You were insanely tough. I went from being a complete terror in sub-40 ranges, to a wimp at 51 faced with Kostyan, Igbah with his crazy damroll... you were the one ally I had who could actually beat those two guys upside down. It was a very odd alliance we had since my play times fitted very well (too well!) with Kostyan and yours, and sort of unbalanced since you can slaughter Kostyan 1v1, Kostyan slaughters me 1v1 (if I'm not prepped AND obscenely decked at the same time)... I can't remember too many powerhouses in Fort since Acvilar/Hiajist deleted, and I'm not sure of the current crop of Forties. Wish Fort had 1 (just 1!) char like Nizidrayt...
Felt that kill on Ahtieli was cheap too, but well CF is CF At least we tried (except for belt!) to leave everything, it would be just downright spiteful to loot someone killed by opium pipe gang.
You're a very cool player, and very skilled considering how few chars you've played. I didn't interact with too many of your other chars with my old chars, so I can't say much. But I know Kubilak and Halistanis were definitely insanely good in PK.
Thanks for deciding I was cool I'm actually just a very normal player, and Humbert was my very first try at intensive lowbie/midbie pk.

Did you really dislike me personally? I had a vat full of respect for you IC, I just am not likely to show it. You were tough. Really tough. I was the odd match for you that you had no chance of killing no matter how good the odds were in your favor, I could kill you if you stuck around (but you were smart enough not to). Other than that I was tired of outlander gank attempts at me, I'm a wood-elf for Pete's sake, why would elves and cloud giants and rangers (non mages at that) try to gank the living daylights or set traps for me I could never figure out. You were a part of one and I lead a part that ganged you, I guess there was bad blood since. But well done, very very tough voker.

When you hunt one of the refuge or interfear on our battles because you want to slay a mage.. you get considered an enemy and threat to our War. You can reason its because you hate mages. Well, you are attacking us and our cause. Do it too many times and you become a threat. It became assumed you'd try to slumber or sing fiend if you were near us fighting. As you role dictates, that is fine. Its the penalty of travelling with a mage. But that does not mean you are not open to counterstrike.

What a crock of ####! I never once attacked you and even considered you a friend after ranking up together and helping you lot against scions and imperials but YOU, yes YOU, come and ####ing fiend me after I had just finished fighting two tribunals so that I could try and get the fetish! Now I am sure at this point you will claim it was all about the elf mage that you wanted to kill but a neutral would not kill a 'friend' just to kill an enemy. That #### I would expect from an evil villager not a neutral. Then add on to fact that the mage fled and a round later you sing another song so not really even targeting the mage at this point. You deserve all you get for #### like that.
I wont say anymore until I delete or age die but that left a real bad taste.

Folks who aren't ragers who are attacked because of rager ideals may or may not get any sympathy. If your fiend hit an Outlander who wasn't a mage and they decide to take it out on you, then you earned it. Granted, for the most part, ragers are only enemies of the mages in the cabal. But, if you think that an Outlander should respect that when they are raiding for the fetish, you are sorely and grossly mistaken and deserved it. Of course, Kastellyn, Ysaloerye and Yean would give you a big thumbs up for attacking the mage.

The thing I was referring about traps = Nizi and elf bard hidden in thick corpse or trees with quicksand and pit in neighbouring rooms with Teldasill standing there visible on eastern trying to get me to fight him. So I enter into a quicksand/sleep/sing up/fiend and at this point of time I had not fiended any of them or fought them ever before at all (except the elf bard, whom I fought with Zaxfil (gnome shifter) and Gunjunz (cloud pole spec) and that was 12 ranks and almost 150 hours ago. Tube socks saved the day and Teldasill chased after him and I killed the fiend and SOMEHOW ran back to the village with the 'super cool' flute prog making life hell. The other attempt I was talking about was Gauraung luring me into the ocean and Nizi waiting with Gel. Also Nizi, bard, Teldasill and arcane coming and raiding the village. That time Teldasill and I were having a duel to death and Nizi and the bard came charging in the moment the tiger got to writhing and proceeded to raid to try to finish me off. That pretty much crosses all the limits. I've not fiended or fought most of these chars because of their ability to fly away/duo/chamo or just because whenever I came across them they were in a group of two or more. I wasn't really complaning, just trying to reason out where the bad blood originated.

