A few entertaining quotes and emotes I said, did, heard, or saw. Feel free to add anything that you experienced that made you laugh.

Innis gives you the bird.

Outlander ranger to bard who put me to sleep: "Defile her!"

Outlander: "I don't take being threatened very lightly."
Saephii: "I take very lightly when being threatened."

The Summer Lord appears and hands your pants back to you.

Saephii: "Don't be givin' me yer loot or I'll steal yer pants!"

A drunken Saephii to a picture of a statue in the Inn: "Hey, good-lookin'"

Saephii to a pair of frustrated felars: "You two boys make such a cute couple!"

After putting an orc feces trap on a sleeping bard's bag:
Innis: "The vile things you handle. You better wash your hands after that."
Saephii wipes her hands on the back of the bard's cloak.

Outlander: "I need some more ale."
steal ale outlander
give ale outlander
Outlander: "Thanks!"
beam outlander

Well, it was certainly interesting being a trapper Outlander thief. I tried several things with this character in addition to taking on the challenge of the first trapper thief in the Outlanders (I think). My assumption of being the first derives from having been an Outlander since near the beginning with one character or another, and also the severe amount of bugs still there for the thieves.

Notes:

Losing Hide - This is not that big of a disadvantage unless you join outlanders before you'll have the ability to use chameleon. Chameleon is far better for a trapper who can set a trap and move to another room, or set one and just wait. No one can see you except rangers, who often don't threaten Outlanders too much, shadow sect Imperials, and the Emperor. This is a HUGE advantage if you know how to use it right.

Thief Waylay - Does not work with chameleon. Big disadvantage because this is one of the highlights of the trapper path. Thief waylay was wonderful when I could still hide, but once I could only chameleon, it said I had to be hidden to waylay someone. Having this skill would have made a big difference in a lot of raids. I'm hoping this was a bug and that if there's ever a trapper thief in the future, it will be fixed for them.

Isolate - Found out something with it that would give me an a way to cheat, but when I found out about it, I never used it for that purpose. I like to be an honest player. I already posted it on the bug board, so it should be fixed before any other future Outtie thieves learn to take advantage. Still, I didn't get to test out some of the things I would have wanted to with it. This seems to be a very useful tactical skill, if you can get it to work.

Knock-Out Traps - Once I got to about level 38, my knock-out traps never worked except on me when I failed. From level 38 on, I did not have a single person knocked out with the most powerful ingredient I had. When I was able to find an even more powerful ingredient, it still didn't seem to work. This makes me about as feared as mayonaise. Its one thing to have a glowing trap or damage trap go off and suck a little damage, but knock-outs are supposed to be the scariest thing. Also, when I was finally able to get a more powerful trap ingredient, it was at a place that cost less than two gold. I had to barter extremely expensive things just to get a single trap ingredient. My suggestion would be to tweak barter so that Outlanders, who have to barter for everything, get a better deal with their trading. For an item less than two gold to buy, I had to barter something more than seven times the value.

Overall - Once thief waylay gets fixed and the traps get tweaked a little, I do not see why other trappers shouldn't join. Outlanders is ideal for them. Combat steal is awesome, as is shield blocking and disengaging.

Playing Saephii:

This was the first character I tried a few things with. I tried to play her charisma, which was 13. I grated on people's nerves, I stole from cabalmates, I insulted everyone, I tried to be only slightly likeable. I also tried to play a goodie who was really half-drow. Meaning, at times, vitriolic streams of insults and derogatory comments were thrown along with a conscience and a sense of humanity. She could be both caring and cruel, your best friend who also happened to steal from you, put traps on your bags, and cackle gleefully while stealing your pants. Most of what she did was in good nature, but every now and then, someone would rub her the wrong way and get her drow side. I also taunted people, bluffed them, deceived them and made snide remarks about their ability to perform. It was fantabulous!

Goodbyes:

Innis - "Innis gives you the bird." Of all the interactions of any of my characters with you, this one little emote trumps. I had a great laugh at that one. I feel I brought out the darker side in you, and that was something that made me very proud, especially when you showed up during a fight between myself and a cabalmate to hand my stolen pants back to me. I really like the fun we have.

Reossi - My love! It was fun pretending that we had a sick and twisted little relationship. I forget how it first started, but it blossomed into continual insult and tender goosing. You were a lot of fun to have around and be the other half to our comic duo.

Crendal - I know you hated me stealing from you, which is why I took every opportunity I could to do it and smugly hand your things back to you. I also enjoyed openly questioning your authority. Fun!

Gileanas - Thanks for giving me the chance to join. I hope I proved a worthy Outlander in your eyes. Too bad we didn't get to interact more.

Salvreth - It was love at first insult. You're going to be a fine Harbinger. Congrats to you.

Other Friends and Enemies - Post and I'll post back.

I liked Saephii from some little interaction we had, I was extremely fearful of you, Reo, and a few others lurking about. Good luck with the next

I liked our skirmishes. I think we exchanged words more than a few times, and I enjoyed our short RP sessions. Good luck with where your character is going.

