Loved your roleplay, enjoyed the character so much. From the time we first met to the seemingly short times towards the end. Was always a blast to get as much interaction there was possible. I didn't actually realize you had been around that long, but I know for sometime people always seem to wonder when the hell are you going to die... Anyways, great character and I hope to see you back in some other form similar to that of the The Huntress that you were. Jhesar

Like I mentioned in the main post, you and Krynna were the ones Nreisshe felt to be her "successors", though she did favor Krynna more with the, you know, being eeeeevil thing and all. And yes, my times did change not so long ago (damn school, with days from 8 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon, and a few reports and assignments and whatever on top), so we didn't run into each other much in the last weeks... which was a shame, there were things I would've wanted to say to you too face-to-face, but, the most important things were mentioned before.
I actually didn't wonder so much about when I would die, I knew it'd happen around 90-100... I've experience about a lot of races aging, and felar have surprising longevity. And Amaranthe (or Lyr, or both) gave me an appropriate notice a while before my death, so I knew to prepare.
We had good times together, now keep up the good work. Even if Nreisshe didn't end up as a guiding spirit for you guys, you wouldn't want to disappoint her, would you?

To be 100% honest, I was so impressed with your char on the first place, that I decided to give rangers a shot. And right when I was considering role and description, changes to rangers occured, so I had even more reasons to play one
What can I say really? Damn impressive. After I had a chance to communicate and RP with you, you are definately in my top 3 RPer lists for this MUD. I really enjoyed your RP line. And this last several days were just like watching movie, in which I was kinda participating.
PK? Damn, I've learned a ton from you. And still learning. So many tricks, so much patience. May be one day I will learn to move with such grace around the world, leaving camo just for seconds while crossing the whole Thera. May be.
Your PK attitude was a bit too bloody as for my taste, but again, I am not that good with evil RP.
Well done. The only problem for me personally that after you Nightreaver is a bit too large shoes to fit may be, but I wil do my best, I promise.

Myself, I didn't quite believe in rangers until I played one, too. Great if I served as inspiration, though with the revamp they've been plentiful enough (I rememberthat one time there were 6 of us on at once, ow).
I know I don't have the most complex and intricate roles, I just have some basic idea when I start and then flesh them out as I go. I was quite satisfied how that worked this time, too!
As for PK... my last serious char went 3-5 or something, I wanted something different. When I started, I wasn't too great with rangery tricks and paths either; eventually I got those down in my spine good enough that I could get from the Tree to Octagonal tower in about 2 minutes, stepping out only for about 20 rooms tops. Contrary to some beliefs, I didn't spend all my time sitting in one spot, but most of the time roamed from place to place. And yes, I certainly was murderous like Aarn's comment said: if you weren't felar, ranger, wood-elf or druid, you were generally seen as meat. If you *were* one of above, I was fairly indifferent or even amiable. Like I said, I wanted something different from foofy RP-focused stuff.
And I'm sure you'll do great, I recommended you for the spot too. You have your own fun style which I liked watching, keep it up, my Mini-Me!
Thanks for the good times and for giving Nrei someone to feel motherly about.

A few other things of note:
Nreisshe never died in a solo pk attempt on her life.
Over 40 of Nreisshe's kills came from attacking groups of 3 or more by herself.
I have personally watched her attack a group of 5 before, landing 3 kills and making the other 2 flee. (What you did to those ranking groups in the mines was just plain nasty.)

Hmm... oh, right. That one solo pk loss (to Lusius, in Drow City) didn't count as a pk loss as I wielded a -15 hp weapon while I was at 10 hp, killing myself. He would've deserved that win, but...
And I honestly can't remember attacking 5 by myself (with others, while defending, maybe), I remember one or two 4s though. If you have any names I could check.
Still, interesting numbers.

There was one time when the Fort folks were ranking in the Sitran Mines. You had five out of six in range. You killed three, one of them got away while hurt and the fifth one just left without even trying to fight. As far as names go, I don't log, so I have no idea.
Also, some of those group kills were during raids, not just hunting.