Age death? Wow. Good job with, well, everything. I had similar feelings about a svirf invoker; just seems to fit so well with their lore. But, as you may have guessed, I have very little patience
I really want to explain why I, the character, didn't help you that one day with the drow and the orc except I have this crazy, anachronistic idea that RP stuff should stay in the game till the principles are dead. After a similar incident with Telda though I really couldn't even explain myself IC'ly... too bad. Hope you stay around anyway. Krynna was a big reason why I wanted to play a ranger, and more importantly your influence as an extremely competent player is a part of why CF is still going strong. Hope I can satisfy whatever curiosity you might have when you're reading my goodbye note.
See you in the fields.

Ahtieli – You was so damn overpowered having eight levels on me (that time when you’ve slept me at 30th, and then found me in Balator after I’ve teleported, I had like 20 hp left at the end even after using my scrolls of aura and shield). Later on, the things have changed to the opposite. As for this little dance we had in Balator, you should have figured out that I knew EXACTLY what you are trying to achieve, and naturally thought of escape roots in advance. Necromancers playing “sleep” game are not competitive at hero range. You should probably think of some more creative things.
You should save your advices for somebody who needs it. Since "You should probably think of some more creative things." is really stupid thing to say.
I knew exactly how you are planing to escape but I failed to land forget on you, otherwise you would have died there, unless you had key. I was annoyed by your tells after you escaped with telling me how smart you are and stupid I'm and wished I've waited for another imperials to leave you no chances.
Also that cheap kill with opium pipe and humbert after speaking about fight one on one. All these made me dislike you as ooc person.

I am still waiting to see those scrolls, quest items and such. For me couple of potion of teleportation on hero level was enough to escape successful sleep game (especially with resistance to diseases)
But sleeping/ ganging works pretty effectively, yes.

I wasn't talking about gangs. And I was assuming that, once slept, the necro has enough mana and time to apply his whole array of maledicts (except maybe forget). So, weaken/poison/scourge/blind/curse and maybe power word decay.
It then boils down to three questions (for necro opponents in general, not specifically svirf invokers):
1. Can the necro kill you before you have a chance to transport yourself.
2. Assuming you manage to transport yourself, can you cure blindness. If not, you're probably dead. If you manage to cure blindness, do you have something to replenish movement. If not then you're probably still dead.
3. Assuming you manage to transport yourself and have the means to cure blindness, can the necro re-engage quickly enough (and enough times) that you exhaust your ability to keep transporting yourself.
#1 and #3 are where items come into play. Or, at least, where I'd imagine they would.

I proposed you a solo fight OUTSIDE the Palace. I have no doubt that with the help of the whole Council you are competitive. Even gully dwarf thief would be, you know.
You refused to step out of the Palace - I am not fighting you alone, sorry.
As for o-pipes and such, that was just my little revenge for your sleeping games. You didn't like it? Oh well, now you know what your targets feel!
As for that "trap" in Balator. As I said, I knew exactly what you were trying to achieve. Would I have access to coins, I would have some items that would prevent me from being slept. But I didn't. So I used another ways of escape. You didn't like it? Sorry again for not making your life easier.

No, you did not offer fight outside the palace. Nor I was trying to summon you into council room. And help of whole council won't make gully dwarf thief competitive, stop doing stupid comments? Or just go read your own post how overpowered invokers that you can even pwn provost with guards under inners.
Nizidrayt yells 'Want fight meh alone?' You yell 'I don't mind.'
Then I've summoned you into sect room, you used pipe and pwned me with Humbert.
>You refused to step out of the Palace - I am not fighting you >alone, sorry.
####, there is no point to avoid one on one fight with you, untill you got insects . Because we can not kill each other solo, unless you let me sleep you in area with locked room, even then you can escape.
>As for o-pipes and such, that was just my little revenge for >your sleeping games. You didn't like it? Oh well, now you know >what your targets feel!
Where did I say I don't like that trick? I said that I did not like how you called for a one on one fight and then used pipe to pwn me with Humbert help. I'm glad that cheap revenge made you happy but I don't have hard feelings on that matter.
>As for that "trap" in Balator. As I said, I knew exactly what >you were trying to achieve. Once again, I said I did not like all your tells about you being smart and I'm being stupid. I've never thought that you will fight me in Balator without ways to escape. Because I knew you are quite a good player in pk aspect. And I can only applaud the way you escaped though it's not something new for me.

You have great potential, man. The only thing I would probably like to see more is a bit more evil attitude to Sunwardens. Outlanders should have some internal conflict among them. Especially in the good times. They are getting too strong without it.
Being neutral I could not really breed this conflict (but some quarrels between Ixilith and Naboueh), but this is one of the aspects that make Outlanders funny to play. Constructive conflict of views.
Like we are united in the face of danger, but too different to like each other in times of good hunt.

