I figure its time I reply although for some reason I was left out (cough). I absolutly loved your char in the end when I finally began to understand you. You wouldn't back down for nothin and thats what I wish more villagers would rp made me smile really big seeing you back up your brothers no matter what, even when you didn't have a clue what was happening its that blind faith and dedication that made your char Great. I will miss you but I am sure we will see eachother again in the future. Oh and I still have a log or two of our duals if you would like.

Sorry, it was 4:30 in the morning and I was very tired. Zylunduk impressed me every bit, though your way of speaking still leaves something to be desired (not stopping to breathe, heh?). I think you make a Noldarian Smith, especially with my minor interaction with Thror. I think it was interesting how a Smith could get along with a Duergar, but it worked out fine. Not only that, but you kicked alot of ass. I remember you backing me up against 5 Imperials and saying over cabal channel "Dont worry, Im fine". I thought to myself, "damn that guy is tough". I tried to repay you when you would get ganged, but I don't think I ever got to. Regardless, a fine character, worthy of a spot on the Council. I also highly respect your decision to step down from Commander - I give you big regards OOC for that. Glad you enjoyed my character!

And pretty much impressed that Kackrik was your first hero.
Just as an example, I've never seen anyone so psyched about their legacy choices -- especially Harmonious (not to mention they're both passive) -- you must have really enjoyed the total experience. Great to see.

I thought you were a really awesome character. Arguing and telling each other off was hilarious. I still think the footstool thing was a great idea :-x. I also loved sitting in the Village and having you say "<> is dead" then 5 min later "<> is dead" You were alot of fun and this is a great blow to the Village.

I thoroughly enjoyed our battles, it is always fun matching pure defensive spec on offense. One thing that scared the #### out of me was when I had you impaled and boneshattered and was thinking..there is no way he is still holding his weapons..no way. But you were and you handed my ass to me on a silver platter.

