#48260, "[BATTLE] Gorrnar Hacken the Legend of the Battlefields is DELETED."

Wow! Holy hells, what can I say. I picked up playing carrionfields sometime in January when I was at a stage where I wanted to find a good mud game. The experince was amazing. This is my first hero and my first battlerager/caballed char and it was quite the ride.I really think cf is a good place to be at, it is way way better than the last mud I was hooked to and I think I'm gonnna keep playing. The char has so much to offer in terms of learning. There is defn something different about cf and though I can't pinpoint it I love it. I rolled up Gorrnar cause I tried playing a few lowbie warriors but always got beat up cause I did not know how to prep. So i decide to give the village a shot, said thing is that even though now I know a lot more about fighting than I used to, I still don't know many preps. I deleted because I had only four more deaths to go and the last few deaths I had gotten full looted and I was tired of regearing with the same routine. Also things are slow for battle. Most of their enemies never fight alone or unless its a win win situation. There was a slump for me over the past few hours and I was feeling upset that my legacy was bugged. Please can an IMM look up Fist of the Titan ? I got disarmed by a thief when I was using a polearm and axes. An assassin disarmed me with axes and today a bard disarmed my polearm. I used to get disarmed around three of five times and strip almost never failed on me. I think the legacy at the moment is a wasted choice.

By 200 hours of this char I pretty much knew the basic lay of the lands and by the time I deleted there were certain things and place I could go to with my eyes closed. My thanks to all the people who were patient with me, I would like some feed back about how I did. I really tried my best all the time to keep parity.I made this char as a follower of Ordasen though I never once expected to make it big with him. I think the rites are a worthwhile experience and I'm so tempted to play a battlerager again. Frankly there was one drawback of the battle cabal. There was no time/room for exploration if you played during peak hours. Always raids/retrievals/enemeies/hunting and so on.

I have a lot to say but I'll jump to the good byes.

IMMS:

Kastellyn - Thanks for the extra con and the last name. I was majorly bummed that I couldn't make it for the second rites on time. I couldn't figure out the time difference and reach 45 mins late.

Ordasen - Dam scary, you have this aura of 'don't mess with me unless you know what you are doing'.

BATTLE -

Lerimos - One of the toughest and most well played villager I've met but not so much so a commander. I did not like the policy decisions, however I loved it when you called me a veteran. Sorry for bailing, you keep leading on and kicking ass.

Ysalorye - Crazy! Just plain crazy! I remember you telling me that soon you'll be gone from the vilage and I pointed at the sky and said not if... I sometimes like to think that you took advice. Great job. If you ever IMM and get a religion, I bet I'll be one of your first followers.

Burrgyn - You were too cute to be a beast. You are a beast minus the intensity.

Chirrpiku - Wow, wanna go here? wanna go there? wanna raid? Keep trucking man, you'r picking up great. You seemed a bit new to the cabal too, I hope we both learnt some good things from each other.

Bjic/Friarr/Delakan - Not much interaction.

Jiso - Keep the news coming. I'm glad I gave you my recommendation. You were like a birds eye view of Thera.

Yuvralin - You remind me of Wakazula. Good char.

Kharthak - Good work. Its hard to be friendly with evils as a goodie, i tried best to keep my distance yet be company.

ENEMIES -

Hyzin - sorry for all the kills, I did what I had to do. I think you rp real well. But trying to talk me out of attacking you was not such a good idea (specially not while sitting at the pit)

Zerael - Vat for did you baleete? Good char, I was dam pleased with myself when I kiled you, I'm sure you were a lil shocked too.

Vens - Good char. Annoying but good. I wish you'd stop going ooc in char as well on these forums. All the best. There is a huge scion uprising that I foresee.

Erisen - I don't know what made you attack me that once on eastern but ever since it was a bash fest when you were about. Thanks for all the good fights.

Borthok - Hang in there, we had some good fights too.

FRIENDS-

Lumsvud - Was fun, you know what I mean.

Kavan - Good work with the leadership. Sorry for all the fights and thanks for all the help.

Aeria - Out little joke exchange was hilarious!

Well, I'm tired of typing. I'll reply to posts. I'd love your feed back and criticism. Thanks a lot to everyone who made those 365 hours worthwhile. I'll defn roll up another char this week and be back in the fields, so see you all there.

If any active chars want to send me their feed back my email adress is masterofverse@yahoo.com

Shocked? I was baffled, astounded. At some point I kind of picked up that you were a little new and so I underestimated you and all of your damage output.

Even today I'm glad the devil got off a rot on you, though it didn't matter much I suppose. Bit of pride regained.

Haf eine goot time nov unt be back vif us later ja?

Is there a reason you can't pick it up? I understand PayPal can be a pain for some people, but otherwise this is the Battlefield version of "spares?" We price these things super-low for a reason!

Saw your log on "that other place" Mine was better, 5 hits to your 6. HAR!

<1295hp 489m 961mv 24350 waxing outdoor civilized standing 2 PM> Gulloth has arrived.
You hit Gulloth over the head with a long elvish mace.

An air elemental has arrived.
A transplendant archon has arrived.

He is already dazed from a blow to the skull.

<1295hp 489m 961mv 24350 waxing outdoor civilized standing 2 PM> You stop using a long elvish mace.
You wield a flail of Pestilence.
A flail of Pestilence feels like a part of you!