Man, you are cool beyond imagination. If this MUD survives, that will be only thanks to people like you. If some players seem to exist only to make this game less enjoyable, you are certainly the one who is here to make this game worth playing. I do hope Imms are watching you and clapping their hands. You do deserve it. Thanks for all the fun, for knowledge, and for excellent combo/ RP.

Now some char statistics.
Affinities Earth - 10 Ice - 8 Fire - 6 Lightning - 6 Ooze - 6 Air - 4 Water - 0
Your character has the following edges:
Calmed Mind: Serenity infuses your being, and you recover mana more quickly. ***You do need it. Spamming spells is a pain in the butt. Anything that can help you with it is cool*** Nightcaster: Your magic grows stronger in the darkness. ***I can't say I have noticed significant difference, but I guess it helped*** Combat Statistician: You are a combat statistician, keenly analyzing battle. ***Pretty nifty edge. I knew at what % my enemies escaped me Too expensive for its use though. Also, for some reason it is not showing % when you are looking at foe (not fighting him). I think it should be added*** Cabal Edge: ***Censored*** ***To certain extent this edge was overpowered. Made sure I will never get caught in my own quicksands, for example. Bad news - it was completely negating my race-only edge*** Wise Recovery: Your basic knowledge of herbalism and simple medicine can help you to more quickly recover from wounds. ***No idea why I took it. My con was equal to my wisdom, and gear pretty much made sure I have max con all the time. Just for bad days, I guess*** Repulsive: You are less suave than others of your race. ***Flaw. Took it for RP reasons. It is in my role and title*** Combat Elementalist: You can cast your touch spells while fighting. ***Damn expensive for its uses. Took it for convenience only*** Absolute Zero: Your cones of cold can freeze their victims solid. ***The last edge I took. Not working on mobs. Had some uses in mind, but never had a chance to see it in combat*** Earth Ward: Your shield of earth is proof against dispelling. ***Took it specifically for attempts to dispel my greater shield and bash me to the ground. Worked great. 10 hours undispellable greater shield is good thing to have*** Earth Push: The earth pushes those you choose. ***Took it specifically to avoid entwine/curse traps. Very random. I once failed 7(!) earth pushes on Igbah in re-raid situation*** Cloudmage: You create more potent clouds with your magic. ***Took it for pure fun of destroying cities. Worked great*** Piercing Needles: Your icy needles bypass armor with greater ease. ***You do need this edge if you are planning to use needles. Without it they suck against any decently equipped foe*** Glacial Mind: You are one with the snowstorm's glacial mind. ***Not all that great. You need to say in snowstorm for long enough for it to make damage for me to find out you are there. Most people are not that stupid naturally. Also, it is not telling you in which exactly snowstorm the foe is frozen. So mostly useless, to be honest*** Elemental Abjuration: You abjure wounds made by weapons of the elements. ***Took it for pure fun of it. In my best set I was resistant to blunt, poison, diseases, magic (meaning defilement for example), immune to elements, and resistant to all those nasty stone clubs and polearms. Through in inherent stone skin and you are golden*** Earth Power: You cast spells to greater effect while in contact with the earth. ***Very cool edge for leveling, not all that great for PK. For obvious reasons*** Stonebreaker: You break stone with the fierce power of your earth magic. ***I just wanted to have all race specific edges. Not all that great as you use dispel most of the time. And I didn't want to be an arse to other players. If you are Fatfrumos style of player, you will enjoy it though*** Martial Invoker: You inflict more damage with weapons you feel an affinity for. ***Took it specifically to use my cook whip made of fire. Pretty nifty*** Needle Spray: You spray forth many an icy needle to thin the herd. ***Iceneedles against huge groups are not all that great. That edge compensates it. A bit*** Spiked Pits: Your spiked pits painfully surprise those who fall into them. ***Heh, I am just like plainsrunner with dispel! Need I say more?*** Persistent Earthrain: Your reflexive concentration maintains your rains of stone. ***Took it for cases when you did manage to knock me out through fire shield. Earthrain will wake me anyways, boomer!*** Natural Elementalist: You cast your spells in harmony with Nature. ***Must have for Outlander. You don't want to shield huntress and Spirit each and every time you are planning to use pillar or fireball. Also, you won't strike your own beastcalled wolves*** Fast Deshield: You quickly shed your protective shielding. ***Cheap and cool. You won't get caught in between changing your greater shields***
I could take a couple more, but was saving them for one cool edge.

