As for why...well, I dislike having Falcon as my only land form, since 90% of my fighting was on land. Raiding, Defending, and stuff like that. Plus gathering wands on land was retarded with Falcon....

I think pissing off my character so much that he was willing to stay and die just so he could prove he could stun you once had to be one of your biggest victories! That whole 'defending the warlock tower' thing was something I had to do for a few rp reasons, though it killed me to have to actually die for once. Something I'd avoided quite well throughout Hycteran's life is dying, I rarely even got scratched badly whenever anyone attacked me. That was the first fight I actually got badly hurt in! No one else can touch me and I was surprised how little I dodged those walrus tusks. I didn't parry or spin a single one away, and looking back at the logs I dodged a total of 3 tusk attacks in all those fights. Still, well played. You definetly reached your goal of winning the seas, congratz! Good luck with the next one.

Hycteran.

You do a good job. I wanted to piss you off, and after you kept coming back I sacrificed alot of your crummy gear and left the rest under the waves where, as an arial, you couldnt get it. Weird thing is, after I do ##### like that, I feel bad, (in real life). Im too used to playing dawnies and warlocks...Im currently ranking up my new char. Hope to see you again.

Sucks to see. I knew you didn't like having just the falcon with which to fight on land. Also that the hummingbird made your falcon's life hell and a half.

*sigh* I actually trusted and liked you, two uncommon things for Maz to do. I got the feeling you fealt the same way when you helped me to get (try to get) a wand, and told me where one you found was. Still haven't tried it out yet, though.

Your deletion is a loss to me, my character, the scions, and team water. I'll always remember being on West Aryth with you, fighting an alternating 3-5 warlocks (Moko sticking around with his transplendant) and Rieger showing up. So I don't like Rieger, and he died. So I swim back, Verienel words. Danical shows up, so I get him gushing, he words. Then I swim back, get Moko gushing, he words. That hour (?) of ruckus will stay with me for a long time to come. Thanks for being there and making it fun.

I always felt that the forms you had were good ones, but you always fought me with minimal protection and I always wondered about that. Now I know. A fair number of the barriers that I know of, about five or so sources, are all maxed out. Don't really know if you can get any of them with the falcon form, either. I suppose it's a trade off. Even without protections, I'm sure you must have been quite a terror for non-parry warriors or even other classes.

I thought that little thing you did with Somna on the North Road at one time was interesting, after that when you were about I was almost always prepared for you flying to me. Helped keep me on my toes. One of the memorable things about Vomalice is that while you did send me a couple of taunting tells, they were particularly nasty or vulgar. One of the few people who can keep the game in mind.

It was fun for a while. This was my first ‘evil’ character and I enjoyed all the times I had in Thera. Playing a subservient drow to the high mages of Scion was rewarding. My last 10 charactors or so have been Warlocks and Dawn’s with a few leader charactors thrown in there. Scion is awesome, the powers are much better than people were whining about. Never met any of the immortal leaders, except for one time when the archmage told a bunch of us that we needed to raid more instead of hunting and ranking. I definitely accomplished what I wanted as a terror of the seas, and had a lot of fun, butchering on the waves. My reason for deleting and making a new character is that I am tired of having barely no land fighting ability. (I am making a new charactor.) My falcon was good for cheap kills, the usual one trick, (if you get them hurt, finish them, if not, fly off and try later when they arent expecting.) I like cabal raiding and defending, but found that it was too hard with just an air form. Yes, yes, air forms can fight on land, but agaisnt a skilled rager or invoker, unless you are fully shielded all the time, it is not even a close fight. As far as getting protections, the ones I know about I found dificult and time consuming getting them solo. I usually used only aura or shield in my fights. The changes to shapeshifters made it really dificult to beat down warriors. Boneshatter, Impale, and the ways it affects your shifting was brutal. One thing though, for all you who kept calling me coward when I flew away from a loosing situation. Sheesh, I am a oportunistic little bastard drow. I am not going to die when I can just wait until you are occupied then strike again. I played with 0 honor. hehe

Some Goodbyes,

Warlocks. Well done to you all. Never fought good conjurers much before, and dropping them was almost impossible as their archons heal like a machine. Verienel, Tinuthiel, Llendieuas, Nilomasan, Nithrawyn, Lardovian, Jaythis, Lasella, Moko, all gave me good fights, some more than others.

Ragers. Never got to fight a lot of you or interact much. Ooqogar you are a beast, a force to reckon with. Got you once on water, (but I had a shark with me.) Cheap kill when you were fighting Brindelbik. You owned me otherwise and I always fled boneshattered and impaled. Diraric, is another skilled rager that comes to mind. Cant really recall any others right now, but if any of you are reading this, refresh my memory.