I think Ghyrean, tribbie cloud, and Furoll trib/uninductedkiller and Ustil, were the only ones we fought with.
I remember using a low tier bird form that ran fairly fast to walk out of Modan once, and getting in your snare.. man that sucked. You were great at sneaking in the city while I was standing around and just opening up a can before I even knew what hit me.
Ustil.. was just very lucky the 2-3 times you had me snared. I attribute my escapes to you and I think Jhesar to both bearcharging me and missing.. maybe gank code, but real close. Ustil didn't really ever get a chance to mix it up with you though, only times were when I wasn't ready, and obviously not sticking around. Shame though, Ustil did well, and was always wanded, I think that hyena would have given you a real run for you money.

Oooohhh, yeah, I totally forgot about those times I got you in a snare, I just kept thinking that time we tried to raid/retrieve from tribs and you Scions showed up to throw a wrench in both our and their gears. That was a pretty hasty exchange of blows, and since I was getting down to 60% hps with my lone charge of aura dissolving and tanking a nightwalker, some guards and an angry shifter in city didn't seem too good an idea at the time.
And those times you were in a snare... meh, felar bearcharge is fairly reliable, but not powerful... and not completely reliable. So, against someone as defensive as a hyena it's not gonna be enough most likely, even if there were two of us.
And... a wanded hyena? Just ask Alidove how much fun those were to fight. No one really hits anyone, except my serpentstrikes do mauls and your bites do DISMEMBERS, it's easy to see who needs to bail first.

Heh, I interacted with you roughly once with a previous character after I ruined your snare, but never got to exchange words as Nreisshe, which was a pity since you seemed cool. I think you deleted shortly after I rolled, and I felt mildly like a copy cat when I looked at your role on the PBF... but, well, I didn't see it *before* I rolled so I plead ignorance. Besides, the feeling passed as the character lived on and got more fleshed out by the day, so...
And yes, felar lend themselves well to "barbaric" roles, and those work great for evil Outlander types. Go 'Reavers!

