You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

Seriously, imagine my suprise to see that Nexus is, at least in some incarnation, coming back. I'm amazed and delighted as I always felt the Nexus philosophy was one of the most dynamic and creative in the game. My congratulations to you for bringing it back.

My character Yhorian (And his cat, Pushwance!) were Nexuns - I loved reading into their history, learning about the Rift and playing with the theory of conjuration - there were so many roleplay links for me to work with, I barely had to do anything to use them. I got CF hoooked when the Moderator once pet my cat and I think that was the first time I jumped up and said 'This immteraction is freakin' awesome!' Soon after Yhorian deleted, enter a nexus druid, a nexus healer and a nexus transmuter that all failed to be as fun as the first (sadly). Time for me to finally make what I wanted Optomkiptum to be (he was originally designed to be an excentric Nexun transmuter!)

Ah, reminiscing: Druid vs rager back then was evil. I honestly had no idea how protection herbs worked, and I was just sunraying to hell while they'd spam bash my thorns Props to those that got past my crap tactics and actually pincered! I'll be happy to roll up a Nexite the second I get time for a serious character. Thanks again for bringing an old passion back from the grave.

Yhorian.
