As far as I know, no, although I'm hardly an authority on what's out there.

In terms of good/evil and order/chaos, the biggest factors are which PCs are around and where the relevant cabal items are.

Old-Nexus used a much simpler system: It basically added up the levels of good characters online and the levels of evil characters online and compared those numbers. I think it's pretty obvious that there would be a fair handful of cases where that would steer you wrong.

The new system has been in place tracking the balance since May or so, and we've had a lot of time to observe the results it comes up with, compare them with our gut feeling of who's winning or losing, and tweak them here and there. That's not to say that they're perfect and will see no further adjustment, but a lot more thought has gone in this time around.

The system for magic doesn't have all the pieces in play in game quite yet so I don't want to comment quite yet. Probably in the next day or so.

Eh, not necessarily. Scion's membership skews a little chaotic right now, but there's nothing requiring ethos in their charter.

For the moment that's not the case.

What about battleragers? I remember that the old Nexus was always at war with the Ragers.. First because the Ragers considered the Nexus a full-mage cabal, and two... well.. can't remember exactly why Nexus was retaliating, but probably just not to get kicked in the nuts... :p