If you thought the Brothels were bad, good thing you didn't know that Fereksah was trying to move in and take your spot. Hahah, I'm amazed you stuck it out as long as you did considering how poorly your traps worked. I still remember that one trap that failed and knocked out our whole team at the Vanquisher...haha. You were lots of fun, and I like how everyone sticks us together, and I hope your next char is a bit more successful. Cause this one was "Completely Harmless". Muahaha. Just messing with you.

Ugh! Apparently Innis saw that too and mentioned it to me. The one time a trap finally "works", but actually fails, and knocks out three of our own group while a cluster of dangerous Imperials stands nearby. Talk about bad luck. You made roleplaying with Saephii worth it, and I found myself logging in just to see if you were around. Great job with everything. Now you don't have anyone to steal you wine anymore, though.

Oawenisou has a firm "I hate shadowwalkers" outlook, and didn't much trust you at first regardless of you being in outlanders. Then that time happened where we got to RP, adn I had no idea how to react in-char lol. I just did the best I could to turn it into a chance to preach lol.

That was a fun spur-of-the-moment RP I decided to try, to add some more dimension to Saephii's character. I could tell it sorta caught you by surprise, which was what I was hoping for. The game is more fun when its more than just senseless slaughtering. Good luck with everything. I liked your character a lot.

Bah. And you hit the right point with this. I mean when you insulted Goris who had "inferiority complex" that was blossomed after speaking with you, hehe.

Yeah, I know it seemed like it was a player thing to belittle you for getting us all killed, none of it could really be blamed on you. Saephii was frustrated by the Imperial hordes and people charging into the fights recklessly only to get killed. I think I used that particular instance to become a bit more isolationist in Saephii's stance about Fortress/Outlander relations when it came to retrieving. Good luck with your next, as I saw you recently deleted.

I don't even get my own goodbye! Oh, there'll be hell to pay...

I liked you a lot, though you and Reo did die a bit too much for my own taste Your rp was good and obviously encouraged others around you to rp as well, which is why it's disappointing you deleted. And to think: I just sniffed out some neat trap ingredients for you. The Dude is all mine now, harrhrhrrrr. Take care, Woman, and good luck with your next character.

lol. I don't know how I could have forgotten Fereksah. Saephii stopped stealing from you so much because you didn't mind. She liked to get under people's skin, and other than occasionally calling you kitty, there weren't any derogatory belittling names I could think of to call you. We had a lot of fun when it was you, Reossi, and myself. Its always great to get a group that meshes well together. Good luck with Fere and I'm glad to see the Refuge getting some strength in it now.

Honestly, I expected a slap on the wrist or a booting from the cabal for some of the things I did. When I tried something and got away with it, though, I wanted to try something even more brazen. So, that lead to constantly insulting you (I thought I'd get it for calling Arak a woman's wine), stealing your pants on more than one occasion, and even going as far as insulting the Imp. I always felt one moment away from getting struck by lightning, but I was out there with a big metal pole and dancing naked like there was no tomorrow.

Anyway, I always enjoy our interactions.

I remember you stole from my chars every chance you got, and then I would attack you, and you still stole! There was no getting through to you. I loved it. You have always been, and will always continue to be a role model and inspiration for my chars. I like how you showed me quite abit even though you were half my age... I only regret we didn't travel more.

lol. That was priceless. You thought you were being nasty with your fighting me, but while you were kicking and cursing and such, I was taking the opportunity to empty your pockets. Still, being an Outlander, I never kept anything I stole from my cabalmates and always gave it back. Good luck with everything. I think once you realize how to best utilize your size and class, you will be respected a lot more. Good luck!

I enjoyed your character a lot, despite our few little fights. Why the deletion? Seems like it came outta nowhere. I was hoping to see how you'd play out when you reached hero and looked forward to some fun times. I would always warn other outlanders not to let the
'she-devil' get in their heads, dont want all the male outlanders bein taken in by your charm and all(haha). Anyway, good luck with your next, hope to see you back in Outlander soon.

The deletion came after six ranks of dozens of unsuccessful knockout traps and the inability to even thief waylay. My stealing was decent enough, but without effective traps, being a trapper and all, what is the point of continuing? I suppose that's a bit of a negative attitude to have, but my use was dwindled down to a pickpocket in Outlander without the benefits of better stealing ability.

Still, we had a lot of RP fun and I always enjoyed traveling with you and causing trouble. Good luck as the Harbinger, and I wish you a long, successful reign.

I allways saw Saephii as the 'bad girl' and i allways liked it. You being around allways put a smile on my face, which usualy was cringed and twisted because the time of my play that i met you consisted of mostly regrearing myself and immidietly loosing it all in some counter raid that left me dead even when it was a success.
I think it's easy to see how your relationship with Reossi started... You stole his booze, and he followed you to the end of the world. If that's not a love story i don't know what is .

Anyway, from what i saw your char was awesome. Good luck in the future. Bye.
