Simply put, there were too many things wrong with the character and the character's environment. While some of the play time was manageable, fun, exciting...Most was not. The amount of enjoyment didn't beat the frustration. And the frustration came from a lot of stupid things, which, maybe if I had done some things differently may not have been so bad.
Some of the things that made it frustrating for me, which I could probably use some guidance for. First, Qing. I geared for saves just because of him. I passed up wide copper bracelets and black hammer pendants and things for gear with saves. When added up, I had at least -60 saves (divinely protected). This didn't seem the case at all. Every time he tried to summon me, it seemed to work. Everytime he used a supplication on me, it went thru. And as for Dezekayla's gating (after me teleporting blind, plagued, weaked, etc.), I still had massive saves. But Dezekayla seemed to be able to gate to me every time. So, that tactic obviously didn't work. Also, it always felt like I was the only one in the Tribunal, which was true most of the time. The fact that Marmaanth AND Grurk are dormant (yeah, I had no idea that Immortals had multiple immortals), and both were largely involved in Suma's role, sort of sucked that they weren't around. Gordath is a huge pushover, in my opinion. I saw tons of things wrong and he did absolutely nothing about them. Especially with Ryal, Derkhan and Talenthas. Talenthas, you broke the law, and you got to keep your position. You should have been booted right away. Then you tell me if I need help with anything in the Spire to let you know. Then you decline helping me at the huntress. Yeah, I was in favor of them killing you. Ryal, you writing those notes was absolutely ridiculous. It put a huge red flag on the character. But the fact you went to Empire -should- have cleared my name of those things. But I still caught crap IC from it, even though you are barely a tenth-rate player. When I reviewed that fight from the battlefield, I realized what had happened. That mob-bard sung a song immediately as we walked in, which caused us to attack it and not you. That's a shame. Then Derkhan... We have an arguement, and I decide we should settle the arguement with swords. You do some sort of chuckling thing, then nod in agreement to me, and walk outside the city of galadon, only to have you flee immediately after I initiate the fight and you start yelling "you are so done!" "You are out!" And followed by some laughing and a rather pathetic note to the Tribunal. Yeah, I was hoping just once I'd find out outside the city, but that never happened. I mean, I was a Grurk follower after all. And killing you wouldn't have mattered. To finish up these frustrations, I think things would have been much better if there were some alliance, order, friendship, maybe have an active immortal in the cabal too? Marmaanth put in some PBF's that he talks to some other immortal about promotions and things. So where the hell are they at? Seems like every cabal has at least two immortals, which are at least partially active if not very active. Why not throw Tribunal a bone. Also, anyone who says that Outlanders have a difficult time against Tribunal, or are underpowered, are dead wrong. Outlanders have way more power, having been on both sides of the war.
Now for some of the good. Yes, I met a few decent people in this short-lived character. Zhuanth, I wish you were around more often. Could have shown you a few more things, and vice versa. I felt as though I could trust you, even though just about every other dark-elf Suma met was corrupt and inaffable. Which is why I made that agreement with you, to try and confirm in Suma's head that she could trust you. Really though, the character was too short lived to have really made any good friends or alliances.

I can answer this one. Level differences between characters only matter for one thing in this game: Spells/Supplications. No matter how high your spellsave is, if your opponent has several ranks on you, he's probably going to land his spells on you (and, alternatively though this is not applicable to you), you're not going to land yours on him. You never got a chance to rank out of Qing's "sweet spot," so I always had a huge advantage against you.
I thought you did a great job and I'm sorry to see you go. I hope you have a blast with the next!

Why do we have saves in the game if they don't matter trying to stop spells/communes? Why do we have hitroll if nobody really knows if it does anything anymore? The only things I gear for is stats/damage/hp/mana anymore because the rest simply never shows that it does anything at all because like you say about saves it simply does not.

To put this in perspective, a level 11 assassin using endure can pick up -50 save vs spell wearing only newbie area gear. This will help you in saving against a lot of spells where saves reduces the damage or duration. Between -70 and -100 is where I have found I could shrug off most spells and supps.
>Why do we have hitroll if nobody really knows if it does anything >anymore?
It helps you hit more often. Once you start dealing with dam reduction or shorter fights, it's better to do more damage than land misses with greater frequency.

And it makes all the difference in most of my fights as well. With levels, all you gotta do is level up and you fix that problem forever, saves you gotta keep working at.

They do. This is sort of like saying: Why have stoneskin in the game, my character still takes damage?
Anyway, I bet if y'all took a guess at how much level overpowers save affects/gear, you'd far overestimate the importance of level. It meant an enormous amount before Cador and I overhauled saving throws in 1997 or so, now it's not as big a deal.

Well because it does.
Just another vague-arity.
Do you know how much he thinks it does? Would I be right in saying it's a +/- 2 penalty per level difference of the caster?

I'm glad that you felt you could trust me, as I felt that I could trust you. I heard a lot of flack from people such as Ryal, and while I would listen I never saw similiar actions from you to warrent any major worry. Trivial things like your dealings with derk and whatnot are well in your role and if they're not an immortal will respond. I do wish I could have been within the realms more with you cause it always seemed that are times never matched up perfectly and as I said above, much trust and respect.
Hopefully you'll make another Tribunal, because as you put it... we could use the numbers against Outlander. Glad I recomended you, wish you were still about.
Thank you for responding to the death post.

Ah too bad Suma, I was hoping for at least a few more chances at fighting and trying to convert you. As for the balance between Outlander and Tribunal, it's a toss up sometimes, just depends on the mix of who's on and who happens to be in control (i.e. whom has which item). In your home court, you've got the edge. I think we'd have had a good match up had it ever been even, but I don't remember if we ever had that chance. (We may have, I just don't remember, I'm old )
Good luck with whatever's next.

