#20871, "Trexarus the Field Marshal of Legion, Black Servant"

Had a lot of fun early with this character, enjoyed his roleplay alot. But more and more, I was finding less enjoyment. I didn't want to be part of a mass Empire delete, just happened that way. The political maneuvering within Empire for Emporer was what was really keeping me going, and after one was chosen I knew it was probably just a matter of time. Figured I'd give it one more good try, logged on, regeared, unghosted, went to Hamsah for food, MANGLE, MANGLE, (me: hit.....yea me) ERADICATE, ERADICATE....dead

First

THE GOOD
PK: Got some people at lower lower levels. Tried not to full loot, tried not to gang. Did pretty good.

EMPIRE: Loved it. I really enjoyed playing in that cabal although it was hard with Trex's role. Had to pull back some things I wanted to say. I love the political infighting among the Sects, really enjoyed the players and cabal.

RP: Thought I had a strong rp with him. I would rp alot by myself when I could. Sphere Vanity was cool to try, and though I went for the obvious in his role, I enjoyed myself immensly with it.

GANGS: Tried to stay away from that. Only really grouped to rank and raid. Tried not to full loot. When I did, it was A: Raid situation, and I figured it was all disappearing anyway so I might as well grab what I can, or B: I was grouped and someone happened into our way, same result. Other than that, tried to leave most peoples stuff on their corpse.

THE BAD:

PK: At higher levels where the big boys play...well, Lets just say I seriously doubt I put the fear of God into anyone when I logged on. Probably a couple people were happy to see me around. Played this game alot of years, still workin on that.

DONATIONS: Hated em. Trex hated them. Understand completely why they are there, just hated the idea of being promoted on the basis of them. Donating 8 Million copper was not gonna happen. Found little enjoyment in it.

RECALL: Hated recalling to Balator, waiting at the pit to unghost only to find I couldn't see my equipment because I was human and had no light source. If we want people to move away from Galadon, we shouldn't penalize them for it. I may be wrong, but I think this is the only Hometown pit that doesn't have a light source. Easy enough around, save copper in the bank, run around, and find something glowing to wear briefly, but if you forget its a real hassle. Don't see the point in not having light in their is all.

NIGHTGAUNTS: Died this way a few times. Hate how powerful they are.

PEOPLE:

Astilamos: Talked to you first about the oath. I thought you were a good Emperor. You aged deathed a character, which shows you were around all the time. Great for a leader. People may bitch, but the bitch when leaders are never around. You can't win. THought you did a nice job.

Khalizad: I LOVED your character. Thought he was incredibly well roleplayed. An incredible fighter and a great Sect Leader. Trexarus hated you. He thought you were a complete fool, and seriously thought of anathema if you had become emperor. He couldn't have been led by who he thought was an idiot. Our conversation trying to explain politics to you was HILARIOUS. It was like trying to explain baseball to a 4 year old.
Khal: Me hit ball.
Trex: Yes, but you may want to bunt instead.
Khal: Me hit ball.
Trex: Well, yes, but in this situation a bunt or a sac fly might be more prudent......
Khal: ME HIT BALL!!
Trex: (sigh) Yes, you hit ball.
A great character.

Azeri: Loved when we were in range together. The assassination at the the Maran after the other sect was talking smack on you was priceless. Well done.

Amadalie: My political partner in crime. Had things gone the way we spoke, I could have been Dread Lord. Though I didn't deserve it. I loved our political talk. When you said, "I'll promote you" you hit Trex right on the head.

Other Empire: Really enjoyed everyone involved. Early days we NEVER had the Codex, but few on the other side seem to remember this.

Shokai: Thank you wholeheartedly for the immeraction. Was seriously one of the highlights of this character. I talked to Sune Rai quite a bit, and when you popped up, I thought it was brilliant the way you handled the situation. Thanks.

Lots of other people, but this is getting long so, I'll try to finish up

Rhual: A beast. You and a healer. Kill me. You in a gang, Kill me. You single, Kill me. Me in a gang, Kill me. Just a tough character and well suited to stop an anti-paladin, never caught you off guard. Well done.

Kakashi: We had a rivalry started then I rarely seen you. I enjoyed the fights though.

Coronado: Trex's first fight was with you at the orphans, then never again. Liked what I seen of your character. Well done.

Everyone else: Lots of you I'm missing, just drop a thread and I'll answer. Thanks for the fun.

Heh, you are one of alot that I didnt really involve with any politics, save for that conversation, I was thinking of a way to use you, but to be honest, I was a fire giant, so I couldnt really do anything super devious, and also fire giants arent that smart, or cunning, so I couldnt have that big of a web. Kinda sucked in alot of ways, but let me concentrate on a few people.
That example you gave, yeah, that is something exactly like Khalizad would have said. hehe
keep in mind the chars though, I am not going to have an overly bright or overlywise fire giant. I dont see them as being so, also, fire giants tend to blurt out things, so yeah, I did let some things slip with you. As a char it was natural, as a player ooc, I felt like if he says some of these things to another, I could be anathema.. heh