Ok, how to start? I wished to play svirf invoker from the first day I’ve played CF. I have no idea why, to be honest. The whole idea of bearded midget throwing around waves of earth and ice storms somehow seems funny to me. I even rolled it, but naturally invokers are hardly newbie friendly class so I gave up around level 15.
After a long break from CF due to personal reasons (things didn’t work out IRL for me, so good luck to you, Teldie), I finally decided that it is time to try again and rolled Nizi. In accordance to “cabalwar” command there were like 18 Outlanders at the moment, Vindicator with eagle/tiger, and in general things didn’t look all that good for the Tree. So I’ve decided: “What the hell? Let’s help my favourite cabal”. Till the time I’ve finished spamming spells and all the stuff (I joined Outlanders at 40), things have changed a bit. Outlanders had some cool leaders, Vindicator was gone, and in general things looked balanced. After I’ve joined things went really bad for Tribies. The main concern about this char was lack of enemies, to be honest. Sometimes I had to wait for several hours till a single enemy will be online, bleh. In general, from my POV the MUD is approaching a dangerous point in playerbase.
About invokers. They are overpowered. And I mean it. Nizi was the first char who could enter Spire, kick Provost with two lieutenants, chase him to the Executioner, and land the kill. Then he could take Scales, show every Tribunal a vertical smile, and walk down the Easterns to the Tree. While being very powerful, they are also funny to play. When I would want to have really overpowered char with crazy kill count, I will roll arial in Scions. At the same time there are some very illogical things on how their spells are working. I didn’t want to post about them till I am dead for things not to look like I am begging for more power, but here are some examples. You would expect shield of winds to protect you from throwing daggers, but it does not. You would expect shield of earth to deflect at least some crushing blows and pummels the way tough hide does, but it does not. You would expect shield of fire to protect you from attacks that require close hand contact with you (aka tigerclaw) but it does not. Etc. There are many illogical things about invoker spells IMHO. And probably fixing them and playing with balance a little would be nice. But again, it might be far from critical tasks of Imm team. So I am fine.
About ABS When I’ve rolled Nizi, I didn’t know a single ABS set. All I knew were two black rods, and I only knew about them from observing Emperor anti-paladin and Haratzi. I didn’t know where a single amber or sienna rod can be found. Now I know like ten sets and countless wands. So from the point of learning curve, this char was a blast. Mostly thanks to cool people I was playing with. My ABS set was powergamer’s wet dream. It was a complete nightmare before I’ve managed to get to improved invis (spamming vortex with 4 affinity in air and 18 int is A PAIN, trust me), but after I got to improved invis gathering the whole set took about 5 minutes. And I could do it naked without any risks whatsoever. Now funny thing – contrary to popular belief invokers do not need to use ABS for most fights. Yes, you surely do need ABS to fight players like Kostyan or Igbah, villagers, and gangs of 3+. Most of my kills were done without ABS though. 6 shields + inherent stone skin + occasional correct protection was more then enough to take a group of two imperial warriors, for example. Go figure.
About Outlanders It is still my favourite cabal. I honestly don’t understand how people can hate them *shrug* The freedom of choice breeds a lot of funny RP lines and weird chars. Of course, you might not like them all, but come on. That’s what freedom is about. As for Outlander camping (I am getting tired of this accusation). You, people, should took into account the unique location of the cabal. To get to the Tree from the nearest recall point you need to cross two forests, ocean, sea, and the road. And very limited number of people have access to this recall point (you can’t change it as well as far as I know). For most Outlanders you need to cover the whole distance from Galadon. You, critiques, should actually take a timer and evaluate how much time it takes to get to the Tree from Galadon (keep in mind that most of the times you are wanted, and so need to deal with guards on way), then take away like 20% of this time due to unique Outlander powers. How much is it? 3-5 minutes, eh? That time is more then enough for a good warrior or offensive shifter to kill Huntress twice. So yeah, Outlanders WILL camp in Prosimy. No matter if you like it or not. Sorry. Also, keep in mind that for most Outlanders getting word of recall devices is a complicated process. No coins, remember? In general, what is really cool about being Outlander leader is that at last you don’t have to camp to get to the Tree fast. I won’t get into details here, but thanks to whoever implemented it
In general, if you think something is wrong with Outlanders, post it in this thread. I am ready to discuss it.
Goodbyes
When you age-die, you tend to meet so many people, that it is hard to name them all in goodbye thread. So if you are not here, just remind me of you and I will try to provide you with constructive feedback. Also, I appreciate constructive feedback as well. Be my guest.
Outlanders Jhoqu – You was cool. Thanks for induction and all the fun.
Vreksoek – It was fun travelling with you. Too bad we didn’t have too many chances to interact. From what I saw you was cool.
Teldie – I said most of the things I wanted to say in your Goodbyes. Thanks once more.
Seyrie – I know people have a lot of bad things to say about you. And I can understand them. But they don’t play with you side by side. And, let’s be honest, if enemies don’t like you, you are probably doing something right as cabal member. So it evens out. I liked you, liked to travel with you, liked to share knowledge, and liked to have you by my side as an ally. It is pretty pleasant to have an ally who knows what she is doing. Keep kicking the arses.
Naboueh – Damn, you are a beast. Bedouins suck? Come on, guys, you obviously never fought this one. He is just damn nasty. I liked your RP, liked your spirit, and was very disappointed your time is so limited. I wished to travel with you more.
Macha – To be honest, I am a bit boggled with you. Don’t get me wrong, you are cool, and deserving, and all the stuff. I adore your goodie RP, and really liked to have you by my side. But sometimes I had a feeling of complete newbishness, and sometimes it looked like you are very experienced. I honestly failed to figure out which one was that. I hope you enjoyed our company as well.
