I liked Stefanie because you appeared to live honorably instead of just talk about it and twist the concept as so many others do. e.g. paladins who believe it dishonorable to have two people meleeing an enemy but perfectly honorable to have a couple of healers healing them whilst they pound on you solo. (Not died to these paladins so I'm not particularly biased, but even those who base themselves around honor have done it and I see it as little more than making a minimum concession to rp where you made a much greater one.)

Whilst I didn't get a chance to talk to Stefanie much, I really didn't see you as a very rational person at all. Things like jumping me in town when you had no chance of actually killing me did not strike me as something consistent with what one of Phaelim's followers would do. It struck me as a fruitless gesture, driven by emotion and not by reason. My view would be that it is better to keep your willingness to jump me in town until I'm bady hurt around you, and do it then, so that you accomplish something. That said, he tatted you and not me so your take on the religion is probably better than mine. I figure my view on it doesn't tie in with his.

Boy I took a liking to stefanie right away. PEople knocked you on your speech, but you know what, I liked your rp when we talked about stuff, and boy could you fight. the greatest thing was seeing you without specializations take on that invoker. If it werent for you I think i would have barely trained. Yeah we all make mistakes, and it becomes more evident when everyone is dead and gone. Good luck with the next

Truly, there is little to say less than.. you just rocked.. You always made things fun to be doing.. fun to train with as well.

The best part of mistakes, is learning to stand by them, learn from them and stick to the grind.. so you can die of old age, or con.. grin

Dieing of old age for ragers seems very much not too possible, con-death for all classes of ragers seems the most practical (and in the right spirit of things it seems.. go out fighting!)

Ah, I've finally come to pass... I knew it was coming soon.

First char I've ever con-died on, so I feel cool about it.
I had a great time, and work has been escalating to the point of needing me to mud less, but I bet the Scions and Empires didn't know that when they'd 5-8Gang me, so they just escalated my hopeful ability to get my work done. *grin*

Ah, to the folks of the world.

Hamashor - I know you just deleted, you are missed and will be!

Betraal - You deleted shortly after we both changed alignment, you completely rocked, I'm sorry things didn't work out for you.

Fhinsdry - You were always there as a fun playful friend from all throughout my life.

Janakt - You were quite aggressive and feisty.. and then I never saw you again...

Kerlos - You are dangerous on the dance floor (...dangerous! ) Tear up those scions/Empire, I always see you die in a 5 gang, but theres usually 3-4 other corpses which stand beside your own.

Jinroh - Way to lead us, and so gracious myself and many others are to get informed on unofficial that you are going to be away (that is really important to us, so we know not to sit around 'damnit, where is Jinroh!' etc.. people feel you lead the revolution on handspecs.. and I am sure you did for some, though I had picked my hands far before hand.

Elijsie - You are a true shadow warrior, always going for stealthy kills and well chosen (and sometimes mistakes we all do..) You were one of my most favorite allies.

Ayik - Way to go on leading off the religion, and quite the adaptation to the RP.. I wish you well leading tactically to extreme victory.

Narej - IC I really didn't care much for you, infact it was bordered on 'lets rank this guy so we can get him into the circle of rites and smack some sense into him' You were getting better there later on, but you have a long way to go it is seeming. Berserker does not mean senseless death.. need to take a step back.. spend more time on actionable learning instead of just death-based learning. I'd love for you to be great and powerful, but in the eyes of many you are just a little child-zerker who has a long way to go before getting off of peoples hate-list, and even farther to get into their respecting eyes.

Dilerath - You seem to be improving, you're some notches over Narej... but do what you can to be the best you can be. I'd like for you to grow and not die like me.

Sabiene - I was hardpressed in the beginning to be a berserker.. and you convinced me (partly as my role dictated it of me) to go Scout.. in a way, I would have liked to try the world of 'zerkers with Stef, but it was a fun journey, glad we had those talks earlier in life.

Phaelim - You really let me go running in the beginning, loved the interactions, both good and bad.. always lead to some kind of learning and excitement (except for those bored times, where I was either lagged, or unable to speak for whatever reason, and we'd just end them) You are quite the asset that the mud hasn't had in IMM form til this point.

Empire/Scion.. Gang much?

But seriously. Some of you were cool, good honorable fighters who handled well.. though not much of it is coming to mind.

Calheil - I'm glad I fought you (and respectively killed you) because it gave me a tactical boost in my mind, that I was able to coordinate your death, without a gang of multiple attackings at once. Yea, you lost your wave dancer.. but don't go jacking villagers if you don't want to get bitten and smitten.