Entropy. Acallsho, acallsho, Acallsho….Damn hairy hummingbird. While I was ranking, it was a daily event for you to flyto me, gibberish me, and disperse me. I was so annoyed with your pestering. Then when I finally heroed I said, ‘Now its payback’ I prepped myself, grabbed a nightwalker, and took to the skies to kill you. The next thing I know, Im fighting this tiny hummingbird, which I couldn’t hit, while getting bombed with chromatic fire. Couldn’t flee, couldn’t fight, so from then on, I just avoided the skies when you were about. Nice job anyhow…

Dawn. My plans to make the ‘war’ last longer didn’t come to play, but you guys are doing a good job. Kenosh, Lalgar, Hycteran, all are perfect examples of how Dawnites should be played.

Scion. Never been in a cabal where you cant trust the people beside you, and I loved it. I find myself always being too nice, and learnt a lot by watching Krivohan and Dullameh. I was constantly ranking people, getting equipment, and generally not behaving like a sadistic drow should. I find it hard to get away from the usual way I play charactors. I don’t loot gear, and help my cabal mates a lot. Any of you light walkers out there who never have tried Scion, try it. Dullameh is fun to watch, as he tears through his range. Krivohan, quiet, mysterious, damn knowledgable player. These two don’t put up with much crap either. My respects to you both. Others of note, Mazomor, it was fun. Had some of my best times when we were in the seas, fighting off 4 or 5 warlocks, while at the same time swimming between rager raiding parties, and sylvan retrieval parties, who were all hitting the tower around the same time. Daiken, I remember when you applied to Scion. You spoke to me while I was resting from a raid. I told you to send a note to Scion and I would talk to you in a while. Your note stated ‘Because’ or something like that. I thought to myself, what a smartass. Heh. I liked your character and you sure helped out a lot with your healing prowness. I dislike constantly asking for sancts because I know it gets on the nerve of healers but you handled it well. Keep it up. Dwoggurd, you are a fine warrior. Never got to travel enough with you though. Yekirat, Eleke, Somna, Hralled, Ganaloon, were all fine examples of skilled players and fighters. Eleke, just wanted to tell you that you were wrong in thinking whatever you did. When the situation arose, I was actually in the process of getting you your gear or finding out what I could replace. I had helped you rank before that, given you equipment, you had also given me stuff, and I was kinda put off that you started threatening me and acting like an ass. Probably your role, so no complaints here, well done anyhow.

Maran. Solamnus, you are a well played paladin. I enjoyed our duels. Thelleneor, well done. Since rank 38 I died twice to Pks. Both to you. I thought I could outlast the entwine and didn’t revert and recall, but it never came to be. You parry well.. @grin@ Arharah was another maran paladin who had some hurt in his swing.

The drow infant gurgled for breath as her tiny eyes bulged from
her head. She flailed weakly at the hands which held her beneath
the surface of the tiny bathing tub. Her face was deep crimson
and a look of pained fear was etched on her face. A trickle
of bubbles erupted from her mouth as she tried to expel the water
from her bursting lungs.

Vomalice grinned down at the dead infant and released his grip.
He stood on his tiptoes at the side of the tub and continued to
watch his sister's corpse as it bobbed beneath the surface. The
nursery was quiet and an unnatural darkness seemed to center on
the room. Finally after a few moments of revelry, Vomalice
turned to access his dark actions.

Dozens of infants and drow toddlers lay in rigid positions of death
throughout the room. Drowning the children one by one had taken him
most of the night and he was in need of rest.

Vomalice removed his sleeping uniform and pulled a small stool over to
the side of the tub. He shivered in his nakedness and climbed
into the cool water, moving his sister's corpse to one side.
OVERVIEW
********
Volmalice is a sadistic drow who was exhiled from the underdark
due to his obsessions with drowning. His facination of water
and death and led him to conduct countless 'experiments' on
living creatures. Vomalice has a goal to become a great predator
beneath the seas and has focused his magical training to
accomplish this task. His other magical focus is air forms which
he feels will allow him to avoid the dangers of land thus
reaching his watery haven in safety.

Vomalice's facination with drowning has led him to begin
exploration of the ocean depths in Thera. Seeking to uncover the
secrets of the dark abyss' Vomalice met with Krivohan, High

Chancellor of the Scion Chasm. Krivohan explained to him the
goals and desires of bringing forth the Eternal Night, and the plane of shadows.
Vomalice is devoted to his new Scion brethren and though
relatively aloof, behaves in the manner of an apprentice
to the Scion mages. He is not comfortable on land or inside
the desert Chasm, and avoids it as much as possible.
On land and in the skies, Vomalice's discomfort causes him great
anxiety and he is prone to panic attacks.

