A big thank you to all the imms and players who made the past thousands of hours fun. RL's been a cheeky bitch with problems piling up, yet with lots of good stuff going on at the same time. But that really wouldn't make anyone delete when they have the option of going dormant. It's just reached a point where I'm not contributing to the game anymore, and neither am I taking anything from it so yeap, time to delete. I mean, my mort got sapped of xp (screw you Twist! :p) for going 'ooc', so I guess I'm just not enjoying it anymore.

A few general comments and personal shout outs!

BATTLE
Always will have a special place in my heart. I loved it as a mort, loved it as an imm. The whole thing just really fits with the play and rp style I'm most comfortable with. Besides, I'd say the most awesome bunch of people to work with up there are the Battle imms collectively from 51-60. Running this cabal was probably the most fun thing for me as an imm and something I will miss!

RELIGION
While I did tattoo quite a number of people, I'd say only 3 or 4 really grasped the religion 100%. Or I'm forgetting some. It's one of those either you get it, or you don't sort of things I reckon..so it'll either be really easy, or really hard for you If anyone has questions, I'll be happy to answer. The most memorable followers were Acvilar, Borkahd and Woldrun. Thanks for keeping the religion fun for me!

IMMS
Marcatis - I put you first so you wouldn't cry. You're still my best girl friend Joke aside, if there's one person I'm glad I made friends with up there that would be you. Nuf' said.

Kasty - My fav imm back when I was a mort, thought you were great as a person too. Like I've said before, Battle just isn't Battle without you. A lot of how Battle is awesome to play or work with has a lot to do with how you originally ran it. So props.

Ysal - Enjoyed the chats and working with you on Battle stuff. Don't stop updating me on dates you'll be in Thailand for Muay Thai..we'll keep trying to meet up until it actually happens :p

Thror - Battle is in good hands with you back I know I was supposed to help you with the web efforts, but it seems like I really don't have much time right now, or more importantly, the passion to do anything CF related. It's awesome what you're doing though, good luck to you and the team.

Fjarn - My first mentee. You're smart, stable, good for this game and your area is pimp. All the best with RL and imm stuff!

Borkahd - Will miss the drunk, rubbish chatter and mini quests we ran together :p All the best with your area, you're getting there and then it'll all be much more fun. You have permission to invade my hut and fill it up with elves by the pool :p You were top notch. I'll drop you that email as promised soon.

Malakhi - I enjoyed all the late night chats they were fun. Feels like we own the MUD at 2am don't it :p Keep in touch for sure.

Valg - Rawr. The one person I'm really going to miss since there is no other way to get hold of you :p Anyway, good times! I appreciated and liked your thorough explanations on how things worked, wit, humour, and how you led by example. Plus you do the best ROTD :p You're not as evil as your race suggests, but let's not ruin your reputation :p I'll miss all your magic, it's really awesome you're back.

Zulg - The one person that really keeps the MUD alive with his knowledge and passion. You kickass..don't know how you run CF and RL at top quality 100% of the time. You have my respects as an imm and person.

Seb - I'm sure I'll catch you around some time You were nice to talk to. If I ever return to CF, we need to run that code mentoring thing for real.

Daev - Good chats, I enjoyed them. Thanks for helping me along with progs, sets, areas and whatnot whenever you could. Or maybe you're the easiest IMP to summon through the *cough*wife*cough* :p In any case, thanks and keep in touch. Let me know when that kid arrives!

Twist - Don't talk to you much and your humour is too American for me (sometimes I just don't get it :p), but you were definitely a great guy. Thanks for trying the religion out..you totally rocked the charts.

Corrlaan - We make fun of you all the time but that's cos we love ya :p I'm sure we'll be keeping in touch. p.s. Next time we do warrior death match, don't quest all the way up..fully progged outfit isn't going to save your ass even then :p

Enlilth - Don't bring shame to the sphere! Heh I remember launching our religions together. Anyway you were good fun and great at improvising. Keep in touch, NOFX ftw!

Cyradia - Well I think I see you on facebook more than CF :p In any case, you were/are awesome.

Raybaer - I'll admit I hated you in the beginning..I thought you were such a massive bitch, busybody, heroimm abuser on top of a string of other things :p But these days you're better and I actually like our conversations! Gonna miss ya, keep in touch and here's wishing you a healthy baby and happy family.

Nelly - Good times, especially bitching sessions while we were both heroimms GL with RL

Anliltuel - 2nd mentee. Sorry I abandoned you..I think Raybaer is offering to adopt :p In any case I think you have a good area in your hands, so get the main bulk done asap and you're more or less ok.

MORTS
Cerunnir - A friend way before I immed. I'm glad our friendship progressed past CF chatter. I really need to do that Asia to Europe by land trip soon..and I'll be sure to hit your area and make use of that madress..or however you spell it ;p

Sassmi - We live in the same country so better meet up for coffee soon or else... :p Haha anyway, keep in touch woman.