Holy crap.
I think I rolled this character in August or something, with a few intentions of mine. I aimed to impress with this character. I remember after Kriack died, I turned to my friend and said "One day, when I get really good at CF, I'm going to make a Duergar Villager who kicks ass". Well, hopefully this was him. This was, after all, my first hero. At first, I decided I wanted to hero him. Then, I decided, I wanted in Battle. Then with that, came numerous other desires: title, lastname, tat and hopefully immort/pillar. (by the way! If you want to immort, MAKE SURE YOU PESTER THE IMMORTALS! AGH!E#@) This time in my life, I have ALOT of free time. There would 7 hour spans of gametime a *DAY*, based on this character - which also stemmed from the fact that I loved roleplaying Kackrik so very much.
IC: ------
Kackrik was my favourite character to roleplay ever. There have been many MUD's before this one, with memorable characters on them, but Kackrik is by far the best. The way I played him was quite simple: think of an irishmen mixed with a tiger. His sphere was Dedication and I attempted to roleplay it to its max. There would be times when I would have to stop myself from doing something that would benefit my character, because it cut my roleplay (for example, getting along with people! Ha!). I would usually argue for argues sake, this was very obvious. There were many times I was wrong with my arguing, but what everyone must understand is that it was all in my role. He believed everyone and everything was out to get him. So if your not on his side, then your against him. He would swear his ass off, just like I do in real life - only in medievel esque dwarf talk. I would make sure I went out of my way to disgust, belittle, piss off, anger, irritate and generally annoy everyone I got to know. It was all in the role, baby
Kackrik hated everyone/everything. Being Chaotic Evil, but sphere Dedication, proved to be quite an odd mix. On one hand, I didn't care about anything. On the other hand, I cared about something so much that I was willing to DIE for it. I believe this mixed well with Battle. At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to join the cabal - its certainly not easy. Then I began to progress, speak with some of the members (Slathigern and Sardinthal come to mind) and generally became impressed with it. My induction was quite easy, actually . I, of course, am not complaining about this. However, I believe Sabiene gave me quite alot of credit back then - even if I didn't really get to what I wanted to do.
OOC ----
Kackrik was such a goddamned brain tiring character to roleplay, sometimes I would get tired just playing him. My brain ran at at least 1200billionRPS trying to figure out what to do with this character next. After reaching hero, I could never keep him AFK - as explained to one friend of mine, he was the (WANTED) man of Thera. As well, Battle is quite possibly the busiest cabal (ESPECIALLY WITH THE EMPIRE WAR) to play at. There were times when I would have to leave my console, or quit out sporadically, simply because of OOC reasons. My household is very unstable and I'm going to keep it at that. I apologize ahead of time to the IMM's and Battle members that would get disappointed in me going afk/leaving. However, I tried my absolute best to play this character to its full potential. Mind me if I say, I believe I succeeded.
Kackrik grew over a very long period of time. I gleaned/scammed a job in early October, not allowing me to play MUD. I played CS instead, but after the job fell through I found myself floating back to the mysterious Duergar of sphere Dedication. After I joined Battle, it was such a rollercoaster ride of gaming.. I don't know if I can play an FPS again. For example, when I played Kackrik, I simply couldn't pay attention to anything else. My parents/brother/annoyances would ask me for something and it was as if some flea was pecking at my ear. I would ignore IRC (chat program for my CS clan) for hours at a time, while I played Kackrik. I even yelled at my brother who told me about a job interview, because he interrupted my raid on the Empire
All in all, I'm glad I played him. I'm sort of pissed off I didn't get to immort, but as I found out tonight - it was completely my fault. Once again, if you wish to immort a character.. *-> HARASS THE IMMS <-*. I'll be back though and I'll be helping Asgaard out someway.. just with a different character.
(On a side note, man its hard to let go )
Mechanics: ----------
Kackrik was similar to the way I do math. I have a good question and somehow a good answer comes out of it. Completely by random chance and thought, Kackrik's stats/mechanics worked out perfectly. For those of you who were guessing, his two Legacies were Harmonious and Ward of blades. His specs were axe and mace. I picked his specs out because I always heard about the 'axe/mace giant'. The "tank" of CF, so to speak. Now, I made a character previously just to check out the way a mace spec worked. I was impressed. Axe on the other hand, is quiet possibly one of the best specs in the game.. I'm not sure if any of my warriors are going to stray from it for long
The legacies were there for an obvious reason: to patch up a hole. My defenses completely sucked ass. Tanking with axe without the phys resist is similar to stopping a mack truck with a lunch box. Though mace is a slightly better defensive spec, it certainly did not provide the protection I needed. So, I chose Ward of blades. It worked out great. I don't think I can count on my hands/feet/calculator how many times these legacies completely saved my ass. When the Imperials hoarde came crawling, I could walk out because bashes would lag for 1 round instead of 4, pincer 1 instead of 2. When Oblain would bash me with his big axes, I would just parry it all and walk away with a few scratches. Man, those are so damned nice legacies. Coupled with the Duergar tanking ability, resist magic/detect hidden, berserker path in Village, I think my character rounded itself out nicely.
Well, though I really hate to say it, here are my goodbyes.
Battle -------
You still reign supreme as the best cabal in the game. Even after trying Empire and Scion, I still can't find a cabal that kicks as much ass as Battle. There is a sort of 'brotherhood' in Battle, because of the adversity it faces. Though there are many misconceptions about 'honor' or 'words', I still think Battle is the best. You rock!
