#93119, "Xarghuldaar is giving up the Horde to some up and comme..."
|
I was getting a tad bit too involved with the character and I think I have well outplayed my Chieftain chars, I pretty much rolled him up because there wasn't a Chieftain and I think they add a lot of aspects to the game. I know damn well the Fort and Outlanders love to hunt me so at least it gives them something to do. Overall this character was a good ride, I took down Knacnar solo and punked Rupen so many times after he got the Butcher title that I feel I can rest now and let someone else take their hand at Chieftain. Orcs really aren't that handicapped, with a few minimal preps your survivability increases 10 fold. I had my first experience of beating an invoker solo as well, btw use shield of slime not shield of elec and I won't be able to do that again.
I'm going to try my hand at someone different, I haven't had a mage since masters so we'll see and as bitter as I am that Battle doesn't have to prep I bet after all these years as an Orc a berserker villager might be fun.
Thror, thanks for letting me in the Warriors contest... its hard as #### to win that and I made a few mistakes. I still think if Knacnar wasn't poisoned by the dragon breath and I had time to prep after the initial spinebreak I could have won that fight but alas it wasn't meant to be.
Questions/Comments/Concerns - Orcs at all? Let me know.
Brian,
Alzinghul, Dakazhul, Xarghuldaar, Gnashgaar, and a slew others to get the hang of them.

Give it a serious go with something that isn't an orc, or at least, isn't a Mamlauk. There's got to be a decent Shig-ru or something in you!

I knew it was annoying you some of the time since I would just walk in and fiend you. I always just assume every orc will strike an elf, so I always just struck first, and nocturne would usually just be a means to get them to leave me alone. I know all our encounters were pretty one sided, but that's how it is sometimes, and I'm glad we got in one real fight at least.
If you had berserked before I got there I probably would have died quite a bit to you.

Your build just wasn't made to fight me. But you kept trying. And you kept changing tactics. Well played, even in defeat.

I felt a little guilty about the cheap way our fights usually went, but now that I know you took down Knacnar solo...yikes. I feel happy just to have avoided dying.

You know, as much as I didn't like Xarg, I liked him. It was somewhat of a passive aggressive relationship for me.
He had balls of steel and was ready to throw down whenever. We had some squabbles when he first became chief, but towards the end it died down.
Regardless, I did enjoy our interactions and playing against you. A tough orc chieftain, definitely - the next orc chieftain will have a large shoe to fill in.
I need to try an orc chieftain someday to see what all the fuss is about.
Good luck with your next!

Just a question. My memory of your listed characters is that they are all Mamlauk's, so I'm not sure how much insight you have into orcs at hero, since Mamlauk is the only maldicting orc, and that just isn't how the others play, but please correct me if I am mistaken. Other than that, you were a competent orc chief, and I enjoyed fighting you.
