Greetings everyone,
I am finding that archery is a good skill to use when ranking solo. The only thing is it is slow because you only get one attack per round. It is also good to use during pvp. My first question is: Will I ever get more than one attack a round using it? My next question is: Can you fire at an opponent from a distance?

rapid shot will give you two attacks per round with a bow. No, you won't really get a ranged attack ( except against air shifted in the skies).
