps add one when you're too late ? This way, newbies could take note that there WAS something there)