Sabiene: You were like a mom to Kackrik. After the rites (where I completely sucked, might I add), I was actually going to delete. I roleplayed it, of course, but your roleplay turned out very nicely - and I kept my character. I thank you for this, because without your help and guidance I wouldn't have been able to do what I could. Your con quest owned me hard, leaving me with but one life left. Then again, it was my first - so I felt pleased when I actually completed it. Heres my hats off to you. I really wanted to immort *BADLY* with this character, I suppose I disappointed you in this aspect. Next time you want someone to join you, just make sure you inform them that they are allowed to pester the other immortals about it.. notes, prays, etc. I think Battle owes alot to you, you are definately a good immortal for it. Cheers to you, see you on the next
Kastellyn: Sorry for placing you second here, but Sabiene was first on my mind. Initially I sort of contemplated your religion. I wondered if Kackrik would be able to fit in it and how I'd be able to accomplish it if so. Eventually, it all fell into place with my Undaunted title. I hope I impressed you, as well, I'll give you a million dollars to put me on the Pillar. Oh, I mean, you were a fun guy to roleplay with and I'm glad you got time from/off work to interact with Village. I'd like to tell you something though. My character wanted on the Pillar for both IC reasons and OOC reasons. I (jaynus/james) made the Pillar something out for a goal to myself. Imagine if I could get my first hero on the pillar? I asked myself. So eventually, it came to me that I should just try out. By the time you tat'd me, I had about 5/6 con left - which frustrated me. I really wanted to play out a religion to immort later, but its hard to do when I had like 5-6 con left. Its not your fault, your times are a hella lot different then mine. Though its my first hero, I don't want pity - so if don't put me on the Pillar, its ok I guess. I just sort of wanted it as a reminder that even though I'm still a newb at this game, I could be IC'ly remembered as someone as good a player as Tobeldest or Thror. Your religion is definately something to look for and play along with - its great and I commend you on the idea. I hope that I did everything you wanted me to. By the way, did you do the emotes at the Inn when I told stories?
Grogim: Though we didn't talk much, I felt your watching gaze on me sometimes. I know you especially liked when I held out against those Scions, five against me. I like your character alot, he has flavour and the dwarf talk is undefeatable. Though your not VIS much, I'm sure your around more then you let on. Thanks for the chats and the inspiration.
Thror: Damn! I thought our characters would get along just fine, but it seemed that you didn't show up much. That's fine. I hope I get to talk to you some other time, I think my next is going to be a Thror tat
Immortal who ran goblin child quest: Oh man, that thing made me laugh so hard.. I fell of my chair. Whoever it is, speak up! I'll have your head on a toaster I say Sorry I didn't follow through with it much, but I enjoy any immteraction anyway it comes. Even in the form of a stinking little goblin child. Cheers.
Zhelrantix: You and me were quite an odd couple, don't you think? I know I gave you a few grey hairs (ic/ooc?), but you have to understand - that was my character. I knew you would win the rites the second they were announced. The cry/flurry is nearly unbeatable for us small little duergars. In the end, the Empire war sort of united us and I really wanted to see that through. However, I died the same day you called me Captain. Sorry for that, but I couldn't help it. Keep the Village strong, you make a fine Commander.
Juktar: Oh man, you left me to the Village! I liked your character immensly. Juktar was a good guy to have around, never worried or cared about what anyone else thought - something Kackrik could look up to. Your loss is still missed by the Village, though I tried to take your spot.
Sardinthal: Great character. I remember ranking with you and Sharnd when we got ambushed by tribunals. Me and Sharnd got away, but you ran back saying on group talk 'MAGES MUST DIE'. Your character was an inspiration to mine. Your strength in the face of adversity gave him something to look for in himself, something he eventually found.
Slathigern: Damn. You left before I could get to fight alongside you, but I thought your roleplay was superb. I wanted to see if you'd make another one of your infamous Villagers.. but I guess I missed it (?).
Ghullth/Drahkul: Damn x 2. I tried keeping your character sane throughout the arguments of the Village. Not having a commander around to settle disputes certainly is a problem. I felt that you were still stuck in Drahkul's shoes, something of a leadership position. Though I wanted you to succeed alongside me, you left. Regardless, I thought your character was 'fun' - something different from all the 'badasses' or 'secret mysterious guys' that I constantly interact with. See you around
Thrakadan: Didn't interact much. You kicked my ass, dammit!
Broghelan: I was such a bad luck charm. Man that made my tummy warm when you said that.
Flaerglum: Oh man. Here was one of the characters that I hated OOC, but liked IC. I tried not displaying my dislike for you in my character, but I fear some of it seeped out. You were quite the moron, not understanding Village rules, ordering people around to their deaths and all around just making bad decisions. I really hoped yuo got demoted, but you deleted instead. Ah well, stop having a pickle in your ass and you'll do fine! =D
Tykrul: Didn't interact with you much, though I thought you would make a great Captain.
Guardlon: I said all I needed to say on your death message. You came in making ME think that I didn't know anything. That's not a way to approach people.
Jinroh: You came alongside Guardlon, so I sort of grouped with you together. However, when I would log on late nights/early mornings, you would be there - with a mass amount of corpses around you. You gained my respect later on, as your roleplay of honor something akin to Vassagon shined through. Respects and I hope you enjoyed my character (boy that sounds lame)
Rahno: Heh, sometimes I felt like you fashioned your character after mine. You had balls to the wall, sometimes in complete opposite of orders, something I respected. Keep your wits about you and you'll go places. I also enjoyed arguing with you constantly over the cabal channel, it sort of drew a funny picture in my head of two dirty duergar bickering whilst a giant sits there shaking his head in dismay. Ha!
