#809, "Transmuter's corporeal, petrify and calcify spells should work like the metabolic ones."

They do work like this is almost every way already. Calcify cancels decalcfy, and vice versa, for example. But casting decalcify on yourself is treated like using any aggresive spell, so you lose spell percentage for trying. Why not just let transmuters use calcify and corporeal softening on themselves without that penalty? It will make using those class protections a little less of a chore, for sure. I don't think it's really unbalanced either, since changing what you have up will take time and especially mana, which is always in demand for transmuters.

I can't even think of a reason that you would want this.
The help files are very clear These are both destructive spells, and should never be directed at one's own person or allies. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

When you cast decalcify on another player or mob that's affected by calcify, the calcify is removed. Corporeal softening act the same way with petrify flesh and corporeal hardening . Letting a transmuter use those same spells, the same way, on themselves, is what I'm hoping you'll consider allowing. This would be useful to remove your heavy protections and switch over to malleability, for example, or to take off calcify when you need to fly. It just adds a little flexibilty.

There isn't a lot a transmuter needs to make that kind of tactical choice about, and I'd be loathe to remove one of the few things where they do. I think they're a more interesting class for needing to pick one or the other and stick with it for a bit.
SZ may feel differently, though.
