I'll just start off with this little disclaimer.. I never have nor intend to claim to be some almighty l33t player or whatever it is you call it. For the lame asses that wanna say I suck.. well, so? Suck it.
Now, onto the good parts.
Was going out on a limb here, trying to do something at least for me, was a bit different, this also being my first rager. I have a better grasp on the cabal now, and it was a great experience being a part of what I always considered the 'veterans' cabal, thanks for that.
Iborenn, i used to rank with you with Psyrel, so i knew from the start you were good people, but honestly, why are you a commander if you do 5 minute log ins? ok ok... 15 minutes... Get my drift? Theres a lot of people out there that want a piece of the village, annoyingly more than even I wanted to talk to, anyway, thanks for the induction.
Acaga, Khard, your playing times are pretty close in, and I always knew id get some decent gear and a rank when I saw you guys around.
Dralkoz.. I think the way our differences were handled and the friendship our chars made out to have was really cool, thanks for showing me a few tactics.
Yuyuya.. Heh.. haha... hahahah... your just... not worth the time.
Scion
After going on an outlander streak of characters fighting tribunal a while an all, it was nice to have an enemy that wasnt only not afraid to attack, but was good at it. You guys well deservedly handed my my ass many times, but everytime was fun mixin it up, made it even that more worthwhile the few of you I actually solo'd.
Empire
All i'm going to say is... if the "Patheticness" of empire "player play" gets any worse with the #### that you do.. I'm going back to games with graphics, because playing in odds i've seen you throwing around, I might as well just drop my armor an sac it before you get to me.
and thats about it. I didnt have this great role idea or anything, I just wanted to try out a few different things, and try to get a grasp on battle. I didnt join the cabal till my 41st title, so you can imagine the evolution process was a learning curve far as customs of wanna be ragers.
Aside from that, I think doubleblock has a few bugs in it, dagger specs are really useful. Whispers legacy... I was told it was a regen legacy, so no, I wasnt happy with it after I got it. Didnt notice much except when I was famished I didnt take damage for a bit. Guess im just stupid.
My second legacy was the fist legacy, and soon as I picked it, I fought ... some mob, and Poison alone, bring my strength to 18, dropped both my daggers. Guess its justa no-disarm legacy. Least I know now.
Yep... thats bout it.

You sure seemed to regen pretty fast after we fought at the archmage.

I've had fist before and at least back then it did more. Can't speak to whether that's been changed, but somehow I doubt it.
Didn't know you very well, but I didn't see alot of the stuff people complained about. Other than deleting, posting a goodbye, then reactivating. At that point I think I would have just thrown in the towel. But that's just me.

You were a fun fight. If you had caught me on the outskirts, I would have been done in one blow, when I was runnin off.
I regen fast because I was a defender. I could heal myself
****hint hint Veulios, spamming 150+ hours of plague just so i can walk off an cure it****
Im not that great on too many things, but i had two 14lb weaponss, daggers, with fist, and str was only reduced to 18 as an arial, and couldnt wield either of them, from just poison. My idea of fist is the hold heavier weapons/nodisarm/ wield weapons when most cant I just didnt see or realize it I gues.
And yeah , you got me on the delete thread.. I even emailed the imp staff to make sure was ok, and someone else talked me into at least getting to my next legacy first this time. First warrior with two legacies. Thanks for the fights

Without fist you can keep wielding up to 3 lbs.
Going from 3 lbs to 14 lbs is a huge jump.
Try something like 8 (say) lbs, and you might find why fist is better than you thought.

Meaning you probably are used to prepping and having an out (teleport, ect) for when caught in bad situations. I liked traveling with you, even though you probably just viewed me as a 'regear bitch', I was trying to be as helpful as I could...Nice job from what I saw, if that means anything to you. I get the feeling you could play a mean outlander or maran type. Village is pretty damn tough to pull off, especially first time out. Way harder than people think. Peace.

dude.. i was Psyrel Galler, the bitter bard of mobocracy.. outlanders rock. I just played like 9 straight.. had to do something different. I liked sylvaz a lot ranking up, probably more than you think. Because as I got older and in the village.. I found non cabal old friends wanting to talk, rank, what not, and i just didnt have the time. the village can get real busy, and I just grew apart from the non cabal trying to focus on the pk aspect with my cabal.
But yeah.. regear bitch has a nice ring to it. Thanks too, you helped several times.