Vexoffesz: Didn't think I'd forget about you, did I? Your character sort of pissed mine off at the starting, but instantly I admired your mute roleplay. As well, when you joined, I finally realized just how powerful a combination we are together. A drow defender utility/maladict with a duergar berserker beast-thing is such a killer combo. I remember that day we killed 5 people in like an hour, ha! I hope you don't get pissed that I died on you and I doubly hope you stay in Battle. Your a good character, a smart one (though I tend to boss people around alot, you were no exception), knows battle and Battle well, something alot of people could look for in a defender. Sorry for pissing you off sometimes, with going AFK or getting pissed at you for not doing stuff - That's sort of an OOC trait of mine that I try to cover up. You were the closest thing to a friend to Kackrik. Being a Dark-elf, that is not an easy thing to accomplish. Stick with it dood, have fun.
The rest is mostly young ones who I didn't interact with much. If I forgot you, sorry and reply! I will make sure I reply!
Maran: -------
Edit: 4:40: Beltantis you rocked. I'm too tired to write another paragraph though, but just know I liked your rp.
Lariya and Jirash come to mind, though it was all mostly the same stuff. You all impressed me with your roleplay, though the same cookie cutter 'Im the hate evil baddies!' crap is sometimes thrown up. Skallgrim comes to mind when I think of Fort members who actually would talk to me. Lariya, I hope you enjoyed my little story at the Inn.. it showed you wouldn't wrath me on sight. Other then that, not much interaction - you were definately a thorn in my side.
(ex)Sylvan: ------------
I remember when I killed Flarkle in one shot on eastern. That time I didn't log it, because I didn't think he was anyone important. Regardless, you were also a thorn in my side - though less of one. Pelthaas, enjoyed the little 'romance' joke we had going. Voronil, Ir emember you when you were young and thought you wouldn't make it past 20. Nice work all, too bad on the cabal. I think the IMM's are going to treat you soon though!
Tribunal --------
One of the cabals I hated both IC and OOC. The only one Tribunal that I fought/interacted with alot and had respect for was Kelrizza. She reminded me of the Aei Sedai I've come to loathe in the books I'm reading. Though you sort of broke IC and said "Kackrik couldnt kill anything without battle powers" one day, I ignored that and took your roleplay as is. I was impressed and I hope the megear times I killed you somehow gave you respect for me. Oblain.. glad your dead.
Empire -------
While we're on the topic of cabals I hated..
The Empire.. bah. I have alot of vicious and biting words I'd like to say, but I'll just censor myself for now. I'd say about 98% of you are blubbering morons who couldn't do anything alone. Noted exceptions are Kardok, Varik and Yanacek. I fought alongside you guys alot when I was younger (mainly the Emperor), even helped you kill a few Marans. When the much-needed war began, you simply shone through with your infamous gangbanging. I remember a few days ago, dying to 6 Imperials. That is just bloody pathetic. I don't expect you to have honor code or what not, but 6 on 1? Can you give me a goddamned break or what? If I saw this sort of #### on the MUD I owned before, I'd just all give you one skill (the tank had parry, damager had second attack etc) and let you stir for a bit. I have no respect for any of you, save some, and I'm sure its the same way. Kackrik hated you so much, he'd do anything to see you dead. Gangbanging, hiring help, he didn't care. I feel the same way and I'm never making an Imperial again.
Scion -----
Of all (two) cabals Battle wars with, I had the most respect for you. You have an odd role nowadays, something akin to a space between a rock (battle) and a hard place (fort).
Etarekoth: I killed you alot, didn't I? I always thought good of you, someone who took the losses well and didn't whine (though I imagine you smashed your keyboard when you died last night to the outer guard, ROFL!). You make an excellent Chancellor, it was a pleasure fighting you. You were one of the few people I had respect for OOC, simply because of your way of playing and roleplaying. Good luck with Scion, don't be too mean on Battle now
Ilivarra: I remember seeing you at the Inn at level 25 with a Zurcon tat. I was like, what the hell? I instantly made it my mission to kill you, something that certainly wasn't easy. I think you killed me once, or maybe twice, but I know I got you three times. You would come alone sometimes, other times not - regardless, you play a good Zurcon applicant.
Kwalin: I hate invokers. I really, really, really, really, really, really, hate invokers. Quicksand is complete and utter overpowered CRAP.. but I'll leave that for another day. I had respect for you up to the day you dropped link (two days before the drop link code was placed) to avoid dying. I have proof of this, by the way. Its sort of odd when I cranial, you drop link, you wimpy, you return link and recall. I lost all respect for you that day.
Vanar, Zwick: Though I didn't interact with you much, you were both sort of a 'training ground' for my character to work on.. Vanar especially. I really really hate.. well you get the picture. Thanks for the fights. Zwick, too bad you deleted.
Herald: --------
Every character I make, I always make sure to drop by the Inn. I think Herald's do alot for this game and I try to show my appreciation and respect. Kackrik was no exception. I always dropped in when I was bored, to share stories or drink up a storm.
Soucivi: Kackrik began to think of you as something of a 'wench', though I don't want you to get insulted by this. You are a great roleplay, I REALLY enjoyed story telling at the Inn. Thanks for the poem, it was cool. Keep it up, Herald's (and especially the High Herald) deserve the utmost respect. I hope you get the story done, good luck with going through the work!
Well, that seems like its all. I seek out to learn things with my characters and I learned ALOT with this one. I think I'm done with warriors for a while. They seem to take up all my goddamned time! Thanks for the interactions *EVERYONE* in this game, because the community is what makes it fun. Immortals - you rock, enough said? It's 4:30 eastern and I'm really bloody tired. Once again (this is the last time I'm saying it). If you want to immort, PESTER THE IMMORTALS! Bah, I'm never writing a request immort note IC again. Post and I'll for sure reply back. Keep in mind, that this was my first hero. So all the 'go to hell newbie' flames will be ln -s'd to /dev/null. <-- thats for Zulghinlour, keep on truckin'
Peace everyone, I'm tired - Jaynus
Kriack, the Axe Swinging Ally of the Boss Liraura the female conjurer, heh Mitrikpq the mace experiment
and finally.. something I can be proud of