You snake out a flail of Pestilence around Gulloth and pull him along with you!
Gulloth yells 'Help! Ysaloerye is dragging me away!'
Along the Eastern Road

Your wrath *** devastates *** Gulloth!
You deliver a blow of deadly force!

An air elemental has arrived.
You yell 'Help! I'm being attacked by an air elemental!'
You dodge an air elemental's blast.
An air elemental's blast EVISCERATES you!
A transplendant archon has arrived.
A transplendant archon sings praises to the light, blessing Gulloth.
Gulloth is surrounded by a white aura.
An air elemental's blast misses you.
Gulloth's acidic bite decimates you!
Gulloth parries your wrath.

I did it to gully a number of times actually but landed both pincer hits and one melee to kill him. He must have never geared for hp.

This is my first hero and my first battlerager/caballed char and it was quite the ride.

I picked up the newbie vibe on occasion, but it was usually eclipsed by your skill as a warrior. I thought you were an experienced player that just wasn't completely into the CF RP (and I'm not saying your RP was bad, just spotty from what I saw). I got that wrong! For a first Hero and first Cabal, you can be pretty damn proud of how you did.

I rolled up Gorrnar cause I tried playing a few lowbie warriors but always got beat up cause I did not know how to prep. So i decide to give the village a shot, said thing is that even though now I know a lot more about fighting than I used to, I still don't know many preps.

You generally won't learn how/where to prep by playing a Villager. You'll kill people who have preps, and can see what they are and what they do (via lore), but that won't help you find out where they come from.

I deleted because I had only four more deaths to go and the last few deaths I had gotten full looted and I was tired of regearing with the same routine.

For future reference: Villagers who con-die or age-die are generally viewed with much, much greater reverence than those who delete. Not saying you should have gone on a suicidal bent, but sticking around in the fray for another week or so and going out to con loss probably would have gotten you a few global echoes upon your final demise.

By 200 hours of this char I pretty much knew the basic lay of the lands and by the time I deleted there were certain things and place I could go to with my eyes closed.

Again, huge kudos to you for learning so much with this character! That knowledge will pay huge dividends for all your future characters.

There was no time/room for exploration if you played during peak hours. Always raids/retrievals/enemeies/hunting and so on.

Welcome to the Village!

Kastellyn - Thanks for the extra con and the last name. I was majorly bummed that I couldn't make it for the second rites on time. I couldn't figure out the time difference and reach 45 mins late.

I was glad you showed up regardless. That was a great Rites, one of the best in recent memory, and I was happy to let you participate towards the end. Most folks I would have told to pack sand, but I figured you would make them more interesting, and you did.

Again, great job on a solid character. Glad you enjoyed the run, hope you enjoy your next one as much!

good times man, had some idea you were a little wet around the ears but again you shaped up hard in the end. You lucky you didnt have to face me in the rights punk hahah I think I proved my self in the last rights I think it was number four that Krag has seen, I always end up missing the rights in which I should be able to make a dent
this time it was just not ment to be *sigh* haha

I hope you enjoyed your playing time and the village as a whole
It will be good to have you back in there one day after a few more learning chars

Grats on sticking about so long. I love your style. I think you'd have made a great commander if you were about a lil' more. It was always great to have you around. You were solid and dependable. You swear like a druken monkey. G'luck man. I hope you stick around and keep the village strong for another four rites.

Oh Gorrnar,
I had a feeling you were relatively green but that green? Very impressive character from the specializations choices to the weapons. Sorry if I came down hard a few times, but overall I did like Gorrnar and I hope you learned alot from him. I am sure you next character will be very impressive. Good luck with the next.

Lerimos the Black. Keep rapping.
I think you are doing good with the village, though I saw a slump in new entrants recent, what gives? Seems the village uphill is going down now. I also saw you about a lot less in the last fifty hours of my char. Keep them applicants coming and yeah - Some freaking berseker do something about ALL the village leaders being defenders! Like Gorrnar would say 'Fargings Hells! Lets gets thems axes hackings!'

Couldn't find yer own fat arse wid both hands most days!

Nice job, and congrats on all the firsts. Of course now you have set your bar you will have to jump higher!
Did notice you were a bit green in some areas, so Ysal took you under her sweaty armpit. Made you race across Thera, and took you places far afield, got you nice shiny axes, and pushed some cabal responsibility your way.
You were a beast in the Rites, and I was happy you did well. I think you were definitely a contenter for most improved, both in RP and PK. I'm glad we have you as a convert to CF. Tell your friends, tell your family, get them all hooked, because we all know CF is the best of breed, and people like you only make it stronger.

I do however wish you had stuck it out to the end *fistshake* If I had been awake there would have been some spiky boots applied to Gorrnar's backside at the mention of leaving!

Dam I miss Gorrnar already! Sigh! Thanks for all those races, though I never really beat you I bet at the later end of my char I'd have given you a run for you money I learnt a lot from you and Kaisse, in terms of fighting, spirit and rp. I found your rp so cool that I might just role a dwarf next . Think you were a VERY DOWN TO EARTH leader and a very approachable commander. Was such a kick to beat you in the rites, believe it or not I trained for those rites and had chalked out a plan to beat you and Lerimos because I knew you both were the only villagers I'd have to beat to emerge on top, and lucky for me that day all went as per plan. I felt so accomplished to have beated the two warriors whom I considered to be uber villagers. I have the log, I think I'll post if for you!