"...All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time... to die." -- Roy Batty, Blade Runner
Wow, that was a long run. Nreisshe was rolled sometime in early June, 2005, so I lasted about
14-15 months. 750+ hours doesn't seem such a long time when spread over that period, though it's
still more than 1 hour a day. And now I'm supposed to remember things about it all? Geez.
To put down something about the character:
I rolled Nreisshe mostly for three purposes: I hadn't played a ranger since 1999 or so, with
exotic weapon moves they might be a bit more exciting than in the past, and I wanted some
carefree murdering in the low-mid ranges, with slight reservation of possibly trying to join
Outlander. That's how the characters I enjoy the most tend to start, so no big surprise there.
I found an old role from years I had written which had been barely noticed which I thought was
neat, so I rewrote and altered it some to fit the vague concept I had of a linguistically
challenged and illiterate cold-blooded hunter with a strong belief that she'd become stronger by
eating her foes. I chose sphere Chaos, mostly because I couldn't think of anything better at the
moment - I'd say the sphere choice bar should be raised to level 20, I never have a really good
grasp on my character until then. Not that it wasn't fitting somewhat, but I could've thought of
more "precise" ones later on. Anyway, moving on. I started getting in the groove in the
mid-teens, grabbed a few levels under my belt, and in the early twenties I figured what the
hell, I'll see if I can get inducted. And behold, I was, without even having to write a note
(thanks, Kazren)!
I did try to experiment with exotics too, but in the long run the moves turned out to be mostly
useless for a ranger, however I also started to get used to how rangers worked and despite my
initial suspicions that it'd be too boring, I found myself enjoying being sneaky and underhanded.
I never rushed with the leveling up, preferring to do it alone or with a
felar/outlander/ranger/druid group since Nreisshe was more or less a supremacist, but I didn't
really feel like level-sitting either so it took me, I think, 300ish hours to hero or so. It was
fun ride up to that level, too.
Also to my surprise, rangers were a lot better at hero ranges than I had thought: all my previous
chars had laughed at or just destroyed about any ranger, in and out of wilderness, snares or no
snares. Patience really was the greatest prep ever, I barely knew or bothered with haste and dam
reduction other than for the simplest to get (but not so often in), and still could put out some
damage if I timed it right. Of course, if you have to fight shamans with near-acute vision or
paladins with 2 melee virtues or abs-loaded necros and vokers, you need a LOT of patience and a
bit of luck, but... you can't win 'em all.
Yes, I could have fought on less favorable terms. Yes, I could have come to town, prepless,
spamming serpentstrike on enlarged, hasted bashspec warriors. I just don't get much satisfaction
from "dying while trying", "barely surviving while trying" or even "what kind of a moron loses to
a ranger in a city, oh well", I much prefer seeing a good stalking/strategizing session pay off
with a brutal kill, after which I fade into the night like the goddamn Batman. Each to their own,
right?
Okay, enough rambling about about that, I have a few thoughts about the ranger revamp too. Be
warned, this may come off a bit critical, but in a constructive spirit!
My combo, which was pretty obvious to anyone who saw me fighting, was mountaineer/beastmaster,
both quite fitting for the role. First, I was like "god damn, this looks crazy", then I realized
"wow, this isn't that great after all", and eventually it got to "pretty cool". A good example
would be predator's stance, at first it was super-deadly, then seemed to be nerfed into near
uselessness, and now I could swear it's been toned back up to "just about right" - not crazy, but
not pointless either. The tame bonus is still completely useless though, the best I could ever
tame was a freaking mountain goat (about level 10, I guess) and even then it wouldn't assist me
in combat or anything. That's just cruel, I tell you. Also, bear kinship looks cool on paper, but
the bears... meh, even though they were fixed upwards, they still seem pretty weak. Serpent
kinship is another one that isn't very practical, even if in theory it has cool potential.
They're too easy to save against it seems, so you just get modest damage and 2 rounds of lag.
Wolf kinship and cloud of wasps kick much ass, though, the latter maybe a little too much still.
Take away the paralysis effect, leave the rest, and then it'd be more fair.
Mountaineers? I don't agree at all that they should lose backrake and scrolls, not that I ever
practiced the scrolls skill and would've lost it due to beastmaster anyway, but it just seems
silly. Why would feeling home at a rugged mountaineous terrain mean inability to read magic
scrolls? Even if the obvious answer is "game balance", I just can't see it. Also, backrake.
Mountain lions, anyone? Snow leopards? There's plenty of wild beasts in the mountains you could
emulate for that. Again, no doubt it's about game balance, but mountaineers really didn't seem so
powerful that they'd warrant that. Sure footing was spiffy, but didn't come into play too often
(and without echo, it doesn't "really" help since you can't change your tactics according to
seeing your enemy fail to lag you properly). Boreal wind... very niche use, never figured out
what its "hidden effects" were and couldn't use it in a pk fight, though it was somewhat helpful
for ranking purposes. Bearcharge bonus? Barely noticeable, at least for a felar. Not that it was
bad, by any means: a highly reliable lagging move that lags like trip isn't anything to scoff at.
(On a side note, I didn't realize how much bearcharge could actually lag even that much until I
was in the high 40s already, so I didn't use it much before that.) Endure cold... not worth
losing protection heat cold over, as I still would take MASSACRES or so from 'voker snow storms.
Didn't try with much other cold attacks. Auto-bearcharge would've been nicer if it would've gone
off in pks more than once, damn it! When all you can put out is trip-lag, and your enemy's only
intention is to run away... they sure could come handy. The ranger weapon bonus was nice and just
right.
Overall I'm just mildly positive to the combo, it has some good points, bad points and pointless
points, but as it didn't ruin my tried and tested tactics all was well. If I had to choose a
combo now, knowing these things... I'd probably go with forester/beastmaster. Still, you Imms
deserve a big "good job" for the revamp, even if every detail didn't make me swoon in ecstacy.
Now, onto the actual farewell part! Of course my memory is pretty fuzzy about the earlier parts
of Nreisshe's life, so I'm afraid I can't remember too many people from those times.
Immortals Nreisshe was scared of most of you, and I didn't really run into you guys too much either. A few
times I pushed my luck by attacking in Shokai's shrine, a few times I heard Muuloc chuckling at
my wacky antics, a few echoes here and there... all was appreciated though. A big thanks goes
