Vlaug-

Everytime that you logged on all I would see was:

Vlaugniur: ENEMY1 DEAD

Vlaugniur: ENEMY2 DEAD

Vlaugniur: ENEMY3 DEAD

Vlaugniur: ENEMY4 DEAD

Maybe you died as much as you killed, but I really liked always having you around.

Great job and good luck with your next!

Sometimes it seemed like the enemies would just lay there for me to kill them and I'd get 5 or so kills that log in. Then I'd be dry for a couple days and die a bunch. Ahh, the fun of being a villager. Thanks for helping me out a few of those times.

This is truely unfortunate. Why?!

Vargal had a lot of respect for you. Something Vargal doesn't throw around too much.

You're going to be missed.

Goodluck on your next, if there is one.

Carrion Fields is the mother of roleplaying/player killing games. Thanks everyone for the interactions. Village powers are awesome and I can't complain about them at all. After having played a villager, I won't complain about them being overpowered though either because they give up a lot for the powers. I will say that I ran into a ton of characters who were just oozing ooc in conversations and it kinda sucked. You kill a foe one day, return all his gear and he says 'well fought'. You kill that same foe a couple days later, full loot him and he suddenly is ranting and raving about dishonor. Your foes are constantly telling you how a villager should fight. I don't recall ever telling a mage how to use their spells. Anyone want to post any criticism, I'd really appreciate it, this being my first villager and all. The forums seem like the place to tell people how to play a villager, not IC where it stinks of ooc rage. Anyways, that's my rant. Thanks for the fun, all.

I was thinking of getting that log out where you fought myself, Celebrimbor, and Medellia. It showed some perfect villager, maran, and acolyte RP. It also was a nice little precision strike.

From that point I was pretty impressed. It's always refreshing to see a villager berserker with RP. I know how much crap you have to give up just to get those sick powers. It's very tempting to just leave a death trail on eastern road, and even harder to refrain from smacking people down if your role requires. I agree as well that villagers face a lot of unfair criticism and OOC rage from other players.

Good dwarven speech and RP restraint, there. I hope more berserkers can maintain role like that. It's not easy.

that you hope would bury you instead of you having to bury them. You were one of them. I could tell that this was your first villager, but I also could tell that you were a very good player. You took the berserker role well, despite its obvious difficulties I placed upon it. Well done with that.

I enjoyed fighting with you and assisting you when I could, in all aspects of war, tactics, and just village life in general. I also enjoyed learning things from you, which is one of the great draws of this game, you are always learning if you are willing to look. Thanks for that. Good luck with what is next and take care.

Is not the same as acts of cowardice. Again I point you to you trying to kill me after you saw I had an axe and a shield. And not only that, calling in the bard for backup in case I try to flee. Or if not calling him in, certainly not telling him 'this one's mine. I've been playing this game long enough to know which direction someone is heading on the way to the wastes. You speak of OOC rage, but your decision to try and multikill seemed like OOC desire for a pk ratio hook up.

That said, you are one of the few enemies who bothered talking to me, and I liked that. I was hoping that we could get past the taunts to some real meaty discussions, but I guess it was not to be.

I didn't say anything to the bard about you being there. The only thing I said on the cabal channel about you was to find out if you were scion. He obviously had peeked south of the crossroads, saw you, and started running toward us. I didn't even notice him there until you fled and quaffed out.
Also... I attacked you the moment I found out you were a scion, not the moment I saw you were wearing crap for gear. You should have been aware of that too, since I looked at you early on, then talked to you for a while.
Remember, when you assume it makes an ASS out of U and ME.

it seemed like the only way to explain to you why I attacked you. You kind of bullied me into it by claiming I was in it for the pk ratio boost. If you want to get an IMP to delete the posts, that's fine.

Wasn't it you who posted against "censorship" and "anonymity"? Invited everyone to include your name? To complain about revelations now is just hypocricy.

I agree your character should be revealed ic, but I'm not the one who made a stand against censorship.

I appreciate that the sentiment is different. However, the end result is not very different, whether someone had to read a few logs to find stuff out or simply had the information distilled and set out for them. Anyway, without rehashing that old argument...

I don't play very often these days. A lot of characters have deleted with over 200 hours that seemed really new to me. (i.e. it feels that I saw them as lowbies very recently in my character's life). I probably won't reveal my current character when I delete. I might, but probably not. It's interesting seeing the speculation when a character isn't revealed (and no, I wasn't Yanacek). Of course, first I have to do something noteworthy which again relies on putting in some more time. I don't think I've explicitly said the last few characters I played, though I have mentioned it in my posts. Nothing remarkable about them. Denoreli the elf-dagger spec was one (rolled to test some new legacies and autodeleted at lvl43 which gives an idea of my playing frequency) and Hargustin was another (arial necro - deleted at level 40 something - main purpose to see if I could be evil in practice).

I didn't mean for things to blow up the way they did between us. I thought our conversations in character were cool and could have led somewhere interesting. Your RP and your character is excellent but you don't need me to tell you that. I just felt like you were bombing me on dioxide's and here so I got defensive, so I'm sorry about that too.

Well, you surprised me. I sure wasn't expecting to see you delete last night. Thanks for the bits of gear, you know how it slips through your fingers with alarming regularity as a berserker.

When Jinroh had you fight the bard to get inducted and you lost, I was disappointed -- not in you, just that I thought you might run off and disappear, and I really wanted some company. I was one of the only berserkers at that point. I'm really glad you stuck with it; you turned out to be a better warrior than me.
