Several times. Instead you chose to try and lie and be evasive. You have only yourself to blame for any punishment that was handed down. I sincerely hope that you do not conduct yourself in the same way in RL, although my suspicion is you may. Yeah, this is just a game, but these negative personality traits bleed through every character you have had here. I am hoping you are just young and immature, and as such can learn that while cheating and lying can get you ahead in the short term, long term it will catch up with you.

I had a question along those lines actually. My brother and I play this game off and on and we are both really new (bad?) at it. If two fairly new people who knew each other OOC grouped to explore Thera and for survivability but didn't actively PK would that be a problem?

Haha nothing like that. Different houses and even different cities. Just wasn't sure home the Imms feel on the subject.

There are a few families that do play from the same house and they do tell us in advance. Some of them have stepped on toes now and then, but, for the most part, they have gotten really good about keeping things in character.

For more information regarding the subject all you have to do is a "Help Perma" to know if what you are doing is cool or not.

A very close friend of mine IRL used to play CF. When he was in town there were a number of times we both played from my home network. We just sent up a pray, and the IMMs were always cool with it. There were some times we grouped, and sometimes we killed each other, but we never got our balls busted.

I actually killed a RL friend once and didn't even know it was his character until a month later, cause we were both at college and hadn't talked in a while.

That's all there really is to it. Know each other OOC, that's fine, just make sure your chars are acting EXACTLY as they would if you had no idea who was playing the other guy. That means if you're two chaotic evil thieves, you maybe aren't going to just hand each other shinies. Fair trades? Sure.

If you're both Fortress chars, giving each other nice gear would come naturally. Only grouping with each other, ever, and being attached at the hip? Unnatural. Sure we see players with similar playing times all the time, and quite frequently they give the *appearance* of only grouping with each other (especially to enemy chars). But we can see a little more than other folks can, and we'll usually be able to tell if we've got a "permagroup" or just a good pairing that travels together frequently.