especially to Kasty and his role contests, I couldn't believe I actually got a mention (though it
was the third try with this char, and who knows how many tries with others). The reward was so
perfectly fitting, but alas, I never got around to that particular elf-meal. No one pissed me off
enough. Oh, and thanks for the roomdesc (I'm not sure if I saw/remember it, could someone post it?) to
Grurk, finding that egg was pure luck. Annnnd another big thanks goes to Lyristeon. I guess I wasn't too boring? I never really thought
about "following" you, but then it kinda fit into my role as I grew up, so when you made your
offer... I didn't need to mull over it too much. You tricked me on our deal about the certain
steak, though! All I got was a headache. And one more: Amaranthe, awesome send-off. Much appreciated.
For the Outlander imms as a whole: I was surprised that you would even choose me as the
Nightreaver, as I purposefully stayed true to what Nreisshe started out as even after I joined: a
lone hunter with few intentions for a full-out war. Even if what you said when you leadered me
suggested it was temporary... I suppose I did a fine enough job as I wasn't dropped even when
there were some pretty tough evil guys around at times. I don't particularly love being a leader,
but Nightreaver is nice compared to most; you might not get huge overpowered bonuses (I think I
noticed... two little details), but there's not a lot of duties either, and lots of room for
playing in your own style. I wouldn't have minded getting 'detect order' like every other leader,
though...
Mortals Okay, this part will be pretty short, because 1) I can't remember a whole lot of people I
probably should, and 2) I wasn't ever that social, so I didn't really know most of my cabalmates.
So, I'll just put down a few names which stand out in my head. If you want, you can refresh my
memory by saying something yourself.
Outlanders: Aeria - as a wood-elf druid outlander, you were pretty high on Nreisshe's scale, and you also
kicked ass, so she respected you a great deal. One of the roughly three people Nreisshe would've
called a "friend", if she would've said things like that. Mhardat - even if you were a bit annoying sometimes and foiled my attacks on Marans a few times,
you still had an effect on Nreisshe's role, and were one of the reasons why she considered giants
to be somewhat above the other "prey" races. The piles of rangers - it was good having you guys around, especially pre-revamp since rangers
tended to be rare. The piles of foofy elves and babbling gnomes - it was good to have someone to look down upon, heh
heh. Krynna and Jhesar - bunching you two up since from Nreisshe's POV, you two were the remaining two
"friends" and practically the children she never had: felar rangers who enjoyed a bit of
ultra-violence and sneakery. Especially Krynna was fun to hang around with, with us having so
much in common, I even had a reason to open up and chat sometimes. Good times.
Tribunals: Caroolth - dauntless, certainly, suicidial, perhaps a little. Unlike some other people, you never
whined or talked pointless ####, so I had respect for you. Nreisshe... nah, not so much, she just
thought you were tired of life. Nysrogh - fairly tough, as could be expected of a lich. Best I could do was to drive you off at
the inner, or scare you off while you were otherwise occupied. Kiamae - turned out a bit stronger than I initially thought. Lucury - thanks for obliging the wish of a dying old woman. You were a good sport! I never
managed to get you in my clever traps, though... I had mapped out your movements quite a bit but
when I tried to stalk those spots, you didn't show up.
Empire: Frerren (sp) - the crazy rhyming felar from long ago, for some reason I remember you. Some nice
scuffles. Kharghurln - classy. I liked you better after you lost your emperor powers. Grunlath - practically impossible for me to fight alone, but we did get lucky with Aeria that one
time. Otherwise I just had to avoid you, it's not so much the faerie fire but the 2 guys with
bash nearby. Other Emperors and Shadow Lords - I sure wish outlander leaders got "improved chameleon" just to
counteract that stuff, bleh!
Scions: Vens - I tried to be patient with Scions in general, only whacking their 'walkers or so, but your
aggression made me decide that you all can just die. Easier said than done, of course, but...
it's the thought that counts. Cabdru, duh - I think I saw you once in my pk range, and in the same area. I decided to spare
your life... as I was busy thinking "what the hell could I do if I had to actually face this guy,
other than run away". I didn't have too many good plans. Crulvane - I had clever traps waiting for you too, but alas, you never showed up in the spots
when I was there. Of course I've no doubt you would've just gotten away, but hey, I had to try.
Fort: Nreisshe probably despised you the most, whereas her feelings for Tribs and Empire were more akin
to loathing. To her you were spineless, spiritually weak, fools who waste their energy on lost
causes. Gryshilniar - I liked you. Nreisshe just felt sorry for you, since you were felar, wasting good
claws on protecting the Light. Your analysis about her after the talk we had was spot on! Chokiare - You seemed pretty cool, too, but as with other felar who are forties... Nreisshe felt
kind of obliged to stab you a little just to prove being stronger. Kavan - damn if I didn't spend a LOT of time trailing you around, only to have you abruptly word
or somesuch (and you couldn't have seen me, since I hadn't stepped out for many areas, nor could
you have me marked). All I wanted was one little steak for a certain someone (see above). Mezrar - like Caroolth... dauntless and somewhat suicidial. Unlike Caroolth... you made "break my
principles", as in kill a ranger. You were the first one to insist on attacking me, all the other
ones agreed to my "hunt and let hunt" idea. After you, Nreisshe abandoned that idea and started
attacking other Fort rangers at will, too. Of course that didn't last very long. All the elf healers - you were a real thorn in my side, giving out sancs and heals like candy and
making it difficult to mangle people. Every time I managed to kill one of you, there was much
rejoicing.
Ragers: I left you guys pretty much alone mostly because fighting a rager alone, with as light preps as I
had was an exercise in futility, except for some attacks on dwarves/duergars and some nasty
opportunistic sneak attacks. Rektath - blast you and your daggers and phenomenal healing. Merrwyn - I have no idea why you started talking with me, but since you weren't particularly
objectionable I started talking back.
Heralds: Sorry, you all were just the same prey for Nreisshe as everyone. Didn't know any personally.
Talked some with that one felar guy who eventually became a maran, forget what was his name.
Uncaballeds: All the gnome shifters I murdered - well, someone has to do it.
I guess that's about it. It turned out far longer than I meant to, congratulations if you made it
this far. One last thing: I have no credit card, getting one is too much effort (around where I
live) for one $5 payment, and I have no other manner I could pay for my PBF. If someone could
pick it up, I'd be grateful. So grateful, that I'd have a drink in your honor?