Karjiin – In a sense, same as Macha. You are obviously new with bards, but talented PKiller. Having you by my side was a pleasure. I wish you good luck with figuring out the class and achieving whatever you are trying to achieve. I hoped you liked some of the tricks I showed you.
Ixilith (?) – You have a great potential. But for the god’s sake, man, a bit less anger. Angry gnomes are not natural (almost like orcs Wisdom is all about staying calm and all-knowing. Less hate, more wisdom!
Sniggie – Again, great potential. I liked your bravery and spirit. And again, I like when people try some weird combos (like me, you, or Karjiin).
Tribunals
Inglor – You was cool, but I didn’t like you cause of that cheap death you’ve caused to me. I will post it. But otherwise then that, you was pretty good Tribunal. Tough and well RPed.
Fendril – Cool Provost. Yes, for all that time I am playing Outlanders, I saw tougher Provosts, more experienced Provosts, braver Provosts, more inventive Provosts etc. But you have a good balance between all those things, excellent RP, and, which is the most important, you have heart. And I like it in players. Good luck with your Laws.
Bhaer – Tough as nails but arrogant as hell. I still think walruses raiding Cabals are stupid as hell and should be fixed.
Trovaine – You’ve really lost a lot in my eyes after helping Satebos in killing me. I mean COME ON. You are goodie SHAMAN (!), and you are helping Lich? I will post the log of this death…
Peth – Full-saccing cabal member right in front of the half of his cabal is probably not the best thing to make friends. I am glad the revenge was swift. General attitude of yours was ####ty. I do hope it is RP though, not the player behind char.
Soidel – You was interesting to observe. Too bad I will never had a chance to get rid of this unholy you are building.
Empire
Kostyan – Interesting char. I did like you in some aspects, and disliked in others. I am glad I was able to get my revenge on you. And frags do smell
Kornuel – In a sense you was cool. I didn’t like many choices you’ve made in the course of your game, but, as I said, this is what freedom is about. I will post my only death to you. Just as an example of how stupidly overpowered bard’s edges are. It is actually funny how we went from your totally pwning me in the beginning to myself totally pwning you at the end. The wonders of learning curve, heh.
Ijerga – It is funny how you avoided me completely as soon as I got leaderized. I don’t blame you though. Before that we have some funny fights.
Grusomething (new Shadow lord) – Hahaha. That demotion was damn funny. Sorry.
Imperial warriors – To some extent, I felt sorry for you. That was some ugly pwnage.
Scions
Igbah – Mad respect. Well played and RPed. Our last fight was a work of art to certain extent.
Kharnial – Cool char, huge balls. I hope you’ve enjoyed our fights and thanks for showing me some tricks.
Waris – I guess I will skip my comments on you.
Dorzaan – You can be a powerhouse. Just use your head
Dulzuth – Not that easy in hero range, eh? Let’s be honest, I disliked a ton what you were doing on lower ranges, and was very glad I could teach you a couple of lessons later on. You are damn lucky with sleep though. Damn lucky.
Luvren – Not a lot of chances to fight or interact.
Fort
Humbert – For a long time I couldn’t figure out if you are cool or just lucky. My final verdict – you are cool. And I adore your attitude. Keep kicking arses.
Istidien – Thanks for all the help. I hope you liked to travel with me as much as I liked to travel with you.
Not too many chances to interact with other Marans, I am afraid. So it is actually funny when people are saying I was holding hands with Fort. Those are the only Marans I’ve travelled with.
Battle
Jhengar – Well played. If not counting Scouts, you was the only village member I preferred not to fight with. You obviously played an invoker and know their weak points. Keep rolling.
Inger – You’ve boggled me a bit. I’ve never had a chance to finish you, and it seems you were avoiding me as well.
New commander – I didn’t like you. But I guess it was mutual, so I am fine with it.
Djabree – Interesting char. What else can I say?
Nexus
Now this cabal boggles me a bit. In accordance to player count there are like 30 of them, but I’ve never seen them doing anything productive… Which leads me to belief this cabal is a complete failure. IMHO. Jiahe was semi-cool. Others I don’t have much to say about. I am glad I’ve finished Jalenkan at last.
Random guys
Satebos – A lot of good things to say, a lot of bad things to say. So I will just skip it. In general, well-played lich.
Zikaroz (?) – Damn, you are running like a champ. Damn good survival skills. I am glad we had this duel at the end and you were my last kill. Thanks for all the fun. It is actually refreshing to have a warrior who can fight you.
Grishnak – I know how hard it is to play a hero orc and keep heart. You’ve deserved mad respect from me. Thanks for not being an arse, and I hoped I showed you how much I respect you.
Imms
I didn’t have too much of Imm love. My fault completely. I should write my role before rolling this char. And put more effort in figuring out what Twist is about. But I’ve failed miserably.
Whoever gave me title, edge, and Imm love after 350+ hours. Thanks a ton. Really appreciated.
Imp. Thanks for giving me a chance to lead the cabal. Listening to the lecture of what being Outlander leader is about for the third time was funny though. For some reason I thought you’ve figured out who I was Guess I was wrong. Hope to see you more online. The cabal needs it.
I have no idea if this char deserved his place on totem. But I did my best.
Thanks for the great game.
What else? I will post some logs on QHCF for us to laugh together (my deaths specifically). Certain item should be removed from the game. Those involved know what I am talking about. I am taking a little break from CF, and will come back when I have a desire to do so. My life is going weird right now, and I am trying to figure out in what direction I should move on. My next char (if there is one) will be Tribunal. I already have RP line in mind and want to see how things look like from another side of the fence.
I will try to purchase my PBF, but last time I tried (with Halistanis) my card was not accepted. People were buying my previous PBFs, may be someone wishes to do me that favour again?
Constructive criticism is most welcome, as usual.
Thank you all for all the fun. I love you all.
Andriy, aka Krynna, aka Halistanis, aka Kubilak, aka Nizidrayt.

