#67069, "(Deleted) [NEXUS] Malrokael SilverLute..."

The official will come up in a day or so, but wanted to give out some thanks before I forgot. I hadn't played a bard to hero since TROUPE days, and wanted to get a feel for the class again. Was a fun ride. Deleting mostly due to some time constraints (seems the story of my life) upcoming, and not wanting to be a fair-weather player. I really had good interactions with about everyone in the game. Sometimes it's easier if you have a good enemy to "hate," but no huge drama ever seemed to come about.

Rayihn: Thanks for the RP and tattoo. Role concept was based on amour courtois, and I hope it came across. There's always a fine line, and never wanted to cross it.

Nexus: Definitely a much harder cabal to truly play than I conceptualized. Not sure if the swings are more sporadic due to timeframes and playerbase size, but seemed like at times you could sneeze and make a difference, and other times it seemed like an exercise in futility.

Grecken/Andaahyn/Praeto/Firata/Nitch: My Nexus cronies. Had a lot of fun with each one of you, and a number of you have some great in-game knowledge and RP. Keep up the great work. Lots of new folks coming up through the ranks, so you'll be busy.

Scion/Battle/Empire/Outlander/Fortress: Thanks to everyone I got to interact with, was fun during the good times and bad.

Reniste: Good to see a visible High Herald, and thanks for always pushing some booze my way. Sorry for not making it for your event -- as I said, time constraints are the bane of my existance.

Anyways, thanks again. It was fun and see you all (hopefully) in another creation in the next few months.

-- Mal

Most of all i'm going to miss your notes. You name had a k in it that I would always copy so I could paste it(my k key became broken towards the end of your life span thus whenever I had to use k.. I have to paste it. Makes life difficult, especially in the heat of things)

It was fun just going out and doing stuff. Come back sometime.

Bleh. There goes a fourth of my back-up. Good thing I can write my own notes now. I didn't pick up much on your RP, but you probably didn't get much on mine. Grecken hasn't turned out to bethe RP machine I wanted, but I'm stuck with what I've made so far. We were fairly busy at the times you and I travelled. Bards and Druids are mean combinations. Druids are best in man vs man and bards are best in group vs group. That desert drop we did against the imperials and scions was hilarious. If you had sang the reverberating blast instead of fire and ice we might've killed all three But it was still fun. I got to check that off my list of druid crap to do before Grecken dies.

By the by, there's nothing wrong with being a "fair weather player". There are four or five people in the Nexus who only show up about twice a week, which is fine by me.

Showing up sporadically is completely different from being "fair weather".

One has to do with frequency, the other to do with difficulty. A fair weather player may play frequently or infrequently, but they play only when their side has the upper hand and have an easy time of it. They won't play when they side is on the ropes and they might lose shinies.

So I applaud anyone who tries to avoid being a fair weather player.

Was fun playing with you, you were always interesting to play with and make fun of for daydreaming about your love interest. Whenever you would have a brain fart and die, or it could have been lag or someone getting your attention OOC I'd tell you to stop daydreaming about your lady. Well played charachter and I'll miss you on the Island, good luck with your next. And I have to agree trying to play a truly balanced nexun is a pain, the main problem with nexus is almost anyone outside of Nexus who isnt interacting with you will hate you OOC and IC because they dont know which you are at the moment, ally or enemy. They quick answer to this is, Nexuns are not supposed to lie about the balance, they arent supposed to use trickery like imperials to get kills, so asking a nexun from time to time how the balance is will give people a quick warning as to whether you are after them or not.

I just looked at this and my Yevander like Lack of punctuation made this look bad. It should be "when someone is getting your attention ooc, I would tell you to stop daydreaming about your lady."

I thought you will help me to 51. Now I can't go "CB Mal, where you at?" Who will be my tank & my healer now?

Thank you for all the experience. Goodluck

Thanks for the interaction with Janos, I had a blast roleplaying with you after I killed you and I think you handled it all very accordingly. You have a great knack for writing descriptive notes by the way, that tryptich you wrote was fantastic.

Good luck on your next.

That's a shame, you seemed like one of the more interesting characters about. Was real curious once I got into your range how tough an invoker/bard bonded pair would be too. Seems like we have way too many mages now. I also wanted to ask you about your role and have some talks about the religion with you as well, guess I should have been more aggressive with that. Well good luck with everything hope you find some time to come back soon.
