If you try another conjurer at some point, consider writing yourself a role where for some reason you can't practice magic missile. I feel like you went to the well of spamming it in a lot of cases where one of the other spells on your class list (to say nothing of wands/talismans/scrolls) was a clearly stronger choice, and maybe if you took that option away you'd make better use of the other options.

I think this would make the class more tactically fun and more effective for you.