I just don't think I agree with that crap about Outlander being in a unique location and difficult to get to. Your opponents have an even more difficult time getting -away- from there, what with insects, trep, and windwalk all going against them. Tack on chameleon campers (90% of the cabal) and Outlander has a huge advantage in its cabal location, not to mention those abilities are easily transferable to camp/molest at other cabal locations.
Outlander isn't really that tough to get to for an actual Outlander character. Maybe if you compare it to Trib, sure, but, yeesh...
So with all of that, it just made me curious how you could possibly make the argument you made. It was rather lame. You're a really good player, too, which boggled me even more that your perspective is so distorted.

But you should know how they work, aye? I mean you know they DO fail half of the time no matter how high your % is. And failure means that instead of running directly to the cabal, you've just lost a couple of minutes running in the opposite direction.
For leaders - sure. They are great. That is why there is a line in my goodbyes mentioning how cool they are for leaders. May be even cooler then you think, if you never was Outlander leader
The point being that for most cabals you can actually choose a place of recall. And mostly has to run through civilised areas. E.g. Balator for Empire, Hamsah for Scions, Vorallian for Fort etc. With Outlander you are pretty much stuck in the location, and EACH point is far-far away from the Tree. No matter how fast you can run, if your PoR is in the Grove, for example, you need either to cross easterns (dealing with guards) or take even long route through Dwarven forest, Dry riverbed, Desert of Araile, Tahril Mountains, and then ocean, roads south of Balator, and Prosimy. Windwalk helps, sure, but in no way it is decreasing the distance.
The argument that your enemies have it harder is not applicable here. Because he is there ALREADY.
That is, combined with the nature of Outlander powers, makes half of the cabal camp under the Tree. Nothing wrong with playerbase. People are just maximising their utility function, if you wish to talk in economic terms
If you wish to discuss how hard it is to get out of Prosimy with insects this is completely another discussion. Prosimy is an excellent place to defend, I will agree here. But I was talking about GETTING TO PROSIMY when you need to defend. That is all.
P.S. I found the way to get to Prosimy real fast as leader, by the way. Faster then most air forms. But, unfortunately, it works only for Outlander leaders. Am I real Outlander, eh?

