What happens when a whip spec elf try to strip an iron weapon from opponent?

The help file says there a chance, when try to strip, that the weapon will end up in inventory. As an elf (or drow) warrior, does any of you ever stripped a foe and ended up with an iron (or mithril for drow) weapon in their inventory?

And its something that at various points has been discussed without any resolution as to if it should or should not happen. But for the time being, you can (and on occasion) will catch weapons that you otherwise wouldn't be able to hold onto via strip.