Thanks for grabbing the pbf! I don't think I can toast with anything except water right now, though.
And yeah, that is the difference between virtueless paladins and ones with virtues. I tended to crush the virtue-less ones in the low to mid ranks (and in the high ranks, assuming they got there without melee virtues) fairly easily, but then the ones with Temperance and Fortitude and whatnot? Ugh, nearly impossible to dent, and with only prot vs. good far too painful, and the darn evil sense virtue made it hard to try to catch them unprepared. Had you had stuff like that, I'm sure the outcome would've been different.
Anyway, thanks for the fights and all that.

Cool char. Never spoke once to you with any of my chars though. I remember playing some high 20's char and was ranking at arial city. I couldnt harm you but my two warriors could. You were low 30's at the time...and you used a staff to blind the group. Then you entered the city and kicked my two groupmates ass. I made a note...and I quote..'SOB, keep eye on'. SUre enough you didnt disapoint.
I think you attacked me a few times with Crulvane. I usually land, prep and am gone, and dont really stick around too long anywhere anyone could get a stab at me. WHen I started conversing with Eshval a bit, I noted a few snares in the area. AFter a few ambushes and noted snares, I made sure I would always enter woods in mongoose/displacer form or at least have 1000 hp left of health.
You werent easy to hunt as I dont think I was ever playing easy kill combos when I saw you around. You dont leave camo often, so it would be a long wait if I was to make you a priority, and since your kills were 99% of the time on my enemies too...I liked ya!!
Take care.