- Immortal who ran goblin child quest: Oh man, that thing made me laugh so hard.. I fell of my chair. Whoever it is, speak up! I'll have your head on a toaster I say Sorry I didn't follow through with it much, but I enjoy any immteraction anyway it comes. Even in the form of a stinking little goblin child. Cheers.
Guilty as charged! Glad you enjoyed it. I'm not sure why I did that, but it sure made me laugh like crazy as well. It's good to see that when I feel like doing something completely lunatic, others will roleplay along with it.
Liked your character, fun to watch and interact with.

You know, I thought that it was your style to do that! You seem to have a knack for picking off my little duergars, now don't you? I especially liked when the goblin guards killed themselves in one shot off a failed impale!

Well we had quite a history. I loathed fighting you. Without me getting help I generally had no chance against you, or most any rager with half a brain for that matter. Ragers who would thirst and spellbane were my bane. I did own you pretty well initially but once you started doing that none of our fights were even close.
In regards to your accusation. I have and continue to reconnect to clear my buffer. Most recently I've done it when I was spamming spells and someone spoke to me. I disced and reconnected so I could reply without casting 20 spells or so. I am almost certain I wasn't playing CF in the time period you specified, but I geuss it's possible ... I was very busy and distracted with real life matters around the time the days around when the drop-link lag went in. Also know that several times while I've played Kwalin (and others) my friggin client crashed when toggling between sessions, and seeing as I switch most often during PK's... well if I appeared to disc,it may not have been intentional.
But whether you respect me or not is rather moot. I continually lost more and more respect for you as our history developed. First we go ranking and 5 ranks or so later you get together with a ranger and try to kill me. Alright, maybe that's part of his roleplay to be a backstabbing bastard I say. Then you mysteriously become a rager. I tried talking with a few ragers regarding our previous history. Either you lied to them if they asked about it or the leadership i talked to just didn't care. Then came all the crazy gangs in non-raid situations. I had always thought ragers were supposed to be courageous/brave but our history as well as my history with most other ragers has lead me to believe that I'm either mistaken in that belief or that recently the village has strayed from that philosophy.
I also harbored a bit of a hope that since I rarely looted ragers very much that whenever you killed me it'd be worth my time to go back to my corpse, never was.. even if I had a significant ammount of non-magic gear. I will admit though, the reason why I rarely looted ragers much was because I had too much #### on me to carry your stuff so I really don't have much room to gripe
All in all you ruled me way worse than I did you. For that, much props. Also it may please you to know that you probably accounted for at least 2/3 of my total PK deaths. I don't think the fort got me above once if that... and chiefly my rager deaths were all to you. In respect for being a sheer beast you were very well played, excellent pker.
If you like adversity you need look no farther than fortress or scion right now.
Well, see you around.

Ragers don't necessarily have to be "im the hate magic" from the very beginning of their characters. As I said before, Kackrik just sort of adopted and grew the way he did. As for backstabbing, that was on purpose. I told the ranger when we would fight the mob, so I could cranial you and hold you long enough that you would die. The times you died, I would only take the magical gear (and stuff I needed).. if you came alone. Most of the time we fought, it would either be me with someone or you with someone and woe to the one who ganged Kackrik and lost, he would lose all his equipment for it.
I understand bad links, believe me - my cable ISP still has something to be desired. However, I thought that time just a little shifty. Regardless, have fun fighting the fort.

The biggest thing that sticks out in my mind are the six or so times that I was in a battle on Eastern, and right after I had slain my foe, you came up and looked at me. The three times I was beat up, you attacked me, the three times I was over 80%, you walked off before I was even out of flurry lag. Not that that's a bad tactic for an Imperial, but Kackrik didn't seem like the kind of person through his roleplay that would only try to pick off a cheap kill. Then, when you were talking crap to me at the Inn, and I had enough, so I threw on a sapphire periapt and started casting spells in front of you, I was very surprised you didn't attack me. Other than those... seven instances though, well played. I was very impressed that day that you survived about four times when Parilon and I came after you at the Destructor. Damned invokers putting quicksand in the wrong spot, heh. Anyway, good luck with the next. Kardok

Kardok was one who could kill Kackrik, easily. He began to loathe and hate all the giant flurrying machines around him, simply because there was not a single damned thing I could do! It's like fighting Paladins..
Regardless, Kackrik had no respect for any Imperial. If you were hurt and just been ganged by marans, he would walk up and (attempt to) shove an axe up the said-Imperial's ass. This has nothing to do with the Village, or at least it didn't.. until the war began. Kackrik wages war differently then most - think of him like a celt. Thanks for the good mention, though.

