Thanks to all the cool people I met in and out of the Fortress for making this a fun character. I rolled Bulvos up with four goals in mind. 1) To make it into the Fortress, 2) To become a Maran, 3) To check out whips and flails with a giant, 4) To test out some legacies.

I accomplished all of those things, though some less than others. I wish I could have been a bit more deathful, but I think I did alright anyway. I would have spent more time with the character, but like I said, I made him just to have fun for a while.

On to the goodbyes!

Fort:

Celebrimbor - What can I say, I thought you were a pretty cool guy. I had a fun time during the induction/ tour of thera . Sorry to leave you to fight without me, but with so many people in the Fort I seriously doubt it'll make a difference. I know you've got your hands full with a couple really strong fire giants up there in the hero ranks, but I am wishing you luck!

Audriel - You're right up here with Celebrimbor because you were there at the beginning of Bulvos's little journey. You are an ideal figurehead for the Acolytes, and I don't think anyone else could play the part with the same amount of charisma as you. Good job, and try not to eat too much axe!

Scharnz! - I have to admit, the speech quirk had me grating my teeth a little...but after 5 minutes I was liking it. You stand out in my mind as being one of the funner (is that a word?) Fort people around. Keep on keepin' on.

Brordaran - Where did you go? You were one of the coolest characters that I have ever met. Loved the singing and general light-heartedness that you brought to the table. Any guy who can bust out with songs about "blue suede dragonscale boots", totally improv', while 2 hours into a ranking session is damn cool in my book. I hope you find more time to play.

All of you other Fortress people (Jemar, Lekerjey, Thenrek, Remthael, Gaf, etc, etc) - I liked all of you, and I'd go into depth about each of you, but this is already getting long and I've only hit on one cabal so far! So good luck!

(Though Thenrek gets special mention for sticking it out during a tough time, and coming back strong not only then, but every time he's kicked down)

Enemies:

Blitz - You beat me up pretty good in the first fight, but I was totally unfazed because you went and fought me one-on-one like I prefer. The second time, when I got summoned into you, Gulthruck, Sinnria, and Nubli really, really sucked. I understand it was something of a raid situation...but I had just died the exact same way not more than 15 or 20 minutes earlier. No fun. But that aside, I think you kick ass, and I wish we had been able to interact on an RP level a bit more.

Kungkruk - Punk. I would have stayed to fight, but that WAS really bad timing, and the idea of letting you kick my ass from behind four angry mobs was just dumb. All the taunting was very befitting of what I picture a big, bully fire giant to be though.

Jinroh - Thanks for the severe case of ass-kick that you gave me. I know I would have done better the second time around, but ah well.

That is all I can think to say right now.

See you all in the future!

I was looking forward to a second fight with you. The First one I literally had 6 pieces of clothing, my main goal was not to let you entwine me, and once I saw kote hit I knew you were done. A giant whip flail is interesting and if used in the whole warcry/flurry spectrum its deadly. Good luck with the next

You tank like a pro, I must say. I knew your gear was kinda crappy, but since I had just regeared from being naked about 30 minutes earlier, it didn't seem like we were too unmatched. Once you broke my wrists it was over. . .and I'm not too proud to run when I need to . As for flails on a giant, I was really happy with the spec. I only wish I had been able to practice my skills a bit more, to make them more reliable.

Btw, I didn't have that particular warcry legacy, if that's what you were thinking. I did a combo that I thought would be unusual for a giant. One of the legacies is a fairly common choice (though I don't think for giants), and one I have never seen in action. . .and MAN, you are all lucky that no one uses it. Nope, I ain't telling.

This is, as I told you, a blow to the Fort. You were strong, reliable, and one of the Squires I didn't have to hold hands with. As for there being so many in the Fort, we've had about 6 or 7 deletions in the last 2 or 3 days. This was a blow I didn't really want, and would have talked you out of if I could have.

Good luck on the next.

I knew this would come at a hard time, but the only way to go about it is to look at the bright side; more gear to go around, and less people in general. Hopefully that will inspire everyone who is a bit gang-happy (I am not implying anyone here, just saying...) to take a chance at a one-on-one fight, since the fear of retaliation by numbers is not so strong.

Like I said in game, I think you are doing a good job. Your attempts to school the less-learned Fort people on tactics is really appreciated, I think. That kind of thing transcends the span of one character's life and will hopefully improve competition and gameplay long after your time is over.