I'll start with the good. When we travelled together, we were a pretty sicksome duo. I'd stand in front and not get touched, you'd plow on behind and mow down whatever we fought. You were a good companion.
The bad. I wore gear that progged left, right, up down and sideways. I had on at least three visibly progged items when we would group. You never so much as blinked at travelling with me wearing healing pendants, rings that shot electricity, or bracelets that would glow and heal my mana. Vinulurt liked that about you, and he felt he could use it to try and talk you into being more accepting. I as a player was pretty annoyed.
The ugly. You did seem to enjoy ganging to a degree that was less than acceptable for a Villager. You might want to work on the RP aspect of your characters a bit more I think. You play well, but you seemed to really not be a villager with this character. You just struck me as some guy with Rager powers, but no reason for it.

Well, the good.. Yeah, we kicked the #### out of most anything together.
Progged stuff... I wasnt a in village, so i figured i didnt have to be the kind of guy that does the whole destroy your magic or we dont travel, at least just yet. And yeah, im as new to the village as a baby is to jack daniels. Plus... well yeah, I need work.
The ugly.. Yeah, I did my share of ganging, in the low levels. After about mid 30's unless you were striking the village, or we were raiding, and not really even in that case as much, i didnt really gang i dont think. There were a few times id pass through a city the time i think Veulios was there, so i started after em, then he started spouting about honor, apparently another villager was fighting with him, just not in the same room.
and I did kinda feel like some guy with rager powers, honestly. This character taught me a lot on grasping the villages roleplay, and if i make another I know itll be much better. Thanks for your honest words.

I was looking forward to boping you a good one the next time I saw you. Never did get that chance.
That's odd with the fist legacy, before you could hold a combined weight of 15ish pounds even with 3 str before dropping weapons.
Ah well one less legacy for me to pick I suppose.

Well, hell!
Thought you were pretty decent fighting, even though you seemed to rub a few other villagers the wrong way. And yeah, I like to see almost every villager make it to hero. Its sort of a good way of making things happen. You get help from the older villagers reaching your final title, then then in turn, you go out and help the younger ones below you.
Being a defender means your going to have a few losses. It also means you need to learn how to flee sooner in order to make those defender powers work to your advantage. And being a dagger spec like you were, you could put the hurt on a few people. It also means your going to be sleeping more for that mana regen when you got people like me and Acaga around *grin*.
As for your legacies, you should have chosen differently, honestly. If I were you, I would have taken Harmonious equilibrium (makes it harder to perma lag you) and probally dance (due to you needing some defense) or incindary wave (more malidictions). The two you choose were good in theory, but they did not fit well with your character or role in the village as a defender. And defenders need to stay alive so that they can keep the others alive.
All in all, good first time shot, and come back. You only get better the more times you try.

I was heartened to read that you are a newbie. Rather than just write You Sucked or You Were Awful or some other characterization, I will write the things I know you did, and then ask how you did them and still considered yourself either well roleplayed or a good villager. I'm open to explanations.
1. You hunted and killed in gangs, showing a total lack of courage.
-You admitted this below, so I will not give the various examples from when you were younger that I myself personally saw.
2. You hunted and killed non-magi.
-Example: you and I, before being made villagers, grouped with a bard, Viveka, or something like that. She never attacked you, she never threatened you, she never protected a mage, stood with a mage, or did anything other than be an annoying groupmate who fell short of your groupmate-expectations. So you pincered her and hunted her down after she fled four times so you could get the kill. Just because you thought she wasn't a good groupmate.
3. You speak up and act only when the odds are greatly in your favor.
-Example: You show big bravado and courage in challenging a warrior 9 levels below you, and an important 9 levels. You were 47th, I was 38th. That means you had two specs, and the time to perfect both. You had a legacy. And very important, you had about 300 natural hp more (the 41-47th levels are the double hp gains, remember?) You had enhanced reactions. I had none of those things. Despite all that you were about 50 hp away from death in our first fight. Yet you claim some great courage and superiority from that.
4. You break another's weapons during a fight in the circle. And you don't even set the rules. Fights in the circle are not necessarily, or even mostly, to the death. But you break the weapons of your brother villager, (not grime weapons, the real weapons the villager is using) which of course makes him a less efficient fighter in the war against magic. But you just attack when I walk from the shrine to the circle.
5. You loot the corpse of a villager, to keep for yourself.
6. You withhold bandages from a villager during a raid. You put your personal likes and dislikes over village welfare.
These are all facts of your life. I looked hard and was unable to find a single thing that I thought spoke well of your character. I am not omniscient and perhaps you did good things when I was not logged on and so could not see it. But on the above things alone I thought you were a pathetically poor villager.