I still vaguely remember that... I had lucked upon a powerful blindness staff which was actually low-level enough for me to use, it was a fun toy.
I also remember having a few run-ins with Alidove, too, and I was surprised I actually managed to catch you once when you were out of form in Sitran, resting in a bad spot. That was the only time I ever saw you without a/b/s, if you had them up it was mostly like trying to chip at a stone wall with a toothpick. Crulvane was about the same, except with mongoose I couldn't even hit the stone wall, damn it. You play a mean shifter.
And yeah, sneakiness was always a priority for me... except a few times I tried to lure you. I guess you smelled a rat or were otherwise occupied, those times. Good job, all in all.

eh, quit out early for my shower and to write this before heading to the tournament tonight. I started talking to you because you were a nightreaver, and somethign she was unfamiliar with *player, and not myself* so it started, "Hello Nightreaver Nreisshe" but god damnit I think sometimes it was jhesar or krynna with cat greets and stuff I still have no idea who I am talking to half the time. well is one of two now. eheh. Also my char doesnt like to be alone, but hates being around others, so deals with it best being alone and talking all the time. You were target to talk to that one day, moreso because out of everyone, there was me, you, and about five empirials? eheheh. boy did balance of power shift with skiltores deletion. ####. Anyway, I really liked your dark humor, even if my char is blonde and always tells you "I am sorry, I am afraid I dont understand" etc. Anyway man, I really liked talking to you, and yeah it was very fitting ending, was pretty neat. Good luck your next man.

Heh, it was kinda crazy for that while with the Empire horde in power... I think I saw 3 waves like that in my lifetime. During those times, I found, it was best to just resort to guerilla tactics... oh wait, that's what I always did!
I, as a player, didn't mind talking with people, though Nreisshe was always as short-worded with most people... had you been a felar assassin instead, I'm sure I would've had more things to say, heh.
Anyway, good luck, if things go like they're seeming to, you might have a mage cabal at your hands soon or something. ;P

You never got detect order? Wow, that was just an oversight then. Sorry.
It's funny, a lot of Outlander leaders, particularly Nightreavers say "I'm surprised I was picked as a leader."
Look at it this way - if we ever decided not to pick "lone hunter" types for leadership, there'd almost never be a Nightreaver. A lone savage hunter is as valid as any a role for an Outlander leader, especially on the darkside.
But you are right that when I made you Nightreaver, the indication was that it'd probably be temporary, and I actually took a bit of criticism for choosing you at all. Mostly it was due to your sporatic login times during the period this happened, but the activity picked up. To the naysayers I say "If she doesn't work out, the Ancients have absolutely no reservations about saying.. 'So-and-so is stronger/better than Nreisshe.' and switching." Survival of the fittest and all that. Within a few weeks, even the critics were hard-pressed to say there was anyone "fitter" than Nreisshe for the job.
Great character, lots of fun, and good luck with your next.

Yeah, I think back then (was it last December?) I was slightly bogged down with school and work, as well as having a side character at the time... after you picked me, though, I figured I'd try my best as long as it lasted, and well, it lasted long then.
And I'm glad I didn't disappoint then, though I feel sorry for the applicants who had to try to figure out my mangled speech and get my attention without notes.
Oh, and once more, thank you for the great send-off, I read the rest of the echoes. Good stuff!

