Hi!
I play a goblin now, and there is not a whole lot of resources around for them, either here or on the Discord. Not even on that other website...
So I thought I would make a post here in the hopes of having something a little less ephemeral than the Discord for future raiders to reference.
I am almost to level 40 but I don't seem to be able to stand up to people in my PvP range, or even do all that well against things that are supposed to be in my PvE range.
I am also thinking about the design of the class. "Support DPS" seems to be what it's made for, that or "dodge tank", to use MMO archetypes.
If solo: Summon up a mount, use a bow, and use the mount to help your damage in the hopes of blasting down whatever you're fighting before it blasts you down. I have had mixed results using dual-wielded weapons (I have 100% in all my weapon skills except spear, which I'm working on, but I doubt that 100% in spear will suddenly tip the scales). Apply DoT with flaming, poison, bloodsteep, etc. And try to win the war of attrition.
I'm well aware that my knowledge of gear and what to gear for is probably the main limiting factor here. I think that my damroll is still at like...ten, hah, and I haven't done a whole gear revamp since a top-down once-over that I did at about level 25.
A smattering of other posts on the forums suggest that they can actually be pretty monstrous in PvP but I haven't been able to do a whole lot that wasn't just booting around people who wouldn't be able to do much (I PK'd a healer in relatively early ranks and that's about it, except for some escapes from fights that were thrust on me that I quickly scarpered away from).
Anyway, those are my observations and questions about playing and gearing raider/goblin. What do you think?
