You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

I think it would be neat to have a weapons weight mean more in combat. With the item standaradization that occured would it be possible have weapons destroyed in combat? As you parry against much larger and heavier weapons.. eventually they are going to sustain damage and break. It gives some power to heavy weapons and adds another dimension in how to dress/wield for certain situations. Perhaps someday there could even be a way to inflict levels of damage a weapon has occured. A blacksmith could be used to repair blades(even edges you could throw out with dwarves to craft more durable weapons--reduced priceses, etc).

My second is to lower the animation process necromancers face on 'animate dead'. Its already subjective to fail a lot and take up to several hours to actually succeed in raising an army. If that is not negotiable then I would ask for perhaps more restricted summoning of their zombies. Limit to PK less they have 'trustall'.

This always ends up failing the funstick test.

Did it last time, and I'm fine with how it currently is.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
