What we have to pay for the PK ratio now? Hah!
But seriously, I enjoyed the character. From my perspective though there was a real lack of foes that I was set up to fight as a scout assassin. I would have had more fun as a berserker I bet.
Zylundak, your induction methods were dead on in my opinion. I think it would be interesting to see your standards or tougher implemented, restrict the village population, and bring back pre-Thror bloodthirst.
I disappeared when my isp went to hell, and by the time it came back two weeks later I'd lost the feeling for the character. And now he's all dead.

Was it a part of your role to get the #### kicked out of you, then to talk mad amounts of smack?
When Nampnotble con died, I had a little section in my farewell post, talking about a handfull of villagers who wouldn't fight alone, or who wouldn't fight me unless I was already hitting something else. You were like, the great grandaddy of all of them. You wouldn't ever fight without odds in your favor, you'd hide from me or log in and out according to who else was on to help you, and then talked like you were King Shiznit. So seriously, was that your role? I have a hard time believing anyone could behave like you did, then talk as much #### as you.

I'd love to see some proof of your accusations.
I call utter BS on your assertion that I logged in and out according to the PK range, you obviously don't know me.
I don't recall ever talking smack to you. And as to never fighting you without the odds being in my favor, well on the one hand, thanks for the compliment, it definately wasn't in my role as a scout assassin to have the #### kicked out of me by a hasted lion and like it, so I tended to avoid it. On the other hand, and perhaps one of us has selective memory, but I do remember taking you on a handful of times surviving a few of them and dying to the rake lag in others.
You must have trouble grasping the concept of "if its not a good fight for me, I'm not going to fight it" I don't, so I didn't.

Man, I'm not going to turn this into a flamewar, and start throwing logs around. To be blunt, your character wasn't important enough to me to log his logging pattern. It was NOT just my observation however either. It was actually so bad it got to be a joke between the Nexans. The commander or another elder would log in, and one or the other of us would say "The commander/general/random Rager in our range is about. I'll be expecting Maelduin anytime now." We were spot on about 90% of the time. I don't know if it's a "playing from the same general area" as other players, and if you and certain others got out of school or work or whatever at similar times and just happened to log in like that, or what. I'm not saying it COULDN'T be the case that it was just coincidental. I'm just telling you how it looked to just about everyone on our side of the fence. If you say it wasn't intentional, I'm not going to call you a liar.

You talked an insane amount of smack about how you were going to kill me, usually with the safety of other villagers watching your back. How I was weaker than you, despite having just ripped you apart, etc etc. Thats why I was asking if it was in your role or not. If so, then good job. Thats all.

OK now this I'm going to be pretty specific on. I'm not expecting you to rush out and knowingly die to someone you kow is going to rip you to pieces. But there were assassins I could count on being able to breeze through, and some that gave me pause and caused me to be sure to be 100% ready for them. You fell into the former category. I know a lion/assassin fight isn't exactly a yummy prospect for the assassin, but there were some who could do it without resorting to having to get other people to help them. I just felt you didn't really try hard enough, or vary your tactics enough.
Koide would be a good example of this. (Not as an assassin, just in general) When Koide and I first started being able to fight, it always went badly for him. I mean HORRIBLY. Just...ick. But he kept trying, and worked out tactics that actually won him a victory or two, and certainly made me much more wary of fighting him. I also think it helped him grow as a player. I suppose thats what I kept looking for in you as a foe. I WANTED you to fight me, not for an easy victory, but because I wanted you to learn from our fights. I wanted to be able to walk away form a fight with you and say to myself, win or lose "Wow that was a great fight". If my post came off flamey, I'm sorry it wasn't intended to. Well except for the part about logging in and out, but if you say it wasn't intentional, then I'll take that at face value. > >

I've just been perusing the rager fallout and came across this post. I remember back when you were fun and witty not bitter and condescending, this isn't an attack; this is a madcap, sas, etc. pico racing for immortal mudder who's astounded at the change. 'If' as you claim, your intention was to broaden his assassin's horizons with respect to conflict and fighting shifters, then you wouldn't be so bitter about smack talking alledged or real. You don't beat a kid for telling you you're stupid because you can't teach them something. Lighten up, if you want to make an impact then don't go after someone mouth blaring and nostrils flaring. Remember old entropy notes you'd once written that a friend of mine still recalls and laughs about to this day. Remember it's a game and while every character 'should' be different and 'unique', no one elected anyone else to be their self-appointed instructor. It's a game have fun, and enjoy yourself. And while you're at it, let the other schmoe on the term somewhere else do the same. Peace, Hysh