Yeah, I am new-ish. I did roleplay well. I like to think so, and also several villagers, Dralkoz,Borr, Khard, Acaga, Iborenn, Arrazn, Grashin=villageapp, Bggarr, and I'm sure every other villager I interacted with Except you, seemed to like my character.
Sorry on that one.
"1. You hunted and killed in gangs, showing a total lack of courage."
I'm guessing your refferring to the 20ish ranks? I wasn't a villager until my 41st title. So mabye I was grouped and went 2-1, 3-1 five or six times. Man.. im such a gang whore. I also would raid solo, even took the scepter solo with two pk range scions. Thats a little courage.. I would fight anyone who wanted to, I would go after groups, I would tell my groups as I got older not to help. I wasnt born a villager, stupid. I took a fresh character, and evolved him into the village custom to the best of what I thought I should have. My low rank outlanders use coins too, because they arent Outlander.. they are {we call this roleplaying} developing themselves to what they are wanting to be.
Apologies for that one as well.
"2. You hunted and killed non-magi."
Um... yeah? If I heard of someone attacking a villager... mess with one mess with all. Thats my brother. Clan instinct, being part of a primal group of ancient arial beasts, which is in my role (This is also commonly known as roleplay} also.
If your referring to the same kill which you base every accusation over, killing Viveka? I'm a barbarian, I'm uncivilised, I have a life instilled ardor for genocide... I'm a bad mofo (Not really, but I thought I was In Character, also known as roleplay) and if some half drunk, half-breed (Also in my role, partly why Senloec hated magic was because it split the true bloodline of avian races, which also caused a general dislike for half-breed races. Aslo, this is known as roleplay) bard is talking trash to me, I'm going to beat him to the ground and warcry in his face. In death apparently they still felt the need to keep talking trash. When I was real new, I would send prays up over people that did that, and usually I got the response.. Kill them again then. So.. thanks Imms for the advice, Viveka deletes after three or four kills, and now he doesnt talk ####.
I wasn't a villager at this time. And he was wearing magic, but that had nothing to do with why I killed em.
Sorry there.
"3. You speak up and act only when the odds are greatly in your favor."
Hrm.. I call ####. Just ####. and your example
"Example: You show big bravado and courage in challenging a warrior 9 levels below you, and an important 9 levels. You were 47th, I was 38th"
Well. When you were 36, you shouldn't have starting a bitching temper tantrum when I told you to leave the village so the giant could respawn. Then you want to argue with someone 10 ranks on you in the village, Dralkoz who was 49, told you to shut up, and Ackuol the General, or whoever it was, I forget was there to told you to shut up, might have been borr. You and I both get to arguing now, because I am actively fighting scion, in the village, your a ghost, bitching for bandages and arguing at me. From the impression I've had from battle up to now, I would have thought you might get uninducted or pimpslapped by an Imm for that. Only way I can think of to stop your bitching, is say, the moment we can fight, we meet in the circle. Then left it at that. Then You started sening notes to battle bitching even more, so of course, I had to defend myself. Yet you keep talking ####, telling me i'm unfit for village. I notice next day your in pk and tell you to come to the circle. After 15 minutes of you trying to bitch out of it, you come.. with an eletric weapon to fight my arial. Lots of respect there, I wasnt using iron on you... No courage huh.. You died. Far as weaponbreak, everything goes in a fight. If your not supposed to do that because of rules.. You were my first time in the circle, I didnt know. ####.. I didnt know I had to CALL spellbane for the affect, I thought it was an automatic skill till like 43. Go figure. Rites over, your dead. I left everything.
You keep talking #### to me, telling me how unfit I am for a hut.
After about a half hour of it, I challenge you to the circle again, to shut you up hoping you dying again would make you respect the village custom and leave the qaurrel in the circle.
You refuse to fight.
Another half hour I'm out gathering stuff, and you challenge me. So I come to the village, your in the circle, I come in, and we go at it. Just like the first fight. You die again.
Then I tell you for wasting my time, I'm taking your coins.
All I took.
And you still.... kept.... bitching.
Man, I'm such a coward. Sorry.
"4. You break another's weapons during a fight in the circle. And you don't even set the rules."
Hey, use a vuln weapon on me in the circle, damn right I'll start breaking em, that was cruddy on your part.
" Fights in the circle are not necessarily, or even mostly, to the death. "
I missed a disembowel, you could have fled, But didnt so you died on the second disembowel. Heard of wimpy? Wait, your such an awesome PK/RPer you know about that, and died because your courageous and I'm not. Nah, sorry.
5. You loot the corpse of a villager, to keep for yourself. I took your coins after the second time you died to me in the circle. I have no guilt or "bad feeling" for doing that. If your trying to refer to something else.. Your lying. I've never looted a villager.
6. You withhold bandages from a villager during a raid. You put your personal likes and dislikes over village welfare.
Field dressing is 50 mana, I had about 11 con at that time. How ####ing fast do you think I regen mana? Between Borr, Dralkoz, and Myself, thats 150 mana every two hours keeping us healed while defending. A middle-ranked villager talking #### and totally disrespecting myself and two other villagers, during a F ucking raid... No, I am preserving my bandages for villagers that actually are defending the village. As I recall, you were a ghost regardless, and my response to you was To rely on your own strength for now. BECAUSE I dont have the mana to keep up resist, keep up truesight, heal me, heal dralk, heal borr, heal the giant, cure poison/plague as were gettin hit with it, and worry about the 36 level whining baby ghost at the shrine. So... sorry.
Anyhow, thats enough of that. I think you have the same serious frustration problems I used to have with the mud, and I know what your going through. I wish you well in all your endeavors and hope one day you will find peace. Peace within yourself, and peace with others. I love you man.
heh.. yeah right.