Sorry if I left anyone out..way too many hours to recall everything. Just post and I'll reply. If you want to contact me, my cf mail is still working..for now.

Cheers.

First, I'd like to say that if things change in your schedule and aspirations, you should consider shooting us an email about a comeback.

I enjoyed all the energy you brought to the game, and your dedication to keeping things fun for the players in a time slot where your work often went under the radar. I'm glad that whatever weird sleep schedule you keep let us overlap a good bit, and it was fun to work with you on your area. You made a lot of unheralded contributions to ongoing projects, and you were always someone I could count on when you told me you'd do something.

Thank you for the offer, I might take it up one day in the distant future

Yea 5am my time and I'd be online..wishing I lived in the US cos the MUD was alive then :p But I did enjoy the subdued late night crowd best. Because often they do not expect anyone to be watching or rewarding, and they're just off doing their thing.

I'm transferring all that energy to real life matters for now..going to do a good bit of long distance backpacking when I'm able, plus I have a lot of personal projects I need to complete, and things I need to learn. Rest assured it'll be well spent

And yes the prog part of the area where you came in was the most fun aspect of it. I enjoyed it as well, and thanks for debugging that crazy ass loop bug :p

Hope you don't want to throw me off a building anymore. Stupid heroimms with stupid passwords...

Much love!

I didn't get to experience Yean as a Mort. I didn't even get much of a chance to experience Yean as an Immortal. What I got to experience was a person, who way by every means genuine and authentic.

You were a great addition to this mud and it's hard to see that fire fade from anyone, player or Immortal. I think you'll find yourself wondering how things are going and hoping to be a part of this game again after a brief hiatus. When you do, we'll be waiting here with arms open.

I'm going to miss you, a lot. I had a lot of fun with you as both a mortal and an Imm. I loved the religion, it fit Borkahd well. Thanks for the awesome tat quest thingy you did with me and my right-hand Woldrun!

I will really miss those drunken talks. Really.

Best of luck, babe! Keep in touch!

Yes I was fortunate enough to have a top notch Commander and Drillmaster following me at the same time :p What are the chances of that happening at all? So the tat quest thing was definitely a rare occasion, and one that I will remember.

Keep the info to yourself :p Cheers.

Ah I still remember running with Ginharq as Icthaen. Those were the good old (and bad) days. I would skip entire days of class to try to regain the orb with you versus bad odds and then try to regear for the 129494th time. I hated school, but I had CF. I think Ginharq owes me about 3 failed courses. Pretty sure after that you were the next Marshall after Grysh with Reir. Then as Yean we ran together quite a bit with my myriad of villagers, and I specifically remember you being around when I finally got a Drillmaster (Charunycain my last serious character). We always seemed to end up on the same side which has happened with a few other players as well (Gerylanst/Acaga comes to mind). You definitely kept having fun a premium over powergaming and we had that in common. I think we've both come a long way, so in a sense it's good to see that real life is consuming you. That being said I checked Dio/CF a couple weeks ago for the first time in over a year, so I guess you never really leave. For me I just can't imagine putting in the amount of time it takes to have a decent character these days and I never was the type to be able to play an hour/day or something consistent like that. It was always all or nothing.

All the best to you, you're a good person from what I can tell and you tell it like it is which is a great quality.

Take care,

Grysh

Those were definitely one of my golden moments in CF too. I was also a student back then and I think Icthaen owes me 3 failed courses as well I think we made a killer combo with those two and I had a lot of fun. Up til now, transmuter is my favourite mage class to play. Yes, me you Gery always seemed to end up on the same side of the fence. And it was always a good time.

I hope you've been well..say hi from time to time! Cheers.

Heh..I'm not from Thailand, but I go there from time to time for a quick getaway. Ysal goes there to referee matches, and we have been talking about meeting there and having a beer but our timings never coincided unfortunately.

Thanks, I liked Raner as well. Funny thing is, I don't think I had that many followers compared to imms like Baer, Iunna and Thror, so I think I remember everyone's names :p Have fun with whatever you're doing!

To be honest the Fairtex gym is a bit touristy. You may or may not get some good training there depending on whether someone takes a liking to you. More often you will get pad work and minor instruction.
If you are really serious and don't mind heading outside of Bangkok then
head to Por Pramuk Gym. Not as chic at Fairtex, but you will get better training.
I'll be back in Thailand probably November, and then again late Feb and March for the WMF World Amateurs in Bangkok. All depends on UFC schedules and what not though, I should have been there last month but had to cancel because of a fight in Denver.

It was nice having someone around during the stretches when I'd be on late during my nights.

I appreciated you offering to run little quests with me, and being able to help out Maranating or with questions I had.

Best of luck with everything!