I thought you had a kickass char and it looked like you were having fun. I remember though before I was inducted that you and Brordaran almost never grouped with me, be it you were busy already or other reasons, I dont know. Did you have some doubts about my half-drow heritage or was it the bloody sky model you kept going on about? Either way, your deletion as well as everyone elses here is going to prove a big loss for the Fort. I hope you have fun with whatever you decide to roll up next.

Later

You dont stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop playing.

First off, thanks!

As for grouping. . .I really was busy a lot, and took some time in the midranks to train. Naturally EVERYONE wanted to group while I was doing that, so I turned down lots of people. Your race didn't bother me at all, but yeah, a model of the sky demon, even without a red aura, was something Bulvos did not like seeing at all (ask Glilanthis). I thought you were a good guy to have around, and you always helped out, which is one of the best things about a good-aligned character (assuming they are nice enough to do it, which you were).

While i have had characters with bulvos' point of view
there glil didn't. but the timing was just plain bad.
I was starting a note to ask to be uninducted. and
then bulvos starts in with the 'evil gear' bit.
though i was drop 1.;sac 1 'ing' too fast and got that
wand of mine that i had not intended to. *groan*
I was just going to go up to the ledge write my note
starve myself to death once in the process, then piddle
around getting dressed while i waited for somone to come
by who could uninduct me. Then i was just going to throw
myself at my enemies randomly until con death.
but noooooo. p.s. I never did get another one, but then
again i had the nice sword for a good long while there.
I still liked bam anyway. But IC I tended to think of him
as 'well meaning but stiffnecked'

I have to agree with the captain here, deleting left
and right. I habitually go out via con, barring a couple
(Like an orc i spam died with against tremblefist until
Thrak came down to give me a good talking to, that one
I don't really count as a con death.)
So I have a good excuse to leave the fort. no more con.
It was you that wanted to be called Bam all the time yes?
Sorry there were so many fort people at the time I took
to labeling them in my head instead of thinking of the names.
If i am wrong I apologize, but I am pretty sure it was you.
If it was I liked the character alot. If not then pretend
I never said anything.

Hehe, yeah, I tried to get the "Bam" thing going. Bulvos's full name was Bulvos Bamvitten. . .and really, how fitting is "Bam" with that? I never got my last name assigned, so I guess it was easy to forget. I just stopped trying after a while .

Another one down.

I was impressed with Bulvos from the beginning of his life. He had my full backing for enlistment in the Fort. Your game knowledge was an added bonus that helped seal the deal. At least to Audriel, he was a very gentle and wellspoken, yet strong fellow. The Fortress just lost a well RP'd and disciplined warrior here.

I can see how I can be annoying...especially when I've been drinking and I overuse the cabal channel. Anyway you were a beast from what I saw and that one day on the mount when you were dropping obliterates like a fool was fun. Too bad I didn't have more time to rank with you. You had cool rp and gave me a good example of what a maran should be like (Will I ever make Maran? hehe) Well good luck with everything....if you had fun the character it was a success and you seemed to.
Good luck with your nexts yess?

Sorry, but taunting is part of the game (both IC and OOC with me and Kungy =P). Your legacy surprised me, which is what it's supposed to do. Sorry to see you go...fighting warriors is a welcome switch from the constant paladin battles that have been coming my way lately.

It seemed like you never tried to talk to me unless it was "see if gauntlets of ogre power are around?". Then after you would ask that, you wouldn't talk to me again. Other than that, I thought you did well, and you were a good maran. Too bad you didn't stick around, there are LOTS of other things I could have taught you about that place you got stuck in.

Good luck on the next.

Sorry about seeming like I was only ever asking for gear locates from you, but it just so happened that the three or four times I wound up completely naked after dying, you were around, so I asked. About "that place", I used to know it pretty well, but I forgot how to navigate it in the years since I have been there. Thanks for sending those potions!

I haven't gone anywhere, I think our times started changing just a tad and so we saw less of eachother, but I've been around about as much as always. I'm sad you're gone, I'd looked forward to spending more time interacting and trying to earn being a maran with you nearby. I'm glad you enjoyed the time we were together, and that you enjoyed the more lighthearted side of maran that he's trying to instill.

Good luck with your next!