OOC I liked Kackrik, and I really enjoyed the fights we had. However, you always just seem to remember the ones where you were killing ourcenturions and got blasted for it, or you were coming to get the head. What frustrated me most, was just that I never saw you when I was just walking alone, or, I'd be ready to fight you and Vexoffesz would start something up.
IC Dryzzel didn't like you much, though he had respect for you. He saw you as a traitor, as someone who ranked with him growing up quite a bit. Someone he equipped and helped get gear for. Perhaps you don't remember any of that, but I wish I had a log. You whined a lot when we were growing up and I would help you when I could. Then you went and joined battle and Dryzzel had no reason to talk to you anymore. Once the war started, he wanted to have a solo fight against you. However, apparently solo fights only count when you have the head.
I'm sure you have some words for me, but just know I knew why you were tattooed ooc, but Dryzzel didn't like you for reasons above.

I remember equipping/growing up with you, knowing that you would grow up to be a force. I never knew that you would turn out to be one of my biggest enemies, though. Though (once again) Kackrik hated all imperials, you were one of the few I had respect for. Blades tend to piss me off less then the other Sects, even OOC, because some of them actually have respect for the other players of the game. If I gained your respect OOC, then thats all that matters to me. RP is RP and I try to cherish it in all forms.

So that is why you parried the ram so well. Seems like quite an interesting legacy for offensive specialists, forsure. I'll keep that in mind.
It started off a little uneasy between our characters, with you landing a stunning cranial on me and calling in another villager with entwine to finish me off while I was out of form and out cold. That rubbed me the wrong way, but we got into quite a number of one-on-one fights after that and I must say that Kackrik began to grow on me very quickly since then. Anything from his speech to his attitude to that mutual scowl between our characters, I just loved to see it in action every time. And in the end, I actually found myself picking fights with you just for the oppurtunity to interact with Kackrik again, which should speak volumes about the appreciation that I had for your character from an OOC point of view. Seeing you obtain your tattoo right in front of my eyes during that raid on the village was quite a lovely thing to witness as well. It was definitely a tattoo well earned.
Kackrik was the best of the villagers I've interacted with with this character. Not to mention that his balls-to-the-wall attitude eventually rubbed of a little on my own character as well - thanks for that. It may have cost me three conpoints on its own already, but I had fun in return for it. Towards the end however things became one-sided, which was why I was avoiding you a bit lately. I basically wanted to save some of those conpoints for later on.
I know I'll be missing Kackrik at the end of the day. But Jaynus, tell me one thing. When I squeezed you that one time in Hamsah, were you basically letting me have that fight or did you seriously miscalculate somewhere? I've always wanted to know this. And don't lie.
Either way, well done. And until we meet again in CF in whatever form or shape.
Arthakar - now milkless at the village for evermore.

Lo and behold, that battle is when my true newbiness shone through. I simply did not know what would happen. I figured it was impossible to get knocked out while thirsted and I knew NOTHING about the anaconda. After that, I think I punched myself in the head, vowing to never fall like that again. I didn't
Arthakar was sort of a respected enemy to Kackrik. He thought you were weak, of course, but liked how you kept running at him - albiet as of late, in gangs. Thanks to you, I know what I'm up against when I fight anaconda's now (both in the jungle and in MUD).

Heh, we had some funny fights. I also know all about Roleplay getting you into a tight spot an likely dying because of it. Do not know why I charged into the Destructor with just reduce an fly, but I did. Guess I thought you'd be bleeding more from Impale, strange you weren't. Left you at writhing I think, killed the Giant an you were at few scratches. Glad you enjoyed the character, its rare to find a certain class/race/roleplay you can really grasp, and it makes for some fun. Well, make another Villager, cause I need someone to fight.

Damn I knew I forgot someone! Woopooga, your RP is hilarious. I remember hearing on the cabal channel 'woopooga killed me, woopooga looted me' and thought "I can't wait to fight this guy when he gets in my range". Well, that time came and I got to fight you on my own ground - effectively allowing your characters envy and rage to get you killed. I spoke with you not 2 minutes and realized what your character was out to do (coupled with the description). I must say, 4 thumbs up for the awesome roleplay. Maybe you can leave the goddamn Villagers alone now, or what?

Wish I had the log of when I was standing in the inn waiting on a group of maran to get together to raid scion. A certain plucky duergar out of nowhere starts offering to help me raid. I said as much over the cabal channel and it caused quite a chuckle and a few confused comments. In any case, that's when I knew Kackrik was a char I was going to have fun with. Good char, and good luck.

Tcatama,
Kackrik definately looked up to you. I was there when you were taking on the hoardes of Imperials/Scion by yourself, either dying or sending a few running. It's something he began to respect in you, but when you died - all hope for a Maran peace was reliquished. As I said in your death message, I was happy to see a change in the Maran RP. It's refreshing and I tried to show both my OOC and IC respects with it.