But yes, I enjoyed running late night quests with you as well, it was plenty fun. And I feel it's small things like these that keep the heroimms alive, since they're restricted from doing many fun things for awhile, they tend to forget why they're putting so much effort doing what they have to. I mean, these activities do not take up much time or effort at all, and everyone benefits from it.

Will miss the relaxed late night conversations and discussions for sure. All the best with your area, I'm expecting to see you as a 53 soon.

You'll be sorely missed. You positively impacted more of my morts than you probably know/remember - not just Woldrun, but Galtholnicus (despite giving him an xp hole, you gave him a cool induction), and a few others that I don't remember specifics on.

We'll miss you covering rolexp and latenight prayers and stuff, too.

Most of all I'll miss your generally positive attitude and laid back style.

And "dude" it was 50xp. Not even enough to affect your edgepoints.

Well it was a two way thing..Woldrun impacted my imm as well :p He was kickass and totally deserves that spot on the pillar. Since the death of Woldrun (was that half a year ago or something?), we've had some good leaders but no one has managed to take the Village up to the standards you brought along with your leadership yet.

Haha yes it was just 50xp..but really, I'm a goddamn imm..something is wrong (with me) if my xp is getting sapped at all :p

Cheers.

Just came back to CF after about 2 years gone, so I'm sad to see this happen. I could tell from the beginning that you were going to be a great Imm, you were a very detail oriented area writer, which is very good. I wish I would have bowed out gracefully when I started having no time/was getting burned out. Anyway, wish I would have been a better mentor to you, but you obviously didn't need one anyway because it looks like you did really well.

Farigno

PS. I haven't logged in since I was an Imm to this login, so I hope it doesn't have the Imm flag anymore.

You were a really nice guy and one of the few who tried to do something for the heroimms back then. I remember writing 11 or so descs for an area or quest of yours just an hour after imming :p And yes, I like my details And I think you got me mixed up with Zesam, as Lyristeon was my main mentor

Good luck with work, life, whatever other hobbies you've taken up now. And I'm glad you didn't smite me for the impertinent OOC tell from my character

When you said you were deleting you totally promised me a set of goodbyes that would blame someone other than me for you deleting.

For everyone else's benefit, we like Yean, will miss her, and are optimistic that we'll see her back on staff someday. Everyone gets burned out now and again; some people choose to delete instead of just being a deadbeat for a few years as I had done.

I like your religion except I didn't like the sphere choices so I only ever played one follower. A Druid whose name I forget.

As an OOC Imm and RP Imm you were fun and were seen as one of the best by me and others.

Looking forward to a mysterious "Immspiracy-esqe" goodbye but I'm going to guess it's just that Battle has a lot of Imm's right now.

Good Luck in Life.

No hit on you, I never had anything but possitive experiences where you were concerned.

I logged on with one of my Villagers, quite some time ago. I don't
remember who it was, but know it wasn't Mac.

I was immediately summoned, cursed, blinded, plagued and poisoned.

As I was running I asked over cb "Am I alone?" hoping that perhaps
some hidden defender could come to my rescue.

The response was, from my POV, Someone: You are never alone,
Villager.

I was dead within sixty-seconds, but that has stayed with me as an
awesome Battle moment, and is one of the reasons that I keep rolling
Villagers.

I'm pretty sure it was Yean. If it was, thank you for that. If it
wasn't, thank you for all of your time and energy. It is much
appreciated.

This is unsettling! And completely shocking, especially after our chat a few days ago. What you did really gave me some motivation to play. I kind of assumed you were behind the cb compliments I got after that. With all of my past battle characters I've always held you in very high regard. You are definately one of my favorite imms. In fact, after that recent talk with you I had decided to make my next char a Yean follower! A shame I can't now.

I am sure you have good reasons for doing this. I hope it wasn't a decision made because of some sort of negative situation. You are in my opinion a very valuable asset to this game. Best of luck to you!

I was actually already contemplating deleting way before that incident. But figured while still in the game anyway, might as well interact with Battle guys a bit since I do enjoy that.

Not a joke :p I might return some day but right now, it's not something I want in my life. Cheers.

Never got to role a follower of yours, but I never heard anything but good things about you. Mud's worse off with you gone. Good luck with things.

I hope things are ok--I suspect that the person behind curtain is as likable as the character. Be well, and do good things.

So long to a great presence in CF, along with my current role thoughts. Or maybe you just went for a new imm persona, maybe we'll get lucky and still have you around as something new and equally great for the game.

Nope..my entire cf career was just one imm. Some people can do two or three..I can't. Heck I can't even play a mort properly with an imm char existing..weird as it is. Maybe now I can roll a mort

There has been bad #### going on of late (for example, a surgery in two weeks), but also a lot of good stuff to balance it out so I'm not gonna complain. Thanks and the same to you!