Do you believe your characters should be inducted without hufe effort when they've not lived by the values of the cabal they are to join?
I appreciate that you didn't get inducted until level 41 (or thereabouts), but I just read your comment about not "having to hate magic" because you weren't in the cabal yet, in the context of travelling with someone loaded with progging gear. That reminded me of you travelling with my necro and soon after being in Outlander.
Do you not believe that in order to demonstrate your dedication to a cabal you should be forced to live the lifestyle of the cabal for some time, and that that time should be longer the more you live a contrary lifestyle beforehand? Otherwise it just opens up cabals for people that don't rp and just want the powers.

It's what the person inducting does, although most people would try to avoid doing unragerly stuff pre-rager induction anyway.
But really, if you induct someone that groups with magic using people while they use magic, you need to think about checking them out a bit more thoroughly.

And here begins what becomes the theme of your entire post, your entire character's life, which is "I won't worry about the problems of being a villager applicant, and I won't have to show the qualities that a *person* who would be a villager should have, whether he's actually a villager or not (we're talking about courage here, about focus, about skill as a warrior, things like that) because hey, I'm not a villager yet, so why should I?"
Your lofty claims of deep roleplay and character development are, well, ####. You just didn't want to have to live with the drawbacks of being someone who hates magic. You didn't want to live with having the drawbacks of someone who has courage. You didn't want to live with the drawbacks of someone who doesn't ping pong around killing people who aren't your enemy. It's just easier and more fun to be able to gang and kill whoever you want, and then have this big epiphany one day when you finally get into the village and get those neato keen rager powers and *now* you have courage and all the other qualities you were supposed to have all along.
It's a tired old story and you're not going to sell it here.