I think you misinterpreted what I said. I said something along the lines that you resisted Kelrizza's spells better than most. I don't think that's breaking IC. Furthermore, I could have sworn you had "calming the tempest" as one of your legacies and that's what I was referring to.
But I really had a lot of respect for you both IC and OOC. You were one of the few villagers who would never back down from a fight with me and you made every single battle a tough one. Again, I think you did a great job with your character and if I said something belittling to you IC, well, that's just IC.

plenty of run-ins with other characters (all ended badly for me) but this one moment with lerrik at the edge of galadon. dropped a scion unconcious killed the walker with him. then bleeding and poisoned etc.. etc.. couldn't wield any weapons better than half dead anyway. was wondering if i could finish it barehanded and thinking 'hrm maybe I oughta get outta here.' you look at him, look at me and say 'you'd better get out of here.' *rofl* thanks for the advice! I took it and ran like hell. The only time with any character I interacted with you and did not die from it. Nice job of being a bastard though.

Yes, he is a cheeky bugger. I was sure you'd figure that out by now.. heh. Kackrik thought of you as sort of a girlfriend of his, though he would NEVER EVER tell you (or even admit it to himself). Soucivi was sort of an exotic woman that Kackrik would have liked to experience, something akin to Inzae of the past, but that never came through. Instead, your leadership qualities and assistance with RP did all the work, making me look good and you look even better. There is something I like to call Assist-RP. It's when someone likes another RP so much, they sort of step out of the spotlight and let the other do his work for a moment. I believe you did this best and I appreciate every moment of it. Your a great roleplayer and I hope you find the ambition to get the story done, even now I'm dead! Good luck and have a tankard for me, eh?

------ Damn, I thought you would've gotten more Con than that for your quest. You were easily Vex's favorite character, and I really regret screwing up those last couple of raids. Vex really does resent people trying to tell him what to do, but most of the things you would 'order' me to do I would be doing anyway and the annoyance would be offset by you voicing your criticisms of others since I couldn't. Plus, you had me cracking up a lot of the time OOC when I'd imagine my character's reactions to some of the things you'd say. I'd like to think my bandages could take credit for some of your pleasant pk ratio, but you were a beast and no doubt would have been fine without me. My email is lick0018@umn.edu if you want to send me one!

Good luck with Scion, don't be too mean on Battle now
Heh, two nights ago was the first day after my operation and I've been on painkillers every waking moment of my day so I didn't really mind when I died, I just had a good laugh at my own stupidity. I also died twice yesterday, and I anticipate I shall loose a few more con till next week sometime when I can get off the medication, but hey that's what leader con is for! Scions if your reading this DONT LET ME LEAD THE GROUP
Its all good. As for Kackrik, I guess I liked fighting you because you could kill me so easily. Unfortunately for me, whenever we fought you had the head (and hence instant -str negation), which is possibly the most painful thing to go up against as an assassin. But thats how it goes, simply by your presence you saved the lives of a lot of ragers, I'm going to have a lot of fun now that your gone

I only fought you once. You wandered into one of my quicksands, I sat there waiting to see what you'd do (because you weren't my intended target), you cranialled and I worded. I refused to fight ragers with my invoker. Anyhow I have two things to say:
a) Just because you are trying to roleplay an angry scotsman doesn't mean you should put a swear word in every sentence. I know of another, similar, MUD that has banned swearing altogether. I think the use of the curse emote should be enough. Hearing "Fargen ####e" all the time was bloodying annoying and it spread to newbies like Haljunei. We should keep it clean.
b) I'm actually glad you enjoyed your character so much. I can't even remember when I enjoyed a character as much as you seemed to have enjoyed Kackrik. I'd guess that Kackrik was the most successful first hero since Challen. Given time you'll turn into a sour, old critic like me.
Next time please go easy on the fargen ####e, it really is annoying.

I did nothing to make you feel like you knew nothing. You just wanted to cause trouble. Which you didn't, you know. Not one person decided to listen to your little petulant note telling them not to interview me. In fact one did that very night, saying, if I remember rightly, "Kackrik's an ass, don't worry about it."
I'll let the log speak for itself, it is somewhat long and unedited:

His beard is twisted in to a tight braid on the right side of his chin, while the other side has been abruptly cut off. His eyes however, speak volumes. His darkened grey eyes mixture of hatred and experience with the ways of battle, following every movement very closely. He has an air of confidence and assurance about him, seeming to know exactly what is about to happen. His eyes (and the scars adorning his body) depict a life fraught with battle and constant war - with his body and soul. He glances at whomever enters whatever area he is currently in, seeming to quickly size them up. His height is at about 4'2, but he wears large boots that make him a clean 4'4. He holds his weapons with confidence, definately looking knowledgable in the ways of combat. A large scar trails down his left wrist, as if cut by force, from a very sharp knife. Thanks for posting that, it reminded me how much fun I had with your character. You also proved my point, beyond a doubt, on how incredibly cocky your character was. I won't say much, but what I will say is this: Zhelrantix should have listened to my note. I was right, you deleted.. hell, you even threatened Grogim because you thought you were 'right' above all. Yes, my character hated yours. Put it together - two Duergar with different speaking styles/backgrounds.. you expect them to get along? Stop dreaming.
By the way, I'm not your pal. Bye!