Your comments when we saw each other last made it clear what was going to happen. All those defends ending up badly must have been but the tip of the iceberg I guess.
I'm not in a position to judge Tribunal (or it's enemies) so I'll stick with saying that I enjoyed having you around, and I'm going to miss a strong warrior like yourself I could rely on.

You are right about Gornath. He is a push over and should have thrown you out on your hump long ago.

Der has problems with more people than just you, he accused me of having a perma-pkiller friend in character first of all, but also know that the Orcs have no god and we are a cabal; in 200 hours and playing lots of differnt times looking, praying and writing notes we have no god either and no other immortal wants to step in (I don't assume I deserve it). You had a strong character all the time you were at my side so I know you'll do well again.

I doubt seriously you could have taken me down with anything besides a good bash to keep me from escaping.
I rate my fights by Survivability. not PK and for what ever reason, that character was a able to take down a Cloud Sword Spec with nothing on except a dagger shield and an amulet. Never seen anything like it, but when I was ready for a fight (Save for Ragers) I could drop them or drive them off if they couldn't heal.
What I want to know is why you seemed so OOC angry all the time. My biggest problem with your character was the fact that you never spoke. Your Description was so ####ty I had to post on Dio's for you to fix it.
I was allways under the impression that you were talking on IRC or something.
And I think my RP was anything but 10th rate. I tried several times to engage you, and at one point a typo revealed something to you I didn't want revealed. As a player I would have disreguarded that, but you seemed to seize on it OOC and that was it.
I honestly have to say, having you in that guild was another nail in the coffin for me as a player. You were obviously not cut out for it, you ranked on guards, bad mouthed other tribunals and did what you wanted to do.
I strongly suspect you of having OOC connections just by watching your times and who you appeared with. You seemed to pick and choose log ins with a couple of outlanders...who share your writing style...
I could go on and on and on... but I'm guessing this will be deleted, simply to cover up any indication that there are disgruntled players, or arguements within the game.
What ever. It's yours now, I can't enjoy it anymore.

As for the OOC accusations, well, thats all they are, is accusations. I know two people outside the game who play. One of them doesn't really share my playing times unless I am playing late night on a weekend or something. And the other doesn't hardly play carrionfields that much, but will from time to time. Onto my point though. It is this sort of thinking that plagues CF with the ####-brickhouse of negativity OOC.
As for my character, I was blatantly a Grurk follower. You know..Anger, vengeance, justice? Maybe you do not know the religion all too well, so it may be difficult for you to understand. As for the ignoring part, that is because you never had anything decent to say to Suma. You were the one who had an OOC chip on your shoulder. I just played the game. I avoided you because I didn't like you, both IC and OOC. You were a lousy, backstabbing Tribunal (then you went to the Empire). You bad-mouthed everyone. So why should there be any reason for me to even talk to you? You were dark-elf scum of the earth.
IRC? I don't even know what that is. I've only ever heard of it briefly. Enlighten me, all wise one.
As for being able to "drop or drive me off", well, we'll never know now. It is just an assumption.
My description. Yes, I am glad I listened to the other people. I think it is amusing how much you assumed of this character and were totally off base. When I said I dioxide's forum that I had only been playing 5 months, did you think I was serious? I am not going to say whether or not I know more than you about this game, but I have certainly been around a while. I know more than enough to be adequate.
What do you mean, ranked on guards?
I don't really ever log anything. Only little tidbits here and there. It was roughly three to four weeks from the time I created the character to the time I deleted. I put in 114 hours. That's a pretty good amount of playing time. A lot of playing time in which you were never around. I was around thru thick and thin. So again, another false accusation about the logins/logoffs.
To finalize this. Why did you feel the need to try and attack me (verbally) in the game AND here? What is your real problem?
Just play the damn game and try to have some fun with it. Don't take it so seriously, geez.
I really didn't want to reply to any of this nonsense. But once again, you've taken things too far, as you did in the game. Shame on you.

I know Grurks religion very well.
I was trying to e a follower of Lyristeon, thus I was trying to seed discord within the tibunal. Once it became apparent tht the leader was too soft to to really act on anything and nothing would be done I switched teams on a whim.
I tried several times to engage you in conversation, but you wouldn't speak, when I saw you scanning to see me once as I was speeking to you, I thought, 'What the hell is this guys problem.' So when you make remarks on my RP, I take it personal. You wouldn't RP with me at all. You only spoke when a situation came up that benifitted you.
So how am I supposed to react to you? I began to try to sabotage you.
As per your description, It was so mangled and you hang out with other Euro/Russo's I assumed you were talking OOC or what ever.
You ranked up in Tir Talith on guards. I was around and saw you. That's when I think I first pondered fixing your description.
You were NOT on duty much at all, THAT I SAW. I was putting in 16 hour days at times and didn't see you for what seemed like two at a time. This doesn't bother me, other's were around less, other's were around more, and putting in some good RP.
At any rate, even if you were a follower of Grurk, I would never know, because you made no effort to interact with anyone that I could see. If you are new that's understandable, but you should at least make some effort to speak with those around you, otherwise, use the deaf command.
Please take note, I never said anything once about I'm better than you, or that I was a good Tribunal, or what ever.
What was infuriating about you, is that you jut seemed like another powergamer.
Still it's your game now.

I made no effort to interact with YOU.
My job doesn't allow me to play everyday. Sometimes, it doesn't allow me to play for a couple-three days.
I had more in store for this character, without a doubt. But I lost track of what my goals were, and certain things started to go awry (like the huge fact that Marmaanth = Grurk, which means crappy Tribunal interactions and religion interactions). I deleted and moved on. You deleted too. You too should move on.
