You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

I haven't played an assassin in ages, but from what I recall you could markoftheprey someone, and then locatemark them. But, while marked you can't assassinate them.

So...if you mark them, then they run off somewhere and you locatemark them, go find them, you can't even stalk them?

What I am getting at is an option to cancel the mark without having to mark another character. This is so you can begin stalking after tracking someone down. The drawback is that you lose the mark, and if you lose the person at that point it'll be harder to get going again.

So...

Added Syntax:
markoftheprey (victim)
markoftheprey none

syntax: markoftheprey <victim>
markoftheprey self

Marking the victim, the assassin is able to stake their claim on the life
of their victim. A marked victim will always be visible to the assassin
that marked them. Marking yourself will cancel the currently marked victim.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