Vomalice has several goals for his role in Thera. The dark forces
of evil slumber and Vomalice beleives the black depths hold
many demons. He searches for abominations of the seas as he seeks
to bring the plane of shadows to Thera. A secondary goal
is to garner respect from the mages of the land, and to be known as
A terror of the Deep. The Scions will own the seas if Vomalice
meets his goals.

Well, now I can go back to exploring underwater in the mornings *giggle*. We never interacted lest is was raiding, but I enjoyed having you about. If the situation looked grim, you never threw your life away, which is fine in my book. My only regrets is I never saw you and the hummingbird go at it. Any logs, regardless how humilating?

Kenosh will be glad you're gone. As a player, I will miss the battles we had. It was fun to have someone like Vomalice around because you always kept things interesting. I never knew when you'd show up with that nightwalker. I kept off the oceans when you were around after hearing what that walrus did to the other Dawnites. I really wished you would have pursued the war thing a bit more as it had the makings for some fun times. Overall good job and I'm sure we'll meet again.

You do a good job, Kenosh. One of the things I disliked about my past servants ive played was the lack of excitement at times. I wanted to bring a bit of fun to you all, and had planned on making some interesting war plans. I just got tired of the bird thing...flyto..fight...flee...come back..blah blah...only thing I can do in a fight is peck...*grin*

One thing though, if you are persistant, an air form can kill whoever they want, over time...just wait for your oportunity. (Ok ok, few exceptions....)

It was always fun having you around. Your willingness to help the cabal was just dandy. I was disappointed to find out you had chosen air, namely because air and water won't pan out too well, but you kept to the whole role thing. It was always good to have Vomalice around, whether it was in ranking, scouting, being a vulture, or just noseying around the waters.

And yes, I think Scion powers are great for mages and priests. Warriors get the shaft though (I would love to see either shove or imperial off/def given around hero, personally). Have fun on the next character.

Funny thing is, I never got to fight you at all compared to the other servants. I am limited to my air and water fighting and since you wield polearms, i avoided directly hitting you..hehe

I loved the walrus fight at the warlock tower. I thought to myself, Lalgar is perfect Apostle. 'Com her ye blasted drow. I came here ta talk and yer startin yer mischief." hehe..Welldone. AFter I made it out I thought back and realized I should have directed on you since I was entwined. Fun stuff. Wish you could have seen the chaotic fights on the western aryth, there were sometimes 6 or 7 people all scattered...and id be swimming to each of them..randomly...

Oh well. I was actually expecting this sooner of later. That was a horrible combo to have, but you handled it well. It wasn't the fact that walrus and falcon are bad forms, I just knew that you'd have a real hard time finding a barrier wand. Offhand there is only one that I think you might have been able to get. The barrier wands really had nothing to do with my deletion. I just like to fight and raid and take part more....Sitting in the water is fine, but when only one rager holds the sceptre and I cant even make an attempt to retrieve, that's rediculous.

I figure I can hero a new, improved charactor, and get back into the fray with a vengenance. Hope you are still in the chasm.

Even though your forms made you nearly useless for raiding/defending
you certainly were usefull for the Chasm.
Look at oceans and seas nowadays, they filled with worhtless
fishes . I liked Vomalice, you will be missed.

Its more safe to gate you now, instead of having to deal with both you and the nasty walrus on Aryth ocean

Vomalice was a terrific character in that the drow had a solid identity attached to it: terror of the Aryth ocean. You knew she would own you there, so might as well not bother. That being said, me and a paladin managed to make the drow word away (without a fight) on aryth ocean, probably because of a bad mana situation, or bad preps?

Anyway, Sharukin hated the drow, and I loved the character. Good luck with your next one, and stay evil

Man, I hated fighting you when we were on the seas...but you were definitely smarter than most...I enjoyed our battles and your character was also very well played...I hope we can be on the sameside next time...

Sorry to see you go - a good enemy is as important as a good friend. I knew for the most part that you didn't stand much of a chance against me on land and I found out quickly that I didn't stand much of a chance against you in the water. Good luck with the next and I hope you do find a way to truely play evil.

Daiken was fairly neutral towards Vomalice purely because of your lack of useful (to him) forms but the player found you quite cool.
-btw you only ever asked for Sanctuary whilst we had the sceptre.
