Im pretty certain you can find some meaning for most named in carrionfields, if you look at various languages around the world.

It's spelled incorrectly. I always hoped his lastname was "de Vaca".

Pretty much it comes down to only a few imms being aware that this is a similar spelling to a common word in spanish and them deciding it wasn't really that big of a deal to go through renaming.

It's not cah-BAY-sa, it's CAB-uh-sah!