I had at least 3 different Heroes in Outlander during your lifetime and maybe 4, all of them good or neutral and probably at least one of the floofy elves you mentioned. I have a lot of respect for anyone who can manage to age die a leader. I've never even managed to con-die one.
I liked the way you'd show up to help raid if you knew I was headed in without a word and leave again with not much more than a 'Mrrr'. A good way to deal with the dichotomy of alignments in Outlander raids.
So, nice job.

Quite honestly, I could've gone on for another 100 hours or so, yet, this character had a remarkable level of persistent fun. Usually I get bored around 300 and delete. And I at least tried to help around with raids, though most of the time I wasn't all that useful, with the whole "why must I tank like a paraplegic" and loss of my best abilities. And the whole appearing out of nowhere and then just leaving when things are done without saying much was fun, I felt like some kind of a mysterious super-anti-hero.
Outlander was a pretty fun cabal (this was my first one), so maybe we'll meet in those ranks again...

Your first Outlander? Really good work then. By the way, one of those PC's of mine was Bolen and dealing with the whole Sunwarden/Nightreaver dichotomy is always kind of fun.
I don't know if this was your first ranger, but you played pk's like I usually tend to with rangers, you were just a whole crapload more effective at it. Then again, I usually have to deal with wood-elf hps and pk ranges and a vulnerability that can't be covered, puts a damper on some things.
Still, much respect.

...that said with good intentions, of course. I never really ran into you a lot, especially when compared with your other ranger buddies. And if you were stalking me, then I must have never noticed you around, because even though I did see you quite often on who, I never really ended up in the same area or room as you. That last fight was nasty, though. I didn't expect to win, but I thought I'd at least get you to gushing or something. And then those ***DEMOLISHES*** pop up, and I was just sitting back and laughing. That's probably what I get for forgetting to put up trance before heading in...nothing else to say here, didn't interact much with you, but good job nevertheless.

Yeah, I wasn't stalking you so closely as most of the time you were hidden or on duty, but I was stalking places where I had seen you move a lot... and as it was 90% of the time, you never showed up in those places when I was around. And even I wasn't so patient that I'd stare at an empty area for too long.
And martial trance would've definitely helped, all I had up there was +dam preps so if you had lasted long enough to break me, it could've actually turned the fight around... I wouldn't tank too fabulously with 13 dex in a civilized room. Still, thanks for the supposedly last fight (though I still had time to find another brawl before I died).

Well done. Sorry I missed it, I have been watching you like a hawk for a long time, and especially hard the last week or so waiting for this to happen. Had a family event tonnight and poof...it happens. I had wriiten some echoes for you for all of the imms to have just in case I wasn't around. Luckily for me, Amaranthe was around when it happened and added her flair to them and they came out great.
You were the character to finally get me to sit down and add the names to the totem. They should be put in the game soon.
You played the Nightreaver the way a Nightreaver is supposed to be played. It is a hard position to get and if any sign of weakness is shown, a new one will be chosen. We have had solid Nightreavers and haven't had to do that. It just seems that each Nightreaver knows how to induct because they are those lone hunters.
Funny that you should mention Kazren inducting you, because that was my first mortal hero in a couple of years. I too wasn't looking for or expecting to be made Nightreaver, but the one who inducted me deleted and there was literally no one else around and Amaranthe chose me as well. You were one of the reasons I deleted because the evil Outlanders at that time were just getting so strong. Shortly after, hurricanes hit my part of the country and I had to pull a disappearing act again. Amaranthe made the choice of you becoming Nightreaver while I was MIA and by the time I was back full time, you had things going pretty good.
I read a lot of the negative things about you, such as never taking any risks, only to watch you kill a group of 3 or more. Then watch you raid by yourself while other Outlanders are out and about doing their own thing. There isn't one thing I can point to that makes me think, "If only she did things this way".
You never asked a thing from me. And that's why I offered things to you. That's how my religion works. You play each moment like it's your last and I will do everything I can to make your stay here more fun. Very few people can handle my religion. You were the first to age die.
All around, one of the most memorable characters I have watched in the past few years.