If you had been interviewed by someone exactly like Kackrik, you'd never have been allowed into Battle. Actively going out of your way to screw over another character for no apparent reason is just poor form. What the hell are you talking about Guardlon being arrogant and thinking he is better than you? Were we reading the same log? All I saw was a stupid moron swearing and an applicant having to digest it all. No wonder you weren'y liked. Just because Guardlon didn't kiss your ass like a lot of weaker applicants would have doesn't mean that he disrespects you IC and doesn't mean he is being arrogant. You should never be in a position of authority, let alone an Immortal. That log speaks volumes.

I think you need to take the rose tinted glasses off. Forgetting all your other (absurd - deletion subsequent is a reason for being an ass in the first instance?) comments, your last one is silly. Why shouldn't two duergs who speak differently and have different backgrounds get along? It is just as reasonable (or more) to say they would than to say they wouldn't. Show me something, anything, anywhere, that says they wouldn't, that supports your belief. Go to aran'gird, they are all different, yet somehow they have managed to maintain a society for thousands and thousands of years. You just wanted to be an ass, which you did well, but that doesn't make it more legitimate a duerg roleplay than anything else. In fact it is likely less so, as the person you were talking to in this instance has a few rather large commonalities with you - both warriors, both wanting to fight magic, etc., which makes them alike and not dislike.

The village isn't aran'gird, nor a 'society'. It's a place where bloodthirsty barbarians maintain a loose confederation based on mutual hatred of magic and survival of the fittest. A place where someone like Kackrik can stand out instead of being tortured to death by the king's guards. So if an unproven duergar walks up to a battle-scared and notoriously foul-tempered elder duergar talking like a drow or human, and then sarcastically asks if he's a god in disguise...well, get ready to catch ####. My $.02. If Kackrik acted like an ass, it's because he WAS an ass, and didn't bother to make a secret of it.

I thought I did well. I'm sick of people allowing everyone and everything in to the Village. Sorry if I thought someone had to actually work for a hut?

There is nothing quite like being roleplayed at. And you certainly took the horribly annoying textual language to a new annoyance. But you stuck it out at times when other chumps would log out, so kudos for that. I'm just glad I wasn't forced to interact with you like Guardlon.

It is obvious Kackrik was being abrasive, which is a refreshing change from most CE characters, especially ragers. It annoys me to no end to see evil ragers (like Hastur's CE rager Melkorath, for example) that are as polite, courteous, and have generally very little (if any) hints of being evil. Really, what reason would a Maran have for fighting someone like that? In my opinion, CE, especially in a barabarian village, would be more openly abrasive and put more emphasis on being intimidating and condescending in order to dictate rank and position.
If there is a character like this, and you walk up and make them feel inferior in any way (whether real or simply perceived), you're asking for trouble, unless you can put them in their place (or convince them you can put them in their place). I think Kackrik did a good job of giving you a hard time. To be honest, I bet the character would have preferred Guardlon to "bristle the fur on his back," so to speak, then "tuck tail" and acknowledge Kackrik as his superior, regardless of what was being said. Just like real life, sometimes how you approach a subject is far more important than what is actually being discussed.
I'm not saying Guardlon is a bad roleplayer. I don't know anything about the character other than this log. Just a different style. More of a well-spoken nitpicker, unable to deal with the chaos aspects of a chaotic evil character.
Kackrik: you didn't have an 80% pk ratio. 106 wins and 59 losses means a 64% pk ratio, which is still very nice. Kackrik wasn't a "old school" rager, but he was very well played. Nice job.
Hutto, the Sleepy Nitpicker
P.S. I'm not trying to pick on Hastur, I'm sure he's a great guy. Melkorath just stands out in my mind as an really nice fire giant.

Chaotic Evil: The bane of all that is good and organized. Laws and governments are the tools of weaklings unable to fend for themselves. The strong have a right to what they want, and weak are there to be exploited. Leadership among CEs is based on power, with the leader capable of bullying his underlings into obedience.

Thanks.
By the way, the PK ratio was a complete guess. As well, if the Empire war didn't come in.. heh (I lost 5 con in a week, a new record for me). I tried my absolute best to play Kackrik as a Chaotic Evil, with Dedication in mind. I am also most certainly not an old school Rager, I'm a newbie! However, I tried my best to stir up the pot.. give Ragers something 'new' and try to roleplay my ass off.

When I was in the low levels you kept sending me tells meant for a different "Jae" and I was immediatly amused by you. Dwarves and duergar are my favorite races, and you were doing a bang up job. The last tells we had (talking about the codex) were fun for me, and I wish that I wasn't terribly busy at the time because I'd have liked to RP the Maran captain talking to the filthy village Oathbreaker.
Good luck man.
