The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

#493, "Symphonic echos and groups"

I was wondering if this song could be changed a tiny bit. One on one its fine but when a group with a bard in it is hunting a single person it just destroys almost any chance the gankee has of useing tactics other then area spells.

So my suggestion is if your fighting multiple people you miss less often the more people you fight. the justification being that there is only so much empty space you can hit and if more people are filling it up then your likely to hit something. Perhaps instead of just lowering the miss chance you get a chance to hit someone else instead.

You swing your axe at Joe but end up passing through his image to hit Bob.
your chop wounds bob.

Perhaps I simply don't understand how to overcome echos once it lands aside from the edge but its just frustrating getting ganked into the ground and any slim chance of victory or taking someone with you get destroyed by a song which makes you miss over half your skills and hits.

I wouldn't start kickin in the penalty until it was 3 against 1

Can you swing through and hit someone in your own group?

Can you swing through and hit someone who isn't even involved in the fight?

Can you swing through and knock yourself off balance and fall on your own weapon?

I see what you're saying, but this has the potential to be a lot bigger change than what you've focused it on (swinging through one enemy to hit another). A difficult thing to determine is how you determine who "someone else" is that you get to hit.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