I never noticed a high or half failure rate. And I haven't been an outlander leader. But out of my two, I found I could get to the cabal pretty dang fast from anywhere central to Galadon.
I don't have as much time or experience with Outties as you have, though.

If I was Kharnial trying to re-raid with three Outlanders in range, I would probably think they are getting to the Tree too damn fast
As I was looking at situation from the other side, for me it is not fast enough as in most cases the Huntress was already convulsing when I was under the Tree.
So go figure.

"Bhaer – Tough as nails but arrogant as hell. I still think walruses raiding Cabals are stupid as hell and should be fixed."
The only time I can think that I was really arrogant (or at least what I considered arrogant) was when you killed me in the refuge. That was a very, very long day which included the following (I apologize if I don't get all the events correct):
- For the first time in my cf career, I found out how to get to the Silent Tower. I didn't know how to get out. I died to Seyr and Telda there. They skinned the corpse, so if I wanted my things I had to go back, regardless of whether I knew a way out or not.
- So, I go back, I die. Half of my things are taken from the corpse and dropped in a way that would end up making it very difficult to recover. This also caused my death.
- So, I go back again, get my things, die to get out (because yes, I'm that smooth and I had no clue how to get out. Again, first time ever.)
- I go to raid the refuge, solo, with wands, which I didn't use all that often either. After the 6th time of retreating, healing insects/thorn/spores, and what must have been nearly an hour of game time, you login just as I get the fetish. Was blind, spored, insected, thornhearted and protections had fallen. I die.
- So I come back to get a particular item, which all but requires me to unghost at the spirit. And I leave.
(Here I can't recall if this was a different time or not).
- So I go to raid and fight you a bit. Khurga (think that's the name, scion) comes as well to fight you, as does a lowbie looter. I'm out of form, Khurga decides to kill me, I die, you come and kill him, lowbie loots.
- I remember yelling something after you saying you were going to sort my equipment or something. I'd been on for some ungodly amount of time and was a might bit ticked off after the days events.
If I came across as arrogant elsewhere, I suppose I can see it, though it wasn't really my intention. I tried to give a non-nonsense attitude. Perfectly willing to give folks a chance, not looking to crazy loot anyone, just interested in keeping the cities quiet. Was pretty even-keeled overall except for that day.
I liked Niz, but oy is it a pain to deal with outlanders as a tribbie.

May be the whole mentioning was here because of that comment of your (when I got killed with cheap trick by Zuktharg/ Kostyan combo with passive involvement of Waris) and got something from you like "I wish I could see it". Got me a bit annoyed there
Anyways, you was the toughest shifter I had to fight. Nice job.

Didn't really take it as an insult, I was just a bit confused as to how I came across arrogant. I was pretty consistently joking around with folks, so I figured there was something I was doing that was misunderstood, or at least my intentions weren't coming across.

Seyriannia gathers a lot of disdain from those who would title her an enemy. But I hope you, like others previously, who are side by side with her.. find the warmth and kindness she has to share. While people are quick to judge Sey as determental to the game. I believe i've helped a great many more players as best I can. I was honored to play a character next to you. You shared a lot with me. I'm glad I could entertain you for the duration of your character. Though i'm sad you are gone now .

As I said, if enemies hate you (in reasonable fashion that is) you are probably doing something right as a char. The key point here is not to cause OOC hate.
I don't mind gathering group against the enemy who, as you know, you have no chances to finish alone. But other people obviously do. Who is right here? I have no idea. It is all about the playing styles. But again, I witnessed myself how you said "I won't strike him, there are too many of us here". The enemy could not see it, being slept, hehe.
Perspective is everything.
Thanks for the set. It is a pity we never had a chance to visit ST together. But I guess my playing style is more about gathering stuff from enemies' corpses. So I am fine
Keep rocking. I hope you will enjoy this char till age-death as much as I enjoyed Nizi and your company.

