I think I had the most fun with this character that I've had in ten years of playing CF. In 1995, I used to sit in a basement computer lab in Grand Forks, playing my cheese mud, and this group of 15 kids would descend on the place at around 11pm or so, MUD all night and leave sometime after dawn. I'd call that crew motley, for sure. Well obviously I had to try out the mud they were playing, eventually, and I've been stuck here ever since. All told, though, I'd say I have accumulated only a year of experience, as my breaks are generally a couple of years or so between a month or two of really hard, non-stop, career ruining, mudding. I didn't even know about the "role" command until I tried my hand as a shaman and finally decided to tackle the whole empowerment thing (which I read all about and then decided against). Well, I'll be the first to admit that my written role sucked with this character.

My goal was to be a hired killer, but early on I saw that this wasn't the most plausible thing in the world to do, so I satisfied myself with senseless killing. Assassinated a lot of people, made a lot of enemies, had a lot of fun doing it. Tried to join Battle once, returned to the Lyceum for the first time in 6 (real world) years, or so. I liked some of the literature a lot and have to commend the writers for their dedication to history. The rager thing begins as a really kickass story, but then sort of just becomes a log of "next there was X, and next there was Y, and next there was Z, etc" and I got a little bored with it and blew it off. I think being a Sysadmin has made me a little AD&D. Anyway, Mitrassek, and Tuggluk, you two were completely awesome characters. I met the first one day in Azuremein (I don't think I ever had a successful attempt there), and I chased him all the way down to South Sutherspring road, where he lay waste to me in a mere moment. Tuggluk I stalked around until I couldn't harm him any more, but never even got close enough to drop the bomb.

In a bad mood one night I made an anti-alliance with the Empire (buncha gank happy goons), and got what I deserved, which was a lifetime of spoiled stalking and running from duergar squads. I had a lot of fun failing attempts and then letting people chase me all over the Imperial city, though. I loved and respected all of those half-drow necromancers, Makholvek, Kresh, Isthzaruul, and Gvan, the shaman.

Some fun assassins out there to hang out with. Sarmas, Israhiaz, namely, were my mentors, never straying from that indifference the hired killer should maintain. Even failing a HUGE number of attempts, I have to say that just the act of stalking was really a lot of fun. I so totally wanted this character to die a CON death, but my wife and I just had our first baby, so its just plain old infant mortality.

Last thing that happened to me was really just a result of knowing I had to get away from this place. I got ganked and took it personally. Silly. I slung a couple insults and threats I didn't intend to follow through on, and logged off to go change a diaper or something, the whole while thinking "why am I pissed off about this?" and the next day I came back to wipe all of my characters and get on with my life again.

Anyway, a lot of, and enough of you all are awesome enough to keep this place an amazing experience. Endless compliments on the whole three-person experience gain system, too. It really ensures that there will be a culture on the game, and alliances and vendetta to keep things interesting. The areas are awesome, the skills are rad, the classes are incredibly well balanced, and the gods are even cool, which is an oddity in my experience with the MUD universe. Keep up the good work, and maybe I'll get back here when my kid turns 18.

xoxoxo,
Huriken comitted suicide

I had just battled some four opponents and survived while managing to seal a kill on him and >>>KAPLOW<<<!

I posted a rant about it and it got thread locked, but I have to know....

How many stalks did you have on me?

I was running around through differing terrains, had seen you on a who, once on a where, not long before that. I knew you were in the area, and wasn't concerend about being assassinated. I thought we might fight, sure, but to have an (For me) awesome series of fights end like that really was upsetting.

Nothing on you as the player, but I just don't care for that ability that much, seeing how I can't imagine that you had any or many stalks on me. I'm probably wrong so if you can, please tell me how many you had.

And for the record, you need to work on your subterfuge a bit!
You tipped your hand to me that you had ill intent. If you are going to have friends helping you make sure they are in on yer plans. Heh.

You were a subject of concern on the Cabal Channel for us little guys, so you were havin some impact. I'm supprised to see that you deleted at 38. I hadn't seen you move from 35 for a while, and rarely even saw you. I assumed if I saw Dulmisa, you were close at hand. You two share playing times, and She is visible more often than you were.

Anyway, you were a decent assassin from what I could see. good luck on your next.