Tired excuses. And there was no trash talking when you killed her. In fact it was you trash talking to her, insulting her. Then attacking her, her fleeing, lather, rinse, repeat. Unfortunately, villagers don't get the luxury of doing that, and you held yourself out as a villager applicant. So you failed the standards you set for yourself. It's all well and good to say you created a role that would make you want to kill her. Fine. But the consequence of that role you created makes you a bad villager.
> I wasn't a villager at this time. And he was wearing magic, >but that had nothing to do with why I killed em. >
Not being a villager at the time means nothing. You're supposed to have the qualities of a villager, and hold the beliefs dear, whether you have a hut or not. And as for the wearing magic, she was not wearing anything progg'd, just charred bracers. And as you yourself admitted, you repeatedely grouped with people who wore progged gear. You are a complete hypocrit.

You and I both get to arguing now, because I am >actively fighting scion, in the village, your a ghost, >bitching for bandages and arguing at me. > From the impression I've had from battle up to now, I would >have thought you might get uninducted or pimpslapped by an Imm >for that. > Only way I can think of to stop your bitching, is say, the >moment we can fight, we meet in the circle. Then left it at >that. Then You started sening notes to battle bitching even >more, so of course, I had to defend myself. >
Here's the most fun part of your post. You are very creative, I'll give you that. You seem to think you can tell other people, other villagers, what to do. Not only were you not any better or a leader, but you were in fact the newest of all villagers, the most recent induction. After your two or three attempts to bully Yuyuya out - he was doing something - I told you not to take your anger out at having just died on me and to just wait a minute. But no, you wanted to be a big man, so you started talking trash. As a ghost. When nobody was there. They'd all left because they'd already killed you. So there was no big reason that the giant needed to be back at that instant instead of two seconds later. Dralkoz never told me to shut up. He did what most villagers do when two others bicker, which is to say that both should be quiet. I told you to stop your moaning and groaning and posturing, but you didn't listen. The other stuff you're just making up.
As for notes, you sent the first. I replied, then you replied, then I replied, but then I removed my notes but you still sent out a third. So let's stop the lying, shall we? Not that it matters, since you up and deleted. Saving yourself an uninduction, I'm sure.
> Yet you keep talking ####, telling me i'm unfit for >village. > > I notice next day your in pk and tell you to come to the >circle. After 15 minutes of you trying to bitch out of it, you >come.. with an eletric weapon to fight my arial. Lots of >respect there, I wasnt using iron on you... No courage huh.. >You died. > Far as weaponbreak, everything goes in a fight. If your not >supposed to do that because of rules.. You were my first time >in the circle, I didnt know. ####.. I didnt know I had to CALL >spellbane for the affect, I thought it was an automatic skill >till like 43. Go figure. >
I had the walking wooden staff before I logged on, so try not to imply that I took extra time to go get it. And you made a ridiculous challenge, and I was unable to return to the village in 8 seconds. And yeah, no courage. You had none before and had none after. You're a schoolyard bully. But like all bullies when someone comes along who is going to beat you, you run. I was as weak an opponent as you could find, as all the advantages you had that I listed in my post showed. But you knew I'd level and soon enough I'd have those things, putting me on more equal footing. Having almost beat you *this* time, you knew I'd clock you in the future. So, you safely delete. Well done.
As for everything goes in a fight, no it doesn't. Yet another reason you were a pitiful villager. Instead of trying to be better than your brothers and lording it over them, using your bandages as hostage for fake respect, you should have been trying to learn from us.
> Rites over, your dead. I left everything.
They aren't Rites. Rites are to choose leaders.
> > You keep talking #### to me, telling me how unfit I am for a >hut. >
> After about a half hour of it, I challenge you to the circle >again, to shut you up hoping you dying again would make you >respect the village custom and leave the qaurrel in the >circle. > > You refuse to fight.
No, I didn't. I had just unghosted and was somewhere I could not leave from. A place it took me about 25 minutes to exit. But you didn't want to hear about it. You just want to whine like a baby.