First of all...I hate piercing needles. It really tends to feel like you're getting the damage bonus from getting through armor, but I suppose I could be wrong. Also, I would have swore shield of fire tends to be like shield of ooze...where it HELPS against some of those skills, but doesn't protect. Shield of fire is probably the most versatile one in my opinion, but anyways....
Definately knew you liked/respected Grishnak, especially after a few chats. Seeing that you were Kubilak, it makes sense now. You generally expect your beatings as an orc, so was never any hard feelings, and I definately appreciated.
Oh, and I hate dispel magic + quicksand. Cya!

Of course, the damage is at least doubled if you get through the armor. That is why that edge is a must to have.
As for fireshield, it does not help against spinebreaker. In our last fight, when you and Kharnial came for me, I fled specifically to change it to shield of ooze. Worked fine
I guess I will always have a soft spot for orcs. I know how hard they have it, and discouraging them from playing even more is not in my "To Do" list. Also, I have mad respect to orcs who behave like you.
One request to you. If you please, for the god's sake, take Barusomething orc (level 45) and show him around a bit. At the very least where he can buy teleport and word. After killing him a couple of times I've realised he is complete newb and did my best to help him. But it is kinda hard without breaking my RP, you know. I would really appreciate someone to teach him a bit.

I don't get a mention? I loved fighting you alone. When we were young, we had good fights. Then I leave for sometime and you become Harbringer. Still it was fun till you got that DAMN pipe and Karjiin attacked to your hip. Everytime I got slept to that pipe, I knew I was gonna die. I only died to you couple of time and it was the only solo kills, it was the time I was retrieving.
12 hour sleep on the pipe is INSANE. It needs to be shortened and a BAD side effects has to be added to it. Everytime you used the pipe, Karjiin attacked you and woke you up and I got shafted.
But it was fun. Try Tribunal next, you will see the limitations. GLWYN

Time is my greatest enemy and sadly it gets the better of me more often than not. I really wished I could have been about a bit more but it is the busiest time of year for me at work and lots of new changes at work in terms of policy etc have left me with huge mountains of work. I can count on one hand the amount of times I have been in a cabal where I have just instantly liked a character in the cabal and Nizi was definately that. I liked your solidity in combat, your knowledge of areas and your willingness to se the funny side in the cabal. I often get annoyed at other characters when they make idle threats and make out the are the best thing since sliced bread (no Gnomes...I mean names in particular). Nizi on the other hand was the class act of someone who is assured in ability and doesn't mouth off about it. I loved your willingness to raid and get into fights but my one little annoyance was the 3 kills you stole with iceneedles. When I had the enemy down to convulsing and you jumped in (it was a cabal defense) and did the iceneedles thing. But that said, in my country, we have an expression 'It's no loss, which a friend gets!' and Naboueh definately saw you as that. A true Saloumi!
Naboueh's player.

Your character was extremely impressive. Even without hell gear/st gear, I felt like I was fighting an overequipped overbuffed invoker. And contrary to what a lot of people say about ice needle spam (which still needs to be looked at imho), your use of other skills - vortex, quicksand, etc. was very well placed and timely.
And btw, I only got like 2 or 3 items from Satebos after I traded that skin to him. Everything else, not sure what happened - it's not like I was re-equipped from your corpse.
Also, that one time you killed me at the Refuge with douchebag looting - I was playing at work, and I kept trying to do shapeshift mantis, which apparently isn't the right command. How come shapeshift mantis doesn't work?? I was literally spamming !!!!!!!
Props to a great character.

Cannot count how many times you brought me back from the brink against the likes of Igbah when I was sure I was done for. I enjoyed the exploration both ways. You showing me new things and letting me figure it out and being able to show you a couple of things perhaps you had not seen before. I always take only from my own interactions and try to ignore what others do or say to sway in game and your actions made you worth writing of and remembering.
Thank you and luck with your next.

It is 2AM and I am definitely too tired to write goodbyes. I will write them tomorrow in the morning.
Had a blast.

I had like a dozen of evil plans how to kill you. But kinda suspected I will never have a chance to perform them.
You was fun to watch. Keep rolling.

Good job man.. you were amazing. I said everything I needed to in my goodbyes though.
Your english has gotten SO much better btw. It was really hard to discern through the awesome speech pattern but you slipped up a few times one night and I finally realized it was you. Great character.

I just couldn't hold it not to mention that this felar ranger RP story was very similar to Krynna's one I doubt anyone would read my awfully written role so careful to remember it.
Thanks for kind words.