Krithasi/Nazzryn/Nynnycnno - Damn, its like you are all the same person.. always in a nice gang, I'm not sure if I ever fought any of you alone. I've been looted far too many times, far too often by the lot of you, so it only serves that the occasional death you take could reclothe the naked village which gets hit by your 5+vs1 gangs.

Empire in general - I'm sorry, since Yanaceks rule came to an end, the Empire has really gone down hill.. Though I hadn't been hit by a gang by them in a while.

Scion in general - Since their shadowed supreme leader came to an end.. I'd have to honestly say.. When he was in power, I NEVER knew who was fricking scion, but then once it changed hands, you all became public.. sort of defeating the whole point of scion's secrecy.. way too exposed... Wish you'd stay secretive and powerful like Shadow use to be in the first age.

Lemath - Oh, how can I forget you.. We fought a lot of times. If not for your guards, there was always a level of certainity to kill you. Maintaining my solo 1vs1 courage/honor against you would almost guarantee me (being spear/hands) that I would NEVER get to kill you, because you'd just leap away anyway. Good times and interactions though.

Love how I get grouped in with the Empire/Scion bunch. But, anyways, what I find aggravating is the fact that yes, no more than one villager ever attacked me, but it's hardly a 1-1 fight. It's like the gladiatorial deathmatches where he gets to fight one person, and after that one, another, and after that another. It was supposed to be all glorious, but it's just a death sentence. This, from the cabal who's supposed to be able to handle their own battles. You and I's few little quarrels had nothing to do with Battle, yet every time after the Galadon issue, the other ragers were always helping you out. Something that utterly screws a thief with my skills, which is what most aggravated me. Shame the con was low. Always fun to have a few bitter rivalries running around.

Aye, I liked it in one way.. It would not have been so bad, if you hadn't handed me over to the Tribunals.. that just won't do.

I was a tactician by role and by character, and you were a thief as thieves would be.. My only chance to try to put you in place for a victory to prevent similar things from happening... was to put you down. You'd do the same thing (and had) if you had knocked me out.

since Fleeing was inevitable, I had to make sure that fleeing would not be in your favor. Certainly.. had you stayed and fought.. you would have fought only me.. but the instant you flee you'd run away (impale lag is a pain)

It was fun though, that did give me that little boost I hadn't had in a while, since I never get to fight anyone one on one at all, let alone 2 or so on one (even flee fight gladiator battles.. I wouldn't mind those.. but scions/empire don't seem to understand anything but brute KILL WITH FULL SANCT/SHIELDS/TRANSIE SPELLS/BARD SONGS IN A LARGE GROUP ..

Cmon Scions.. Who do you think you are, the Fortress?

I knew it was gonna happen soon but I didn't want it to. With you around I always knew there was goin to be some excitement and I knew that you wouldn't come with one or two others inless I had one or two others, so it was nice to see strict honor from a Rager, which I do see often, though some are lacking if that is indeed what they are headed for. I could always count on a fair fight with you and I always needed it, you were a pain to say the least and I don't ever think we killed each other directly. Your impale got me once, though I'da lived if not for a fiend which took me down a bit before I got rid of it. Well done on the character and had you not been a Rager I think I would of rushed in on them Scions and gave em a taste of the ole' lemur Anyhow, it was great and I loved the character in many ways. When I first met you I didn't know you were a Rager because you didn't attack me in town, always thought you just a lonely warrior till we talked. The whole not attacking in town thing sorta changed at least from my point of view, but I think that made me like you even more. Well done and good luck on the next.

Lemath

P.S. I don't want you to feel left out, so.......make the next one a Trib

Well, thanks.

Gotta promote the honor... I still have the old-old-old rager beliefs of honor... as this was my first Rager ever.

For as long I had played CF I had always wanted to be in each Cabal (the core cabals.. I dont count new crap like sylvan/outlander/etc)

And as far back as in the first age, I was always intrigued by Ragers/masters. Well, since masters are gone, and prior to stef, my previous 30 characters were Master/Warlocks.. I finally took the edge to play the world of ragers which I enjoyed. And still in that.. I like the true fight, no-lag, lets fight it out to the death, or a really needed flee.. not this bash/trip/pincer/lash constantly in massive gangbangs.