Great timing, huh? At least the day of my death (in game calendar) was fitting, with the day of deception and month of great evil and whatnot. Heh heh.
And it's a small world, with you being Kazren. I think I kept many of the specific things you said in my induction talk as some of the most important ones I'd tend to talk about with my own applicants... who will maybe now pass those things on. And maybe they won't demand notes either, literacy is for sissies!
As Lyristeon, I think you dropped in on me for the first time when I was... I think... level 26 or something close to that, while I stalked some storm giants and elves in Arkham. I never got to entertain you at that moment since they refused to get wounded enough for me to attack them in city, but I suppose I provided enough fun later on. Those occasional little gifts were fun and inspiring, like the trib-bone tail ring and short talks and such... not to mention when you showed up when I was offering those steaks at the special place and asked if I wanted your tattoo. She wouldn't turn that one down, a piece of Ancient power to make her an even stronger hunter.
Like I said in another post... I wouldn't have minded going on another 100 hours, still, I really enjoyed this run. In part it's thanks to you; even if I play for my own entertainment it also pleases me if I know there's at least some people who like hanging around with/watching my character.
Thanks for the good times, and also for the echoes, it really was a Happy End for Nreisshe... far better than what she would've imagined and a perfect closure.
P.S. mind showing what the Totem looks like, I don't think I'll be getting in the Outlander HQ for a while here?

Man, you were scary. I never felt comfortable about going into the wilds with you around (and even sometimes with you not around - cause I just wasn't sure). I knew I'd get most of my stuff back, but never the Unholy - too many slave souls to be freed, and I totally respect that. You were tough and really solid at RP; I'm amazed you didn't use more preps, but I suppose you didn't really need to. That one time in Loch Terradian, I knew something bad was going to happen when my group sprung your deadfall, but for some stupid reason I pressed on anyway. Last time I made a mistake like that!
Great, great job for playing a ranger like I always imagined them being played. You were awesome! Good luck with the next.

Yeah, I generally didn't bother too much with stuff that wasn't adamantite/coins/unholy weapons, some exceptions applying to weapons, rare preps and particularly nasty items (I lost count how many prayer bead necklaces I confiscated ).
You too were pretty damn tough; that one time you got me slept and beat me up I was 15 hps away from death. It was a really miraculous rescue: I teleported, eventually got attacked by a randomly spawning mob letting me know my location, sought a safe spot... and some midbie ranger who had been watching the fight offered to help me and found me when I was 15 hps away from death, with poison and plague (blindness being at 0 ticks meaning I would've JUST died before getting a chance to pick herbs). I wonder how many charges I would've been worth, but losing a part of her soul was terrifying enough a concept for Nreisshe that I actually asked for help on CB and accepted the ranger's offer too.
That time in Loch Terradian... you actually walked through the first snare, we had two in a row, but that one worked. I also had to try to do something about your unholy leader weapon, so I tried to just drop it in some distant spot with a prayer for the Ancients, but it was quickly whisked back to you with a "Nice plan, but not this time." from an Imm, heheh. When we talked some, I was pleasantly surprised you weren't the typical uppity empire leader, which contributed to your classy image.
Great job, and keep watching for the bushes still, there's yet a few shadows there.

Caroolth was one of the best tribs I met, really. Sometimes I wish I could build up the kind of suicidial courage, but it's just "not me", heh. You beat me up somewhat bad on those times in Arkham and on Kiadana, though in the second case you had sanc I think? Dam reduction makes a whole world of difference against someone whose biggest strength is pure damage. The Arkham one... ugh, I was trying to finish you off after some battle near the Tree, and ended up running into Gishka who promptly bashed me. That one could've gone really ugly from my side, but I got lucky.
But yeah, well played, and thanks.
