You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#419, "Marketing tagline"

I was hoping to come up with a marketing tagline - a one-line blurb that would get someone who is not familiar with CF to come check it out. We have a really creative community, and I'd like to tap into that to come up with something catchy - something we can stick on a ballpoint pen or bottle opener or small magnet.

For example:

The Carrion Fields: Where creative and competitive collide. www.carrionfields.com

The Carrion Fields: Read. Write. Be. www.carrionfields.com

The Carrion Fields: Gaming by roleplayers, for roleplayers. www.carrionfields.com

The Carrion Fields: Roleplay and mortal combat in a high fantasy world. www.carrionfields.com

I'm looking for quantity, not quality. So if you have a few minutes, throw some ideas (no matter how dumb they are) under this post. Once we have a few dozen out there, we can pick a few to use as our "official" marketing lines. Don't worry about grammar or spelling. I'm looking for ideas, not perfection.

Thanks!

I'll think up some, but I can't quickly and easily come up with something more hardcore, more mysterious and intriguing than

The Carrion Fields: By which name do you wish to be mourned? Roleplaying, Combat, Magic, Death, and lots of it.

The Carrion Fields: The Real Role Playing Game

The Carrion Fields: Be whatever you want

The Carrion Fields: Destroy the Darkness... Or the Light

The Carrion Fields: Explore.

The Carrion Fields: Quests, treasure, glory.

The Carrion Fields: Berserker/Thief/Ranger/Mage/Healer- Which are you?

The Carrion Fields: Become a God.

The Carrion Fields: Where Heros come to play.

The Carrion Fields: An intricate fantasy world of intrigue and power.

Okay, that's all I got for now. I doubt any of these will help much, but I thought I'd try to encourage the brain-storming.

Thanks to Shadowmaster for taking a few minute to toss out some ideas.

Here is a list of words that might be included in a tagline. If you can't think of a full marketing tagline, at least stop by and add a few words that describe what CF is to you. Hopefully this jumpstarts some interest.

Combat