As to your request for making a trib.. it'll take a lot for that mindset.. Only once since I was in Justice did I tread down that path as Sonia the Arbiter.. and well.. I messed up the arbiters enough when I was disbanded when my ethos changed from lawful to neutral

The tribs still seem too bloodthirsty to me.. though you hold up a good old representation of the law.

The only thing which drove me absolutely insane with the undeniable urge to kill kill kill and kill more (even though I did not have a character in your range), was that esay 'says with a strategem'. Please Explain.

I was experimenting with some RP stuff with her, and I had just learned for the first time, multi-word esay's (which i've seen others do, but never exactly knew how it was done)

As time went on, my esay changed after that, until it eventually went away completely, and then death.

Battle is going to be a whole lot of fun with the number of heros at a steady decline.

From the little interaction we had, I thought you were pretty well played. Although, that one raid we went on together just sucked for everyone. Hopefully you'll make another Villager, to reinforce us of course.

Good luck with your next,

Meetings planned all weekend, and then back to my regular work-job on tuesday morning of doing audits.. oh the fun. :)

So, yea I'd like to try to play again, but so much work and side-work related stuff needs to get done, feh!

Why can't we all just become independantly wealthy and sell strange bracers on ebay!

You were a great rager and I always enjoyed you being around. Con deathing a villager is one of the better achievements in the mud. Because you have to deal with the despair of dying so many times and not always getting the reward of victory, especially when the head is gone. You stuck with it and for that, and many other things, I tip my hat off to you.

Ganging is something that will never go away. And people will always get together with their buddies, or coordinate log on times to gang, its unfortunate. Some of the best fights I have ever had on this mud are through one on one fights. I just hope some day the kids of ganging decide to grow up and try fighting alone. It is way more exhilerating and rewarding, and you learn so much more than, "bash, bash, trip, bash, trip, pincer, etc." You actually learn how to defeat someone with what you got instead of overwhelming the random number generator with 14 attacks a round. A couple have to hit just by odds right?

I am one of those people that when I am leader people deserve to know when I'm not going to be around so they don't wonder. I lead a pretty hectic life as well and sometimes it interfers with my mudding times, and I don't think people should be left wondering. I hope me running off to do real life stuff didn't cause you too much suffering. Also know that our times didn't mesh much but I knew you were out there fighting the good fight, as I was, just at a different time.

Make another rager, it would be interesting to see you as a zerker, but do know, defender is the best .

When I first write my role for Stef (which I do before I even start rolling the char) I had thought it all through, to be a tactician, spear/hands spec with flow of shadows (and possibe random other legacy) and I was going to be a rager.

I wanted to be a berserker though, when I rolled up.
Because it was something I thought rarely happens.. that being a berserker tactician.. kind of an oxymoron of types, but I wanted to aim to pull it off. After talks with Sabiene that changed, but I still stood to my self and my character.. and I guess I played a little too berserkerish (or so I felt) because I did end up dieing the con-death.

I was always impressed by Jinroh, whether you were barking out orders and demands or just general things. Even when the tide was down and the situation was bad, you were always like some supreme diety pulling off mass kills and survival.. it was wild.. The kind of vision I always had of battle (looking at it from the outside)

I'd love to play another rager.. I never really knew how to get in for years and years and years, and I know I barely made it in until you sort of led me in a bit to let me in, making this my first rager.

As all my master/warlocks, I always respected the village (except for the long-ago times when we'd be raided/ganged 8+ to 1 mage, etc..)

And especially when I had Sonia the uber-wench of Arbiters.
I'd always offer the death to the ragers honorably, one on one without guards (being the first polearm spec, they were done-for to ever think about winning the fight) But I personally love the village.

And getting a comment from you is up there with the ranks of IMM comments on the PB, or even imm comments on the char.
Thats the kind of respect which I (and others) have for your char and your kind of place.

Thanks!

I really, really enjoyed experimenting with legacies with you. Gave me a lot of fruit for thought, regarding any potential future warriors. And I really am sorry about leading you into fly-exit places.

Oh, and I'm REALLY glad you ditched the esays. You went from cheesy to cool that quickly.

Yea, I enjoyed the legacy this and that and so many other things as well as the practicing (not as much the dieing, but it happens. )

As I said before too.. the esays was the first time I knew about multi-word esays.. and eventually I felt, that I was set in my place (all part of role development, char design/etc.. just feeling out the things..)

So, for my first villager and longtime (last 5 years, primarily playing mages) think I faired pretty well?

When time frees up from work/life/stuff I plan on making another rager then as well.