> > > Another half hour I'm out gathering stuff, and you >challenge me. So I come to the village, your in the circle, I >come in, and we go at it. Just like the first fight. You >die again. >
No, I don't challenge you. I was able to return to the village so I asked, do you still want to fight? I was hoping you'd have figured out what an idiot you were being. Sadly, you hadn't.
> Then I tell you for wasting my time, I'm taking your coins. > > All I took. > > And you still.... kept.... bitching. >
Yes, you looted a villager. You're pathetic.
> > Man, I'm such a coward. Sorry. > >
Yes you are.
>"4. You break another's weapons during a fight in the circle. >And you don't even set the rules." > >Hey, use a vuln weapon on me in the circle, damn right I'll >start breaking em, that was cruddy on your part. >
No, if you don't want a vuln weapon, you say so. Breaking it weakens the villager for the time after the fight when he's fighting magi, which is supposed to be your goal as well. You're pathetic.
>" Fights in the circle are not necessarily, or even mostly, to >the death. " > >I missed a disembowel, you could have fled, But didnt so you >died on the second disembowel. Heard of wimpy? Wait, your >such an awesome PK/RPer you know about that, and died because >your courageous and I'm not. Nah, sorry. >
Yes, that's exactly right. He was courageous. You were not.
>5. You loot the corpse of a villager, to keep for yourself. > >I took your coins after the second time you died to me in the >circle. I have no guilt or "bad feeling" for doing that. > If your trying to refer to something else.. Your lying. I've >never looted a villager. >
You should feel bad. It's pathetic and as non-villager as I can think of. Which you might have learned if you tried listening to people who know better than you.
> 6. You withhold bandages from a villager during a raid. You >put your personal likes and dislikes over village welfare. > > > Field dressing is 50 mana, I had about 11 con at that time. >How ####ing fast do you think I regen mana? Between Borr, >Dralkoz, and Myself, thats 150 mana every two hours keeping us >healed while defending. A middle-ranked villager talking >#### and totally disrespecting myself and two other villagers, >during a F ucking raid... No, I am preserving my bandages for >villagers that actually are defending the village. As I >recall, you were a ghost regardless, and my response to you >was To rely on your own strength for now. BECAUSE I dont >have the mana to keep up resist, keep up truesight, heal me, >heal dralk, heal borr, heal the giant, cure poison/plague as >were gettin hit with it, and worry about the 36 level whining >baby ghost at the shrine. So... sorry.
Actually, they were ghosts, I was the only one not a ghost and I was fighting an assassin. You had recently unghosted and had full mana. All this crap about not having mana is ####, you hadn't been doing anything. And I was the one fighting, you had already been defeated by the scion. I became a ghost because you wouldn't bandage me. While I was defending. You just wanted to be a ####, which you were. Good job.
> > Anyhow, thats enough of that. I think you have the same >serious frustration problems I used to have with the mud, and >I know what your going through. I wish you well in all your >endeavors and hope one day you will find peace. Peace within >yourself, and peace with others. I love you man. >
The only frustration I have is that people like you don't get noticed by those who can do something about it and so you can stick around as a villager, giving the rest of us a bad name. I'm glad you're gone.
I'm also done on this thread. > heh.. yeah right.

I witnessed you killing someone then immediately try/kill them again and again. I thought it was not the right thing to do then. Although I am learning that at highest ranks it seems to be common practice.
I did not know you at the time. I was glad that you ended up being on an opposing team as it gave me the chance to fight and kill you often. Also, your actions did not go in accordance what I have read of the Villager helpfile.
I cannot say I will not miss see'ing your name on the "who pk" list. As I did enjoy killing you with others and alone.

I remember being in the village with two other villagers, and both of em just clueless what to do with you and your healer. Could never drop your weapons, even with flail/axe/dagger/mace specs comin at you at once. Towards the end I was pretty suicidle, just learning my first dagger spec, learning the village, hell I just learned the underdark.
You were fun to fight though, just wish I could have been able to do something to you other than bleed you an run like ####.
Far as village customs... I was learning and *ahem* this is the first time in the cabal. My extent of village knowledge is they always rape my magi characters and what I read on helpfiles and dios.
